as far as I know, if an account is banned/deleted, the name remains unavailable for future use. So even if his stats are wiped, nobody can take his place. Of course, I have no idea if accounts are every fully deleted, and the stats are wiped, or if they just throw them all into bans.

Dragon legs cost more than dragon chain?!
oddfaery2 replied to drgnslyer_15's topic in General Discussion
acording to jagex, if u actualy make a full dragon sq, they u drop the value of the right half (right half costs 750k, full shield sells for 200k, suggesting 400k sell value). *? Name: Dragon sq shield (See also: 1188) | ID: 1187 | Examine: An ancient and powerful looking Dragon Square shield. | Info: Non Stackable - P2P | Sell: [HiAlch] 300,000gp [LowAlch/GenStore] 200,000gp | Buy: [specShop] 500,000gp [GenStore] 625,000gp compared to the right half, which costs 750k. So i'm right, making the full sq devalues the right half apparently according to Sony's info, the alch/sell prices are same for the right half... but I'm not about to go buy any to check :P -

Failing Agility Obstacles -- Unknown factors?

I've heard that and suspected that before too, but I didn't fail any when I was nearing the last 3-4 levels, so I dropped that thought. -

Proper grammar isn't even half of it. You just whine about proper grammar a lot (or at least I've taken notice to it). If you even are oddfaery2... which I'm assuming you are. Why you're using a different user name to argue with me now makes about as much sense as what you're saying. Go figure... Since you are abbreviating figure with "fig"... makes it hard to believe you are who I think you are. Either way... if you are trying to emulate someone you're not... I'm sure thats grounds to get you banned. Might bring that up with the Admins there. As far as the first part. Making threads on a forum and harrassing individuals in game are again... as I said... two totally different things. The forums are where they really should be going. Not putting some random person on follow and bothering them. Forums are the most unique medium to get and find answers. And you really don't have to go out of your way to get such answers if you know where to look and how to properly use forums. If I have to spell this out any further I will... but I will let it be known that I am slowly starting to get tired of explaining my logic to someone who simply just isn't comprehending. Plus this topic is slowly starting to get off topic. LOL go ahead and go to the admins... they'll gladly explain to you why I (rarely) use a second account. You seem to think I can't comprehend your logic... I comprehend it fully... I just disagree. Perhaps it is just me, but I'd expect more maturity on the forums than in the game, not the other way around. -
Failing Agility Obstacles -- Unknown factors?
oddfaery2 replied to oddfaery2's topic in General Discussion
i dont see how that would make a difference. assuming the runescape character uses a backpack to hold items in inventory, if you have a back pack full of items and a backpack with one item both weighing the same...i dont see how the backpack full of items could make you fall more. i understand this is a game, but in logic, the only contributing cause would be weight, not amount of items. but that is my opinion, im not an agility expert in life or in the game. I don't see how either... it makes little to no sense... which is why I posted lol... as I said in the first post, over 500k (consecutive) xp without failures while carrying no unnecessary items. 20k xp with 6 failures while carrying no weight, but a full inventory of weightless items... So while it DOESN'T make sense to be a factor... perhaps it is? -

I'm not suggesting otherwise... just that they may not be the ONLY factors... -

Funny you say that while at the same time... Public Chat: OFF -- easy fix They still follow you. You act as if ignoring them helps when it obviously doesn't. Shouldn't have to deal with harrassment in general. Whether its verbal or someone just simply placing you on follow, trade spamming, or anything of the sort. I hate these stupid clicḫ̩̉̉s that everyone uses. I shouldn't have to place private or public chat to friends or off. I should be able to be open to meet other people and chat, but without being harrassed by others. Is that too hard to comprehend, or do I have to go into further detail? So... umm... What do you expect out of 13 year olds? Stop whining about it and let them do whatever it is they choose to do. -

I know weight does effect things; if I had additional weight I wouldn't have bothered posting. The point here is that even with the pots, my weight is still 0kg... so maybe weight isn't the (only) factor, but the spaces being taken up in inventory. e.g. perhaps you'd fail more with 10kg spread over 20 items than carrying 10kg with a single item. -

