If you keep playing games you'll probally be back, as this game is the most addicting out of all MMORPGS. This game is virtually impossible to become good at without dedicating a good deal of time to it. Since you can't moderate properly and have decided to knock the game becasue of that I can only say Bye. Get a new hobby away from computers,something more taxing and fullfilling. And when you dont excel or get bored with it, make a big production out of it and try get everyone you play with to quit and go with you to your next hobby that you feel is superior to your last. My advice to you. Enroll in a karate class and learn some discipline. Random? Yes. Helpfull? Probally. BYE!

They arent a better monster to kill but they are an assignment I wouldnt pass up. Useing the safe spot they are very easily killed and you are almost guarenteed at least 1 pair of boots per assignment. They also supply you with many herb seeds toadflax and up. I think I have like 500 toadflax seeds and lesser amounts up the ladder until I have 45 tortsol seeds. I don't think Ill ever plant them all unless I quit slayer and start farming. In my opinion nechs are more annoying to mellee with their higher max hit and annoying demons. THey arent better, they are right up there with them vut not equal and definitely not better.

off topic, do you think I could apply to DI? Im just an avg 123:-( ON topic 126 is just a number as prayer really doesnt garner you any advantage in the wilderness. Not taking anyhtign away form your accomplishment but the only difference between you and I is that you trained up prayer. Im jealous, but we'd be evenly matched in the wild.

Did you not read the part where I state that im 126 .. Meaning I already have 99 hp ... Why would I hate anyone for it ? This post is simply saying that there will be too many "maxed" out players by the end of the year and being maxed out is losing its sense of accomplishment. Im not asking them to slow down training, just increasing the level cap would be enough. The time taken to acheive 99 hp isnt that much. Its extremely easy to get it with all these new items. And they didnt really reward the better players seeing as all these new items can be worn at a fairly low level .. They basically rewarded everyone with p2p lol. My mistake. Still who cares? When you reach the max at something others will eventually catch you. Some day they may raise the maxes. I hope they dont as that would cause people to further no life to reach the next few insane levels. Eventually there will be clans that have 120 min players and you will see some truly epic battles. Im happy to be just another lvl 123 player. I play the game for my own enjoyment, not to be seen asa god and be worshpipped becasue I devoted more time to the game than others. i would love to be in your position, able to just play the game, not chasing any number any more. Do new quests and kill people. That would be the life. Not slave away chasing insane numbers:-(

RS is a game of discovery, without forums its unlikely you would learn the most efficient ways of trainign on your own. The effort to get to the point is great. And the thought to train a skill to its higher levels is daunting. Thats why they rewarded us better players with better gear to help us train more efficiently. It is still alot of time to invest to get 99 HP, but theres no reason to hate us for it. If trainign is so easy go get your own 99 hp.

very interesting...bring tp runes if you need to escape, stafe, druid pouchm sickle, sharks , and weapons. Since it is multi, ancinet magics might help you alot on the harder parts. I just saved the old man, had to kill shades and finat snails. Got 80 noted raw lobbies as a reward...grr.. I wanted slayer book 4k...oh well

The fact remains, to be a high level player in this game you need to play for an extremely long time. Be that many hours over a short period of time or a few hours over a long period of time. Many of you speaking negatively about him and his situation are probally a bit jealous that you don't have the situation or ability to play as much as you would like. That he's allowed to play and isn't held accountable to himself to survive because he has his family as a safety net is troubling and a bad example to emulate for the average person. But thats his situation and he makes with it what he wants to. If there is a problem it is not N0va's or his parents; It is with the nature of all MMORPGs. All video games are attractive and addicting. Standard games you eventually beat and move on with your real life. MMORPGS never end. Games that have a cap of a level that can be achieved will attract addictive and ambitious personalities who look to attain that number no matter how hard it is to achieve. Runescape set that number very high. So high that it would take an average person much longer to reach it than has been set in other games. This was probally built in to the game by jagex to retain its paying members. It has been overly successfull on the business end of things but has also come to those who have become addicted to the game a detriment to their personal lives and health. I too am in a situation where I am able to play a bit more than the casual players that are detracting from N0va's accomplishments here. I like to think I balance it a bit better than he let on in his interview though. I make sure I work out 3 times a week. I buy things cheaply at estate sales and auctions (Comic books, clothes, old toys, militaria, antiques) then list at least 200$ profit worth of items online each week. I spend time with my loving wife who is the breadwinner of our marriage who understands that I have a goal in this game (99 slayer) and will take a signifigant step back from it once I reach it. Thats what works fr me. So N0va I caution you not to get caught up in hitting a #1 ranking. Destroy a new skill if it is ever introduced, do new quests , socialize with your clanmates and friends. But if you aim to dethrone or maintain a number #1 ranking your life will become an abyss of catching the numerous and growing amount of addicts to perfection. I am currently better than you at the one skill you have yet to beat :evil: . After you do it, you essentially beat the game. Take a step back, relish in your achievment and make an impact in the real world with what you have been so graciously given. Runescape will always be here for you in your free time. If you let it encompass your entire existance as you alluded you may in your interview you will one day be forced through nescessity to quit it altogether. Nothing can ever take away what you have accomplished. Congratulations on beating a game that seemed impossible to ever beat the first time you logged on. Take my post as advice or as an opinion but don't interpret it as criticism which many of the lower leveled jealous players are showing through their comments. You do what you are comfortable doing. :-). It hs been nice getting to know you over the past few months. You even got your last hit to get all 99s on me. This is a great thing you are doing for the community and I'm glad you had a private drop for your good friends. Enjoy your time away from the game. If you decide to come back, just do it a bit more casually, a few hours on a weekend to do a quest, or just do something monatanous when you talk to your friends. You've had a good run. Dust devils are best overall. Fire giants a good medium, but too many noobs in the waterfall. Bloodvelds best xp if you dont care about drops. I know! Im a 99 Ranger.

