  1. Sorry Link. I'm kind of embarrassed, although not really surprised, for some people's actions on this thread, since I was the one who suggested you join TIF. Don't let them get to you. Once you've been around for a little while, and you show them you aren't intimidated, they'll leave you alone, or better yet, treat you with respect. Never respond with big bolded caps; Trolls find those to be especially delicious. I would suggest that you change your title, since Dark Beasts dropping Clue Scrolls is only a small part of the subject. Directed towards the Trolls at the beginning: This is the SUGGESTIONS Forum! If you fear change, maybe you shouldn't be anywhere near here! Go hide in your bomb shelters and scowl at Obama! Dark Beasts require level 90 Slayer, and the facts are clear: Level 85 or even 83 Slayer or a level even lower than that is MUCH more profitable. FACT! 90 Slayer happens to take longer than a lower level to get. FACT! Dark Beasts take more effort to kill. FACT! Dark Beasts do not have as good of or as consistent of drops. FACT! Dark Beasts do not drop Clue Scrolls, but most other Slayer monsters do. FACT! Some people enjoy Clue Scrolls as a nice bonus of a drop that has the chance of being insanely profitable. FACT! Not everyone is as lucky as Compfreak! Not everyone gets an Abyssal Whip every ten minutes! Who is it going to hurt if people who spent the time and effort to get a higher Slayer level get a higher reward as well? You [people who aren't high enough to kill them]? Are you going to be hurt because you can't join in in the merriment? You can't just say "Don't kill them then." That's why Link is here. To suggest changes that make Dark Beasts worth the extra effort. You can't just say "Other skills are just as bad at higher levels. No point in changing this one." Those are issues that need attention as well! The only one who could be excused is Compfreak. It is a cold, calculating machine expressly programmed for argument and debate (since there IS a difference, and in this case, it IS argument). It can't help the way it was programmed, but it could be silent and let others do their thing once in a while, or possibly even contribute in a positive way. Thanks Romy, for showing that not everyone here is a Troll or cold, calculating machine. The game needs balance, and to that end, if you're not part of the solution, or if you're not neutral, you're part of the problem.
  2. My Yellow Partyhat is in the G E (mid), but I'm not desperate to sell it. It was my biggest goal in my beginning days, and it's neat, but I'd like to use some of the high level equipment I haven't yet.
  3. You'd think that Void'ers would learn not to take their namesake to wide open areas so far from banks...
  4. If you try to dig at the dog's grave during one part in Meeting History you get some angry lines of text. Also during that quest, I'm sure a lot of people will remember a certain elf popping up at the very edge of the area. (Neither are on Wiki!)
  5. Brews and Super Restores as an example.
  6. Exactly what I was thinking, even if I can't actually do this. Rune mining is like what, 800k an hour? That's definitely the fastest way.
  7. i think i can answer that. it's the confusion room from the quest "A soul's bane". i recommend u do it, good xp reward. Just generally a fun quest too. Are you underneath the Digsite?
  8. What's better Vs. Rock Lobsters? My accomplice said that Ice Burst is better because it's cheaper and does only 8 damage less, and that higher level spells are easier to fail. I tried to argue that since Ice Barrage is higher level, it must also be more accurate, and that since it does more damage, it justifies higher costs. We were also arguing about what the total cost of 99 Summoning was, if you mostly use either Bursts or Barrages. I know that I've heard as much as 250m, but that does seen a little high. However, I KNOW that it's more than 30m, which is what he was saying.
  9. What? He tab'ed? Too mad you don't have a miniature army of special energy, or you could've taken out that Void too.
  10. Oh, no, I never meant to join Lucien. I meant for what god we follow. This could potentially change who we go to for help or what equipment we use and maybe even what rewards we get. I don't like Guthix or being forced to follow Guthixian ways or being labled Guthixian. Lucien, Zemouregal, and Jhallen, from my personal stash of pictures. I don't have chat heads of anything out pre-HD. I won't check right now but General Khazard probably still has a plain skull for a head - no fangs or gems or glowing eyes. [hide=...] SATAN![/hide]
  11. Don't forget Ghost Rider. I think you're forgetting that during the quest, Jhallan basically said that the Mahjarrats must fight eachother to survive. Looking at it from this way, they might not be entirely opposed to enemy forces killing their fellows for them. It sounds a bit like Highlander... Also, during the quest, Jhallan implies that Mahjarrat aren't skeletal at full power. As for Hazelmere and his prophecies, I'm quite unliking that they're not really giving us a choice about which side we support. For such big, ground-breaking quests, we shouldn't be so limited.... Maybe somewhere in all this the Shadow Sword will be upgraded to a respectable weapon... Or maybe the Blood, or Ice Sword. If we have to one day fight the Dragonkin, or even a fully-powered Mahjarrat, I hope it's a huge team quest. [hide=Looky!][/hide]
