You can see if a friend updated their status by Forum.Tip.It > Your control panel > Settings > Notification Options and in the Status Updates section you can change Notify me of replies to my status updates Notify me of replies to status updates I have replied to Notify me when one of my friends updates their status from nothing to Inline Notification. It wouldn't be exactly what you wanted to, but atm it's as close as we have (I think)

Facebook was down due to technical reasons and not because of 4chan http://techcrunch.com/2010/09/23/facebook-downtime/ Facebook has generally had a good track record in terms of keeping its homepage alive, but Ive heard repeated complaints about the integrity of its API. And given Facebooks goal of becoming the social fabric of the web which entails maintaining a presence on countless third party sites its imperative that it keeps its various widgets and authentication buttons working properly.

Suggest it to the admins of the DDoS campaign (not really, the world go break down without Facebook at this point)

I just read two articles that just said 4chan has DDoSed at least two Anti-Piracy and is planning on DDoSing at least one more site. [hide=First article] While its claimed that AiPlex was taken down by a single attacker, the ongoing assault on the MPAA.org website is definitely a group effort. The site was attacked on schedule (9pm eastern time yesterday) and taken down in minutes. It remains down at the time of writing. Update: After 18 hours the MPAA moved its site to a new IP-address, which means its up again. More news coming up tomorrow. Well not really, since time isn't linear and everything has already happened then (1) if you did go on a killing spree (without knowing about all this), then it would be in fact meant to of happened so you wouldn't have hurried anything along. (2) if you did know about all of this (as in your purpose etc and you weren't meant to know) and somehow got those memories as a human (however unlikely it would be) and you then went on a killing spree or whatever, then I think that might nit just hurry things up but also damage things that mightn't be fixable. (I know this thread is about a month old, but I had to look it up for a friend and thought about it for a bit again)

I don't know really what to do. I am in second year in college. I am staying in a student accommodation. You can imagine the amount of the house parties and all that goes on here then. The problem is the house parties and my flat mates asking me to go out to one. Last year I did go out to a few house parties and clubs in the first few weeks of first year, but I never really felt normal there, like I was a dryarse or something. I don't drink (or smoke) and I wouldn't be the most sociable person. I know house parties and going out in general is a good way to meet people (and girls). In one sense I do want to go out to the house parties and socialise, but at the same time I don't because since I don't drink I would feel a bit weird (and I don't really want to start drinking). After house parties, people generally go out to one of the clubs near by, again I want to go out to them, but I again feel weird in clubs. When I try to dance it feels like I am making a bit of a fool out of myself but generally as the night wears on, I would start to dance more and more and start to kind of care less and less about what other people think. But that would be near the end of the night. I don't know what to do. Anyone got any ideas?

Seems like season two will be airing from the 28th of September! I can't wait. I kinda hope it's a bit better than the last series.