I recall people making topics about this ingenius new scam. They have people with whips come out to the wild for them, they they give the person 3 dragon scimitars, they pk them, and they get that person's whip. Yea, they tell you they want to make a vid of how good they are, they get you skulled then poision you and all that stuff then they kill you after giving you 4 draogn scimmys and they end up with whip....... Thats why i think the shop price of the whip should be more like 200k not 40k because of this whole scam..... The only reason whips cost what they do (in trades, not shops) is because the limited number of 85 slayers. If everybody raised their combat only by means of slayer, whips would be worthless, at least to anybody past 90-110 combat. (I was 82 combat when slayer came out, 104 when I got 85) Give it a year or two and whips will only be 400-500k TOPS, and people won't be killing abbies for gp anymore (Assuming they don't change the difficulty of killing abyssal demons).

Tonight I just got done with a project I was working on and thought I'd give agility a little attention before I went to bed. As usual, I went to the Canifis agility course to do so, except tonight was a little different... Ever since 70 agility, while training in Canifis I only take two items: my ectophial and ring of Charos. From level 70-73 I fell MAYBE once or twice a level. Also, after falling, I was always back to full HP long before I would ever fall again. From level 73 on, I hadn't fallen a single time until tonight (started at 20k from level 77). I did my typical 2-item routine all this time, never worrying about food, because if I died I would just teleport back, no big deal (this is also the only way to get the stick out of the arena... and you can bank it). Tonight, as usual, I didn't take any food, as I haven't fallen enough to put myself in risk of death (30 hp or less), or even close, in several months. What i did do differently, however, is bring a nature amulet for the herbs just outside, and a load full of energy pots. Tonight was a spectacle... Within the first 5 trips I had already fallen from the zip line... I was quite shocked. After over 500k xp of never falling, any thoughts of my success rate being a fluke were completely out of my head. I continued on though, and within half an hour, I fell SIX times. The Suggestion: Is it possible that factors in falling could include the NUMBER of items you carry, and not just level or weight? Or is it possible that even if pots will give you a weight smaller than 1kg, that it will have this kind of impact? Perhaps somebody else could post their experiences? Maybe Jagex changed success rates? Maybe my streak was a fluke? Maybe # of items is a factor? So in summary, I'm suggesting that the number of items you carry may factor your agility success, even if they are weightless items. This is based on the following: over 500k xp in agility without a single failure while carrying 2 items 6 failures within 20k xp (after the 500k) while carrying an inventory of weightless pots. What do you think?

it wouldn't surprise me if they banned the account, as the owner obviously can't continue playing on it. Either that or deleted it (but I don't know if that would prevent future users from having that name or not). Also, after a while of inactivity, accounts go off the high scores, but I don't know how long that takes or if it's been that long since he quit.

Dragon legs cost more than dragon chain?!
oddfaery2 replied to drgnslyer_15's topic in General Discussion
by easier I was referring to the concentration required and risk involved with the process, not so much the drop rates... I know with Dust Devils you generally have to kill thousands upon thousands before getting a chain, but you can AFK at dust devils, you don't need to watch your prayer and hp religiously, or worry about when to pot up, etc. Iron dragons you just have to watch your prayer pots and/or antifires, and you're pretty much set. You won't take any damage while fighting them as long as you pay attention to what you're doing. KQ, however, takes a lot more effort to fight, as you need to watch prayer, pots, and HP with much more detail. That was how my statement was intended... I wasn't belittling the time it generally takes to get a chain at devils... they're just not difficult to kill. -
Sounds strange... When I had to recover my password I couldn't even answer all 5 of the recovery questions, and I didn't have any problems with it. The one I couldn't answer was a title of a book that was 300 miles away from me... *picks questions he doesn't know the answer to, and would have to look up, that way I can't accidentally spill the beans*

