lol ya guys u should chill...has anyone hit 19 since this update??maby they had one of thous secret updates they dont tell anyone I am using Magic Dartnow I still hit 19's at 93 Magic. I would love to hit 20's but its still a great training skill price wise opposed to other spells and a hell of a lot more fun to level then alcing or teleing to camelot. I'm not as annoyed as some of the people with this new update. I hope they give us a game update tomorrow, and will feel slighted if they don't. This was a cop out of an update, but useful for people who do not visit fansites like tip.it.

I'm thinking along the lines of a level, contest party (with prizes), and 3 piece dragon armor suicide to elvrag the dragon under karamja. Info will come as I get closer to level. I did fully intend to have my initial party, but after seeing the new propoganda on forums I refuse to take the chance. Nothing will be dropped at my party so it won't be a drop party. It will be a celebration of a hard earned accomplishment. I guess I won't get a huge showing but it will likely be just as memorable for those that do attend. Peace out. P.S. I was a BAD kid. Mods I've made my decision. I am not going to host the drop party any longer. Many people are trying to convince me it is legal but I stated my reasons for being overly cautious and request now that this topic is closed or locked to prevent flames and sour grapes. I've given away 12 whips, countless mauls, and got drunk one night and gave away +14 ( or more) santa hats. I don't owe anyone anything. After finding that drop parties can be considered a scam I don't want to walk the thin line of legal or not. Worse case scenario someone gets pked on their way to it, emails CS and says "I think Axe Man jack made a fake drop party through the abyss so I could get pked." BANNED! I wouldn't care of I was a level 90 nobody, but as someone who has essentially played this game full time the last year I think being banned for being generous would be a hard pill to swallow. Again sorry to those of you who were looking forward to the event.

Why should we be their guinea pigs. They make the game they should have all the answers and the right information. Now I have even less confidence in the answers I receive from Customer Support.

i been using magic dart exclusively to get 9 magic levels. Im 93 now and the max I have seen hit is 19. Other people said they have hit 20 but I've yet to witness that myself. The KB is "beta" but I would still expect more from Jagex being their game and all.

No. Yes it is the official jagex knowledge database but it is far from complete and has many things that are incorrect. For example, there is probally alot more: Slayer drop monster lists are incomplete. I got harpie swarms and other unlisted monsters from Shilo. It says you need to have completed drgon slayer to get into the champions guild. Not true, You need an amount of quest points. I haven't done dragon slayer and get in there just fine. since they can't give us complete information, Fansites the likes of Tip.it will always be superior. That is unless they give in like they did when ME2 came out and hold back information from us becasue JAGEX asked them too. We need an independant site to give us unbiased information. If fansitesfold becasue of this I would be very afraid.

Anyone who knows the time and location of my drop party could theoretically wait outside the abyss at the time of the drop party and attempt to be PK people coming to the event. I'm not going to risk having one person who did't get a good drop from my party directing Jagex' attention to this post, calling me a scammer, and jeopordizing my account. Don't tell me jagex doesn't look at fansites, because I recall full and well the day the Abyss came out it had a bug where mages could attack anyone who went down in the abyss and the victim couln't retaliate because it wasnt the wilderness. One character lost his full dragon and the person who posted the pictures of his abyss pk (which got him full dragon) had his account banned. I'm not going to throw a noob party at party petes, as I have given more than my share of freebies to the noobs of Runescape. I thank everyone for their early congratulations and apologize that we will no longer be able to celebrate it how I had hoped to. Maybe some of you benefitted by doing a quest you might not have otherwise. I'm glad to have inspired you. The rest of you think what you will, but I have to protect the character I have worked very hard over the past 2 years to maintain. Ive never had wyverns from any master...but I wouldn't count it out. I recently got 180 harpie swarms from shilo so I believe we might be able to get zygomites. I doubt it ob the wyverns though. If you did get them assigned I think it would be a low task, less than 25 like you get fro steel and black dragons. Slay On

dont forget your guthans...or use the safe spot provided in my guide where you can safely hally, mage, or range them. If i melee them Ill proally sepend a load of lobbies even at 99 def.

