  1. Easy fix. Gloves would show up in the normal slot, and when you had two of the same type of bracelet, you could click on one and they'd both automatically equip and show as 'stacked' in the inverted slot. Also, if you just wanted to wear two bracelets, you would equip those without equipping gloves. The same goes for the rings - the combat one goes in the normal slot, and the ability one goes in the inverted slot. The inverted button I added would be for toggling this ability on and off, so that you could wear bracelets and ability rings normally. The button would only appear when you were able to use this ability. As for worn appearance, I'd think it to be simple just to have them overlap on both arms over the gloves. You didn't answer before - Do you think we could challenge these higher champions directly, or would we need to kill for their scrolls?
  2. [hide=+][/hide] 10k XP reward lamp for every fight as well as... [hide=Gnome]Ability: Greatly increased Gnome Restaurant rewards, including new rewards that are tradable but only obtainable through the minigame after you've defeated this champion. Item: Dark blue light red trimmed (Agility Cape colors) add-on pieces for the Spottier Cape, Penance Gloves, and Boots of Lightness, as well as a new torso and legs that have the same weight reduction.[/hide] [hide=Tzhaar]Ability: If you have reached Tz-Tok Jad in the Fight Caves minigame, you may skip directly to him once every day. Also, if you have defeated him at least once, you may buy Fire Capes for 16k TokKul each. Item: The double-bladed obsidian ax, of course! Since this would surely be the most difficult champion to defeat, the stats of the weapon should make it the "Godsword of battleaxes". For the special attack, if it has one, you throw the ax, and it continually hits the target until the target returns a melee attack. Your special attack energy lowers by 1 square for every attack. It should never be lost in the process.[/hide] [hide=Werewolf]Ability: You can wear 1 'ability' ring (Ring of Wealth, Ring of Life) and 1 stat ring (Berserker Ring, Beacon Ring) at the same time. You can also wear a pair of gloves with a pair of bracelets (so yes, requiring two bracelets of the same kind) for 1 of the bracelets' effects and stats plus the effects and stats of the pair of gloves. Gloves would show up in the normal slot, and when you had two of the same type of bracelet, you could click on one and they'd both automatically equip and show as 'stacked' in the inverted slot. Also, if you just wanted to wear two bracelets, you would equip those without equipping gloves. Regen Braces + Barrows Gloves: Attack:+20, +20, +20, +9, +19 Defence:+18, +18, +18, +9, +18 Strength:+19 Plus the x2 healing ability of the bracelets. Item: I like the idea of a Ranged/Magic Slayer mask, but I'd rather it just be an addition to the current Slayer Helmet. Red glowing eyes... Make the Helmet look like something out of Killzone 2. Awesome.[/hide] [hide=Elf]Ability: You can purchase Crystal equipment that does not degrade for 2x the 'new' price. There should be slight differences in appearance. Also, you can have Ilfeen enchant the Crystal Saw and Crystal Chimes to be able to change on the spot, as well as making the Crystal Saw last an infinite number of uses. Item: A Crystal dagger nearly identical stat-wise to the SC ones with added slash bonus. The speed is 7. The special attack consumes a full bar and restores Prayer.[/hide] [hide=Dwarf]Ability: You can buy Granite Boots! You can combine (or have combined by an NPC) Plateleg and skirt armors for bonuses equal to 1.5 x one of the original. You must first have a special untradable connection piece dropped only by certain monsters. Dragon Skirtlegs: Defense: +102, +99, +95, -6, +98 Weight: 18Kg Item: A wieldable Blast Fusion Hammer, the "Godsword of warhammers". The special attack does +15%, and can hit higher depending on the opponent's weight.[/hide] [hide=All]Ability: New emote(s), certain special armors can be trimmed (untradable Dragon (G) for example, probably by the same NPC that combines leg armors), you can change to the Champions crest (POH). Item: A Champion's Badge that can be attached to the Quest Point Cape for +4 Prayer, a 50k XP reward lamp.[/hide]
  3. 5/10 to Goonstalf; I've already rated Daniel's. New avatar. I think I got the proportions right...
  4. I like the entire idea so far. I'd just like to add a few things... Use the furniture item pictures from the KB, link them up with materials and material prices, so that you can truly figure out how much your house is going to cost, and exactly what supplies you'll need. Obviously special items (anything non-trade-able) would still be listed but wouldn't have a real value.
  5. That's a foe from Desert Treasure, and entirely unrelated. The ones in Draynor are harmless and verily useless...
  6. Played Postal 2 a lot this weekend... Old but entertaining!

