[PROTOTYPE] - Official Topic
I'll definitely be renting it. And I also hope that it's online enabled, but not necessarily player Vs. player. Oh, and thanks to that person who mentioned MAG. I'd never heard of it but that's something else to look forward to.

Scariest game scenes?
The first F.E.A.R. only made me jump once. But it was funny. And memorable... It's not the very beginning, but not too far in either, that you're in a vent, and you have a hallucination of something crawling along the ground. What was funny about it was that my friend was watching me play and we had the lights off and surround sound and right when I saw it my flashlight ran out and I paused the game. My friend always tries to claim that I turned it off purposely. It's a running in-joke now.

3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion
heh  Yup. Logged in today to see that my Yellow had sold at MID overnight. It was nice. I fulfilled a RS-life-long dream, and made about 20m in the process. Now to actually buy something useful...

Musings of a long-forgotten minigame
All-though i quite like your ideas, the example you gave would be a bit too similar to an armadyl plateskirt. Wow. Honestly I thought someone would bring up an issue about their stats before the aesthetics. The Armadyl Plateskirt has rather large gaps and the leg armor is not connected to the skirt. What I was describing would be full connection, with no gaps. In fact, the Dragon Plateskirt would overlap the Dragon Platelegs.

Dust devils or other?
Both quests are entirely worth it - Haunted Mine/Defender of Varrock. When you get a Salve Amulet you can quite easily get it enchanted. Simply buy a Slayer Ring for 75 points (after Smoking Kills) and teleport to Tarn's Lair and you'll be right outside the boss room, without the hassle of going through the maze.

More easily hit while not attacking
What attack style are you using during this? Agressive I think, whichever trains str. Then that doesn't really support what we were saying before about attack styles, although I'm willing to believe that both attack styles and unresponsiveness can affect the chances of you being hit. For those saying that it doesn't happen when you eat during PvP: remember that the 10 second rule does not just apply to safezones or logging out.

Ourg Bones? Are you KIDDING?
I just looked in the G E and saw that these new Ourg Bones have a different picture. Are we sure that they give the exact same amount of XP?

hmm, money, or 99?
Surely by 99 Runecraft you'd be able to accomplish both: a respectable NON-buy-able 99 and a respectable buy-able combat: Prayer!

PC set or Fighers Torso
Full Void would be more impressive to have at your level, even though that's really not the issue. Full Void is more useful in situations that don't require a lot of Defense, so if you're on about Yaks or Rock Crabs or something of the like, that's what I'd recommend.

Suggestion about accumulator
Oh. I was expecting to see a well thought out suggestion about the next one in the series (red, then black or Barrows...). You only have to visit Ava ever so often; I think you can deal with chatting with her for a few... ... Or another right-click option. Always about the right-click options...

YOU vs. Mediocrity
It's kinda funny actually. I used to use Joe's equipment with some differences based on the time [hide=Equipment]Dragon Med Helm, Platelegs, Sq Shield, Rock-shell Platebody, Rune Boots, Chaos Gauntlets, Amulet of Glory, Dragon Longsword, and when Tzhaar was released, Toktz-Ket-Xil, Obsidian Cape a bit later, and an Amulet of Fury[/hide] when it wasn't 'nooby'. I also got a Granite Body myself on day of release. I'm very different from Joe in other respects though... I always pay attention for updates and glean as much info from the official sources (KB now, before, RSOF/newsposts) before going and trying to figure out the rest. I did most of the quests before HD was released, which I regret, but I was also pretty proud of the Quest Cape and generally impressed with the storylines. It's always so grand to see new mechanics used in RS quests, too. You can see so much improvement depending on how long you've played. I train or have trained all skills before; if my level is lower in a certain few, it's not because I don't know how to train that skill, but rather that I don't enjoy it or have a use for it. I've killed a Green Dragon before. Elvarg. I don't believe I've ever grinded combat, except a bit through Slayer. But then that isn't grinding, since you change targets and locations so often. I have no aspirations for any of the common capes and see no point in getting them either. My only 99 is Hitpoints, which I got fully naturally. My combat stats are very balanced too, and have never been more than 3 levels apart. As others here have said, most Joes will wear Dragon Plateskirts instead of Platelegs and Combat Braces instead of Dragon Gauntlets. I have never been a Joe, as Joes began appearing much later in my RS experience, and I wised up as soon as I got members (at level 35 combat).

farming record?
Just looking up and down this thread it appears to be either 20 or 22. I can't say that I have a lot of personal experience in Farming but a "max harvest" chart would be a nice addition to the current guide here on Tip. I'm interested out of pure curiosity about Torstol in particular, since it's the highest level herb that can be planted. Does your Farming level actually affect your max total number of produce, or just increase the chance of getting a greater number?

Being a High Level-Really That Great?
Your skills are still too low to feel it. You're a decent level, but you still have so many things to shoot for. When you start running out of goals, that's when it gets depressing. His stats are actually quite good in my opinion... Not everyone's main goals are 99s, 90s, or even 80s. You don't have to be maxed out to feel like you have nothing left to do. I'll often get on and then get back off because I simply don't feel like training boring skills (you can tell that I hate RC, Thieving, and Herblore most of all; they are my lowest stats).

Price Manipulation
Essentially the Grand Exchange was made to be an easy, convenient way of buying items that you wanted or needed. If, due to people intentionally buying out items to raise the price, the ease and convenience of the Grand Exchange are removed, then it is not serving its original objective. Regardless of whether or not it affects you two personally, some people simply do not have the time to wait until the prices 're-stabilize', and their personal gaming experience is decreased because of this tampering.