I'm 89 slayer now, I never have gotten an assignment from a master, finished it, went back to the same master right away and gotten the same assignment again. not once. What icepak said :twisted: . I got all the pics taken I'll try post and finish this guide to my liking by next friday. I appreciate all the feedback and praise I have received from many of you. I guess I did it to kind of justify me spending a good 8 months of my life playing this game when I really should have done more productive things:-P. My loss of real life is your gain. Ya I noob'd out whips were 20 million each when i got 85 slayer excuse me for wanting to get there as fast as possible LoL. Its no longer cost effective to do that. If I had a time machine and no Real life committments back then I would have spent my first year doing quests then make cannon balls. When Slayer came out I would have used the edgville master exclusively all the way to 85 cannoning everything and then sell my first 20 whips, which dropped alot more frequently back then, for 30 Mill each. As it is now to use the edgville master and cannon to 85 is throwng money away because you will get no real return on all the money you spent on balls. Plus with the edgeville masters low assignment numbers and frequent assignment of crocodiles you aill be annoyed half the time and getting new tasks much too frequently. The time to power slayer through edgeville has come and gone. Am I saying my methods are the best? I believe tey are but you are free to have your own opinion. :twisted:

Sorry, but I gotta take issue with that. You talk as though you're some valiant war hero or a champion for human rights. You didn't inspire anybody to do the quest...bribed would be much more fitting. I am a war hero. Beyond that I would have done the drop party if not shyed off it by Jagex new statement on drop parties outside of party petes. Many high level people understand and concur with my reasonings and I wil work hard to create a reasonably exciting event to be determined. So you did a hard quest that will likely unlock alot more of the Game to you. Please tell me that Im a jerk for doing so? Most the people that would be able to attend my initial event likely could afford all the things I was dropping. My intent was to have only the elite and hard workign of runescape in attendance. That aim has now been defeated and my logic forces me to put it in different location that can't put any attendee in harms way. The result is noob party! My aim was pure, it was derailed. Bribery is never an objective of mine. I instead like to party hard and help people out. If that isn't somethign to be appreciated in this community I fear I am in the wrong one. I caution you to save your sarcasm when you are ill informed. Post like these are why I asked this topic be locked. :evil:

This is the best way to rc in my opinion. If you get tbes you can escape throug the abyss hopefully... if thancient you just tp away. No big problem. Plus if you wield a rune axe you can cut both the yews down real quick. Thats my method anyway:-)

Does this mean you are still holding a non-drop party same time same place? I hope so :D No not at all. Im not hosting anything that would require anyone to have to go in the wilderness and potentially get killed. I will be hosting my level up at elvrags lair. There won't be a drop party. But I may host a fancy dress party or odd event in lieu of a drop party. Time is to be determines. I have run out of runes and will be Rcing for awhile to get some ammo. My advice to all of you is forget about me for now. I will post a new thread when I get within 300k of level. I will also update my slayer guide to completion within the next 2 weeks. Thanks for all of you who understand. I won't say anything bad about jagex as it is their game that we all love to play. But I am sad that just having fun can be consisidered a scam or a crime.