When I was on my noob (I Break Wind) over Christmas break it was pretty amusing to see how much people around level 10 trash talk and act like they're gods of Runescape compared to level 3s. No matter what level you are, you'll always find people that try to tell you things CAN'T happen that DO happen, and will always try to belittle anything joyful you come across... you just gotta ignore those people (or rub it in their face -- negative people hate that :P)
-
It really depends on the person and situation for what I would do.. If the person wasn't rude and just made a stupid mistake due to ignorance (e.g. I saw somebody die with 35k bronze arrows at iron dragons because they didn't think they'd need an antifire shield), I'll try to give their stuff back... of course sometimes you're not expecting it, so you don't catch the name :( However, there've been other times where somebody was rude or arrogant and their attitude alone is why I don't return their items. I had somebody in full guthix come to kill troll generals and apparently thought the one I was repetitively killing was the only option, and the unoccupied ones weren't good enough for him... when he forgot to pray and dropped guthix kite and helm, I didn't even think about giving it back. ~~~ It is reassuring to see people who generally return items though. I saw a pure thieving farmers in draynor, and when he got a watchman people tried to lock him in and make him lose his yellow phat (how lame!). Anyway, luckily for him, a good friend of mine was the one who picked up the yellow and returned it to the kid... you can't even begin to imagine how grateful this person was.

Dragon legs cost more than dragon chain?!
oddfaery2 replied to drgnslyer_15's topic in General Discussion
Exactly. Legs are worth more than chain in any armor. Now if only the price actually reflected that, I might be able to buy the chain I've been saving so hard for  My thoughts exactly. Same with skirt (which has same price as legs... why the heck would it be less to shop?) It's easy to forget that just because an item SELLS for more, doesn't mean that it's "worth" more, even though d legs are far easier to get than the d chain is (well, unless you consider dust devils). -
Based on what it took me to get bones to peaches, if my #s stay similar, this is what I'm going to need for full infinity, the best staff (keep in mind you have to upgrade), and the book: 10.6k nats, 4.3k laws, and 8.5k cosmics obviously if you don't get the staffs it'll take quite a bit less. This is using the level 6 enchantment.

level 46s usually have awesome stuff to drop... i totally would've vultured!
-
I saw a lot of people doing that while I was getting points... seems like a big waste to me. I was getting 6-7 of each shape and just doing the bonus shapes, and moving while I enchanted, and getting xp almost as fast as that...
-
Well the pots/food needed will vary, depending on what armor you wear, how many people you go with, and how well the people you go with do things. Whenever I solo-ed Rex in my Guthan (with bolt spells at that) I lasted quite a long time ;) The only time I really have trouble is when somebody trying to run away from a king starts coming to me and then I start getting hit by more than one. Also, found another spot to solo Rex... rofl I was with some friends and one was trying to get away from Rex, ran toward me, and had him chasing me while I was ranging supreme between Prime kills (not something I'll do again on a low bow lol) Finally I got him stuck here on the ladder ;)

I just got bones to peaches (as I wasn't playing over Christmas break when this came out) and thought my numbers might help. Here's what it took me 934 nats for 301 alch points 372 laws for 216 tele points 154 Nats for 200 grave points + 50 death, 43 bloods (this includes the nats I got back free) 679 cosmics for 2015 enchant points + 18 death, 15 blood (this includes the cosmics I got back free) So similarly, with my experience Telekentic: 1 Law = 0.58 points Alchemy: 1 Nature = 0.32 points Enchant: 1 Cosmic = 2.96 points Graveyard: 1 Nature = 1.29 points

Another Hillarious Scam Attempt [UPD: Page 3]
oddfaery2 replied to AMazeOfDeath's topic in General Discussion
Usually they have some kind of name with "mod" or "jagex" in it... lol... what a moron. For those who don't know this, Jagex will not only ever ask for your account information, but anybody on their staff has a GOLD crown next to their name when speaking, either public or private... Player moderators, similarly, will have a WHITE crown next to their name, and they should never ask for account information either (if they do report them). Anyway, that said.... one I had was some stupid name like Jagex Mod 4 or something to that effect... tried to tell me that he needed my password in order to give me a free santa hat from an otherwise inaccessible location in the game (was around Christmas time)