RuneScape Economics Survey
Wow. It's not the survey's fault, of course, but it was frustrating to try to figure out how long I've been playing, since I knew that I started right after RuneCraft was released, but no one seemed to have the exact date for its release. I ended up looking at the date that RHQ created the Rune Mysteries quest guide. More than 60 months of on and off playtime... Amazing... I completed the survey though...

Price Manipulation
What's the difference? Simply the volume of people doing it to one item?

Being a High Level-Really That Great?
Couldn't have said it better myself. Same. I often feel as though I know 'everything' about RuneScape, and that there's really nothing left to explore. I also sometimes get self-conscious about training, thinking that there must be a faster/more efficient way to do what I'm doing. I wouldn't want to be a lower level again unless it was an entirely new world at the same time...

Musings of a long-forgotten minigame
I posted this in Erichermit's thread before, as another possible set of rewards. I'll admit, a few are probably overpowered while a few others seem essential, or at least hard to be argued as too powerful. Please read them carefully, as I put a lot of thought into them. It is also possible that these rewards could be combined with the OP's, since these are mostly for individual champions and not overall. [hide=+][/hide] 10k XP reward lamp for every fight as well as... [hide=Gnome]Ability: Greatly increased Gnome Restaurant rewards, including new rewards that are tradable but only obtainable through the minigame after you've defeated this champion. Item: Dark blue light red trimmed (Agility Cape colors) add-on pieces for the Spottier Cape, Penance Gloves, and Boots of Lightness, as well as a new torso and legs that have the same weight reduction.[/hide] [hide=Tzhaar]Ability: If you have reached Tz-Tok Jad in the Fight Caves minigame, you may skip directly to him once every day. Also, if you have defeated him at least once, you may buy Fire Capes for 16k TokKul each. Item: The double-bladed obsidian ax, of course! Since this would surely be the most difficult champion to defeat, the stats of the weapon should make it the "Godsword of battleaxes". For the special attack, if it has one, you throw the ax, and it continually hits the target until the target returns a melee attack. Your special attack energy lowers by 1 square for every attack. It should never be lost in the process.[/hide] [hide=Werewolf]Ability: You can wear 1 'ability' ring (Ring of Wealth, Ring of Life) and 1 stat ring (Berserker Ring, Beacon Ring) at the same time. You can also wear a pair of gloves with a pair of bracelets (so yes, requiring two bracelets of the same kind) for 1 of the bracelets' effects and stats plus the effects and stats of the pair of gloves. Gloves would show up in the normal slot, and when you had two of the same type of bracelet, you could click on one and they'd both automatically equip and show as 'stacked' in the inverted slot. Also, if you just wanted to wear two bracelets, you would equip those without equipping gloves. The same goes for the rings - the combat one goes in the normal slot, and the ability one goes in the inverted slot. The inverted button I added would be for toggling this ability on and off, so that you could wear bracelets and ability rings normally. The button would only appear when you were able to use this ability. As for worn appearance, I'd think it to be simple just to have them overlap on both arms over the gloves. Regen Braces + Barrows Gloves: Attack:+20, +20, +20, +9, +19 Defence:+18, +18, +18, +9, +18 Strength:+19 Plus the x2 healing ability of the bracelets. Item: I like the idea of a Ranged/Magic Slayer mask, but I'd rather it just be an addition to the current Slayer Helmet. Red glowing eyes... Make the Helmet look like something out of Killzone 2. Awesome.[/hide] [hide=Elf]Ability: You can purchase Crystal equipment that does not degrade for 2x the 'new' price. There should be slight differences in appearance. Also, you can have Ilfeen enchant the Crystal Saw and Crystal Chimes to be able to change on the spot, as well as making the Crystal Saw last an infinite number of uses. Item: A Crystal dagger nearly identical stat-wise to the SC ones with added slash bonus. The speed is 7. The special attack consumes a full bar and restores Prayer.[/hide] [hide=Dwarf]Ability: You can buy Granite Boots! You can combine (or have combined by an NPC) Plateleg and skirt armors for bonuses equal to 1.5 x one of the original. You must first have a special untradable connection piece dropped only by certain monsters. Dragon Skirtlegs: Defense: +102, +99, +95, -6, +98 Weight: 18Kg Item: A wieldable Blast Fusion Hammer, the "Godsword of warhammers". The special attack does +15%, and can hit higher depending on the opponent's weight.[/hide] [hide=All]Ability: New emote(s), certain special armors can be trimmed (untradable Dragon (G) for example, probably by the same NPC that combines leg armors), you can change to the Champions crest (POH). Item: A Champion's Badge that can be attached to the Quest Point Cape for +4 Prayer, a 50k XP reward lamp.[/hide]

More easily hit while not attacking
I too have noticed it, and what you say about attack styles may be the reason. It goes like this: Attack (+3 to Attack) Strength (+3 to Strength) Defense (+3 to Defense) Controlled (+1 to Attack, Strength, and Defense) That's why I've always wondered if it'd be better to run through aggressive monsters with the Defense option selected.

Great orb project.
Instead of a ranking system, maybe they should just give you your own little elitist world. Or just force you to always be on a team by yourself. No stupid people trying to help you then. Maybe JaGEx should even invest some of their millions into cloning, just for you. People are stupid because they try to help... No. People new to the minigame are inexperienced. They will get the hang of what direction the orbs move and where, when to use repel instead of attract, where to stand, everything, with time. Just like any other aspect of the game. GOP isn't BA; there isn't a hyped up 'super useful' reward like the Fighter Torso that will bring in tons of people who really could care less about the actual minigame. The people at GOP actually want to be there. I do however agree that if the other team quits after a round has been finished, you should be given tokens based on how many rounds you've completed. Also, if the majority of your team quits but you have won some rounds you should have the option of aborting and still getting points for the rounds you've won.
