would be interesting if this could be used to find the exact values for combat calculators. before this it'd be all but impossible to get 5-10 levels without raising one of the others (generally hp).

You can expect some revisions to this guide soon. I have altered my methods, and in most my trips now I get at least 20-30 kills (myself), with my team usually lasting a good hour, hour and a half, and sometimes more.

If you have the upgraded ring of charos, the boat rides to and from karamja/brimhaven are free!

one night I was ranging greaters in Entrana, getting all sorts of nice rune helmets, half keys, etc, and had at least 60k gp in cash on me... I ranged until I fell asleep at my computer... it was the weekend, so no big deal. when I logged in the next day, I was in lumby with 2 rune larges and a ring of wealth... Not sure how, guess I moved out of a safe spot or something (this was before evil chickens). I think what annoyed me the most is that ring of wealth protected over my glory ammy.

I adore getting big XP jumps... here are a few things I've done that I'm kinda proud of: 1: Got over 1m magic xp in a day (without lame charging) 2: Got 1.3m fletching xp in an hour and 40 minutes 3: went from 53 to 65 agility within a couple hours (using quests and tickets) 4: Went from 77 to 90 prayer within 2 days of playing. 1.8m xp the first day, 2.3m the next day. This is unrelated, but it also tends to surprise people that I got to 90 crafting without every buying hides (unless I found them for lower than alching prices. aka under 1500 per green, under 1800 per blue) oh... and did legends quest in the 60s combat Got dragon chain at 73 combat without ever merchanting, staking, or playing a previous account

* odd slaps the author of this post with a large trout In case you didn't notice, there was a new quest today! If you did the quest or read about it, you find that the quest requires you to kill animals and bring their bones to an "odd old man" Now think about this... You get at least a thousand players on each server who like to do the quest on the day it's released... so instead of players being all spread out across the world, they all want the same loot. You may not have remembered the first series of desert quests. Shantay used to stock only 10 passes at a time. These quests made people very irritated because they had to wait and wait to get shantay passes to get in the desert. Thus Jagex raised the shop limit to 500. Likewise, with this quest, Jagex took precautions and made the respawn of the monsters you need to kill in this quest almost instant. Kudos to Jagex for trying to prevent a problem BEFORE people complain about it... but I would hardly say that this will effect the economy. 1: this is probably a temporary thing for the first few days of the quest. 2: Even if it isn't, unicorns are the only creatures this has happened with that have a useful drop, and you can fight unicorns in the wild (as most people getting horns do), where you generally don't have to wait for a respawn anyway... at least i never do.

With all the people trying, I'm sure if somebody got one off the smaller basilisk, we would've heard it by now. Jagex probably just messed up something and we can't get it, or there's just somewhere/something nobody's figured out yet. My guess is the former...

Jagex needs to decide how they're going to spell "dagannoth" On the list it is spelled "dagganoth" and the bone is spelled "dagannoth" the knowledge base has stuff with both spellings too. LOL

no offense, but if you're level 1 defense and getting hit hard, why did you even AFK at all? Also, you should never train wearing your rares. Sorry to hear about your bad luck though

technically I don't usually go with intention to solo, I just usually end up lasting over twice as long as the others and that makes the last part of the trip solo. My colleagues have improved though and even though I'm still usually last to leave, there's less and less of a time gap now :P

Well, if Cdub and Leesters didn't get their money's worth last night, they DEFINITELY got it today! We took 2 trips, starting at 11 PM. It's 3 AM now, if that indicates how long we take to do 2 trips ;) And that's leaving the 2nd trip with half our pots left (I'll explain later). The first trip 5 of us went. It was a grand ol' time, nothing exciting to tell about, but Cdub and Metallica maged; Leesters, Markkei, and I ranged; and in between prime kills, Leesters and I killed Supreme. Cdub and Metallica got an axe and berserker ring (the ring after Metallica had to teleport), and Leesters and I got an archers ring. Markkei got most of the Prime kills but I don't think he got anything off him. As Leesters TRIES to leave, he gets the Drill Demon random event, stuck on range pray, low HP, and poisoned. Luckily when he came back into the room, Prime did not attack, and he teleported safely away. Then three of us went back, Metallica, Leesters and I... and god was this trip a disaster waiting to happen. First thing, Leesters isn't quite used to the area yet, so he doesn't know by heart what prayer he'll need in the upcoming room. He was down some food before we ever went in. Then we go in and supreme is just tearing up Leesters and me. To make things worse, we can't hit jack on him, and our Guthan wasn't healing. We used up at least half our food just killing him. Then to make matters worse, a few moments into the trip Leesters gets ANOTHER random event. "Greetings Leesters... Here, It's all yours" That's right, mystery box in multi combat fighting level 303s. To make matters worse, we're in the middle of fighting prime, he's already low on food, and he'd have to run past supreme to go outside and try to do it. Finally we kill off prime and he runs out to do his box, waiting for me to kill Prime again before returning. We keep fighting low on food, and everything going wrong. Soon after this, while trying to fight Supreme, Leesters gets mauled by Rex as Prime respawns. This is a situation he hasn't had to deal with much, so he still panics just a little when this happens :P He runs around like a chicken with his poor little head cut off, till finally we get Rex distracted by our mage. Then, as fate would have it... "Greetings Oddfaery2... Here, it's all yours" That's right... now me. some good luck, huh? I went upstairs and quickly returned, box free :) and we continue our horrible, suicidal journey. Sadly, I soon got a message "From Metallica56: I'm out of runes, I'm tele-ing" Great... just great. We're fighting supreme, waiting for Prime and Rex to both spawn on us, and Leesters is foodless at 40hp or less very reluctant to teleport. As soon as Rex pops up, he hit that button like a good man :) I tried to stay, but I couldn't fight prime with Rex chasing me, at least not without runes. I tried running out, but Rex stayed by the ladder when I came back in, and if I waited too long Supreme would be back and I'd get slaughtered. I teleport away with over half my prayer pots still in my bag, and come to the bank to find out Leesters had not only gotten a mud staff on our trip, but also a Seers Ring. 8m in items, and I wanted the staff, so I GLADLY gave him 500k for my mud staff to keep and cherish and cuddle with when nobody is looking... oops I said that out loud. Despite our awful luck, Leesters came out with 4m in drops tonight, and Cdub got himself a good 4m of his own. Congratulations masters!

Was lots of fun! I felt bad for Leesters part of the time because he got nailed so hard the first trip and then tele-ed out after first kill on the second... He got to use me but wasn't there for the fun. LOL That story was great Leesters... had me laughing the whole time. :D Anyway, I didn't take many pics either... was too busy trying to keep Rex off you guys :P But I bet you'll like this one: Too bad I didn't get the berserker ring till later that evening :( Or that I didn't have another trip like this :P

I would assume the entire thing was fiction, considering that Jagex doesn't even know the RSN of The Editor... actually not even everybody on the Tip.It staff knows who this elusive character is... *feels weak*

I wouldn't really say it's a spoiler for the quest... most this seems to be very loosely related... stuff that wasn't in the quest at all. Unless Jagex has told the editor something they haven't told the rest of us... I think this is fiction.