  12. Balthazar Beauregard's Big Top Bonanza.
  13. I dunno who that is, but pretty badass nonetheless. 8/10.
  14. [hide=] Pre-HD, and pre-discovery of .png! Bonus points if you know what monster that is and how many Hitpoints it has.[/hide]
  15. 10 - 2.5 (BGS) - 2.5 (AGS) - 2.5 (SGS) + 2.5 (ZGS)=... 5/10!
  16. [hide=77][/hide] [hide=78]No such thing.[/hide] [hide=79][/hide] That leaves Mining, and maybe Herblore. But not RuneCraft. I hate that so much...
  17. They are 300-500M it's not too clear right now but they are not going to be rare for very long. Divine's are still pretty rare and kept their street price over 800M. Either way merchants are running out of high street price items and they are shifting back to rares. Didn't people always consider Elysian to be superior to Divine? Although apparently these shifts in comparable value have nothing to do with actual worth...
  18. If they're selling at max, that means that people are buying at max, which means that there's a demand for them... How does that constitute a crash? As for 3rd Age, I'll wait till Vambs get back to 5m or so. They're actually rather unique looking. I like the look of full Dragon more than 3A melee though...
  19. Not completely random as you'd still probably be killing hundreds of that monster before an avatar showed up, and even then the avatars wouldn't have the scroll as a 100% drop. It was just an idea though. Perhaps you could expand upon your miniquest idea?
  20. 7/10 They didn't see K smiling smugly as L died?
  21. Nice guide! I personally killed Imps near the Tower of Life; it's so much more bright and happy there. When I got bored of killing Skeletons at the Temple of Ikov I went to the Chaos Tunnels and used Red Chinchompas. A total waste, but it was pretty amusing. The Goblins, however... The most efficient and amusing way to kill them was standing on the open end of the spitroast at the Goblin Hut. Goblins get stuck on the corners and you can throw knives over it, so you can monopolize the entire spot thanks to the knives' great speed. You can even attack another Goblin when one is right next to you about to attack you. Since it's a safespot, you can immediately attack another, making for quicker kills most of the time.
  22. I actually like the idea of having to kill the other races like before, but when we're on this 'second tier', we should get automated kill counts. Also, as you make progress, perhaps scrolls should become a little less rare on the 'second tier'. That's really up to discussion... Regardless, if you have to kill thousands upon thousands of additional 'second tier' race members, it would help to support any seemingly overpowered aspects of the rewards introduced, making them actually worthwhile and less likely to be nerfed. Players who have gotten at least one scroll could have a new option for "spontaneous challenges". What this would mean is that if you have the option enabled you could randomly, (but rarely, and shut up Compfreak) be attacked by an avatar of the champion, who has a greatly increased chance of dropping the scroll to fight the actual champion. The avatar wouldn't have any rules attached but would be nearly as strong as the champions to warrant it being able to drop the scroll more commonly.
  23. One of my favorite games ever. And the only one I've ever played that has made me jump more than once. G.F. F.E.A.R. . I'm hoping the upcoming Wii version is anywhere near as good, since the Wii's graphics are crap... I am now looking forward to the Dead Space Extraction that is coming to the Wii. I may not like it as it is a guided first person shooter (on rails), but I will most likely give it a try when it comes out. And grr, just played some more dead space. I was going down a hallway, I saw a body on the ground, and I shot it once. Suddenly the whole necromorph jumps up and charges me. I wasn't expecting it and I jumped bad and almost died trying to hit it before it got to me. I didn't realize it was on rails. So a House of the Dead kind of deal? Good thing I bought new lightguns for the Wii. And Dead Space became an instant classic [in my book] when they replaced jumping with stomping.
  24. Right you are, barrows sucks for money. Only because we're spoiled with GWD, TD, CB, Aviantese now. Don't bring RC into the argument.