I wouldn't mind the price being dirt cheap if its drop rate was the same as it was previously. You could be fairly confident that if you spent the day there you would get 1 or 2 drops. That was a fantastic return for your time invested there. My only point is that the abyssal Demons don't drop whips like they used to and the price we get for them should reflect that. The person who mentioned the new slayer pies may have been right on the money. Now theres nothing stoping a good cook, who has 80 slayer, from eating a shortcut which will allow them a few hours at the Abyssal Demons. Jagex probally realized this and made the whip more rare. Believing that to be so I am taking a wait and see approach to the market. Each time I go to fally I see more buyers than sellers. Unfortuneately buyers have gotten lazy and would rather wait in fally for 3 hours spamming a low price than to pay 100-200k more to get the best weapon in the game which was terribly hard to obtain for the slayer who got it. If whips continue to decline in spite of jagex making its rate crawl to 1 a week for a full time slayer, I do belive that the skill of slayer will become insignifigant, until of course jagex releases a level 95 or 99 monster that release the upgrade to the Abyssal whip, the dragon tail, which hit the same but have a special of 100% firebreath which instantly smites anyone who doesnt have an antifire equipped. I'll start selling that at 80 Million!

What are you, WG? I personally have given away many whips (12) to friends and clanmates, and all other profits I have re-invested into slayer (cannonballs) or mage (runes). I am actually quite poor. If the profit from the skill dissapears because lazy noobs believe they deserve the whip cheaper and spam the prices in fally lower and lower then slayer will become another useless skill akin to firemaking. Then nobody would care to train it and the skill I love so much will die. I caution you not to insult people on these boards. You can easily get your point across without acting foolisly.

Lol. No need to flame me. Maybe this could be a rant or maybe it could be telling of a serious issue of drop manipulation on Jagex' end. I'll continue to kill them as assigned as I near my goal of 99 Slayer. To those of you common 85 slayers living at the Abyssal demons or those that plan to get 85 and then live there if the drop rate remains the way it has been currently, you will be severly disapointed. Abyssal demons are not worth killing if you are their soley for the whip. I would like anyone who camps there and has not noticed a signifigant decline in whip drops to post here and tell us how many they have gotten recently. Failing in that I will continue to believe that Jagex has decreased their drops. Jagex appears to have done drop manipulation. Believing this to be the case I will no longer sell the whips I receive until the price rebounds. Thats my opinion and something others should consider. Those of you not 85 slayer really have nothing to add to this thread other than jealousy or want of a cheaper whip. I'm interested to hear results of other slayers.

There are more buyers than sellers in fally. I think I will wait for a rise. No need to be so harsh, really. The truth is that whips just arent dropping. Those who get them shouldn't settle for less. if you get one hold it until they rise, or use them as stake bait. its the only way you will see a return from your investment into getting 85 slayer. Im Not asking 20 Mil. Imasking a fair return for my time and the expense of hunting the demon. Of topic: Canada just beat USA in the WBC. The nation is in grief. fair enough...My whips will be coming to the market from a dueler then. But at the rate they are dropping demand will quickly outweigh the supply. Price will rise, then I will sell.

Well Id rather stake my whips, whip for whip, at the duel arena then sell it cheaper than its worth. Im never bringing aother whip into the economy through falador unless I get 5M for it. Ill stake it though:-).

when I go to world 2 there are more buyers then seller. Instead of giving in for a quick sale I'd rather get my value out of them.

I don't know for certain but I can say for myself and many other Slayers that the Abyssal Demon, which I kill 600-800 of each day on assignment, are no longer dropping the Abyssal Whip with the frequency they have in the past. When I first got 85 slayer they dropped them as commonly as a Rune Medium Helmet from a Lesser Demon. Now they will drop, if you are lucky, 1 out of ever 1000 Abyssal Demon's killed. The effort, time, and expense required to get one are now much higher than they were in the past, becaseu of this its value should rise. I am now refusing to sell my whips for less than 5 Million GP. I would rather let them rot in my bank then to allow an unskilled market watcher the ability to get one. Those of you who get one, take a look back and see how hard it was to procure. Dont sell it. If we all do this the price will rise to what it is actually worth.

2 weeks maybe but I have some rl stuff going on so I might throw the party the last sat in march if I made it by then...earlier if I get it by the third sat.