Yeah, I figured that out when I picked some of the stuff back up and was still overencumbered before picking it all back up. I was still kind of bored, though. The game just seems to progress so slowly...
  8. but the kite is the sexiest part na i never really liked the look of it althoguh ill probly miss it when I sell it but im scared kite will crash 'cause of the spectrals and those other new shields are coming down to its price range.. plate and legs will be most saught after armour ALWAYS im pretty sure :P 3rd Age Platebody/Platelegs + White Partyhat? Complete your set if you can! On an unrelated note (but still on topic, I think...) what do you think happens if a single item rises so much that its trade price reaches the max amount of cash?
  9. This is what I did  A red and a yellow have been sitting in my bank for about a month and I haven't really played RS at all. I've been keeping up with the community still and watching for some great updates...and it is an absolute thrill to see my two little "long term" investments start to show some promise already. Every day when I wake up and see that they have risen AGAIN....the feeling is indescribable. I am an old old school RS player...and I am absolutely delighted that I managed to nab two pieces of RS history while the prices were so low. I am aware that there is the possibility that they will start to fall again, or that this is all part of a manipulation scheme, but either way it is worth knowing that I was able to attain these two hats before the inevitable rise in price would make them unattainable to me. I only wish I could have afforded more of them :( Whatever happens, I am in it for the long haul, and will never be parting with my beloved antiques of RS history. I am sure nobody is going to read my post and think much of it...but it truly does make me feel warm and fuzzy inside to know that I secured ownership of TWO hats that will someday be the most elusive item in the game. I read the whole thing and agree with you completely. I have nothing else to add; you described it perfectly.  Take THAT 3rkid (who made fun of me for buying a Yellow at 74ish a few weeks ago, right before the rise)!

I played for an hour and a half, got overencumbered after looting all the corpses I could find... Killed the Overseer. Amanda didn't like that, so I killed her. Over, and over again... I made it to the outside world before deciding I didn't want to limp around anymore and dropping all the stuff I picked up...
  11. The Alpha and Omega!
  12. How did you know you were supposed to get it to Oogloog? How did you find that in the first place??
  13. Blutters replied to Necromagus's topic in Off-Topic
Heh, sorry. Guess I just found it kinda wierd that someone would think it's a first person shooter like Halo. And the Bioshock comparison seemed strange too, guess I never thought those two were alike. Anyways, luck is a pretty bad skill to put too many points into. Maybe one, but strength and agility I've found to be the most important. Actually, it sounds pretty ironic. Luck is a skill... I'll really get into the game when I have a few hours of uninterrupted free time, probably this weekend.

... What? Have you even played Bioshock? Not to mention you clearly don't realize this is an RPG. The part when ou had to enter your S.P.E.C.I.A.L.s is when you should've realized that it's an F/TPSRPG. And putting most of your S.P.E.C.I.A.L.s on 5 and putting luck on 10? Crits won't get you everywhere... I own and have played Bioshock on both the PC and PS3 and whenever you get a mini-tutorial in Bioshock it has cartoon characters that are strikingly similar in style to the ones I have seen so far in Fallout 3. Adding to this the grimy textures, less than modern style haircuts, theme music, it bears a few resemblances to Bioshock's theme. I went up to the door before I looked at the "Special Book". The general controls seem like an FPS, and I've never played an RPG before besides RS, if RS can even be considered one. You all seem to be taking offense. I'm trying the game, I haven't done much in it yet. And if there do happen to be skills that you must train repetitively like in RS, I don't see myself playing the game further than that, unless there are cheats to get past these possibly boring repetitive sections. Preemptive: Don't tell me to go play the game more before I comment here. It'll make you sound like an elitist. Riku: Max luck seemed like a good idea at the time. Actually, all of them sounded like a good idea, but you can only pick one, E...

I installed it a few days ago and made my character and did the stats book thing... I left all of them at '5' except for Luck. I put that at '10'. I wish RS2 had had that sort of selection... Anyway, I already went near the door in the first little introductory level and it said "Level 100 Lockpick skill" or something... Skills do not belong in FPS games. Also... The little tutorials seem a lot like Bioshock...
  16. Yeah, because tipit is just crawling with Jmods eager to answer questions here. Currently the only point of going above 99 is for a good spot on the hiscores. If you really want to know what a j mod said about this, here goes. About two years ago the #1 fletcher who was at 200m exp made a rant on rsof wanting a higher xp limit. A J mod later responded saying the 200m limit would remain for a while and that they would only reconsider changing this if more players hit max. Today not many skills hit the 200m limit and those that did only have a few maxed players. So until we start seeing several hundred players with 200m in several skills, I doubt Jagex will feel the need to change the max. That's the max XP though, not the max level. I believe someone on this thread said earlier that it'd be level 126 at 200m XP. What would be the max hit then...?
  17. So from my understanding you could buy, say a godsword, purposely die, and have the killer pick up 90% of the mid price? For some reason, I doubt you haven't thought of that before, so I'm probably misunderstanding. But I don't see any mention of stopping RWT this way in your idea. If you did mention it, my mistake ignore this. I mean a period of time where you can't enter combat, which means you attacking someone or someone attacking you. If you use Protect Item while you are skulled, you are not losing anything normally, now, today. This means that you have a value of 0gp when dying. If my plan were in effect, the item you keep is converted into coins after you die. The item itself is essentially destroyed in the process.
  18. That's abuse? There are several ways and rules that could be added I can think of off the top of my head to make it not worthwhile. Rather than the full mid price, you could get minimum price, or even 90% (minimum price is 95% of the mid price). If you die with these items, say, 3 times in a 24 hour period, you cannot buy anymore in either a trade or the GE. I suppose that wouldn't stop people from hoarding Dragon Daggers but it would help protect more expensive items. That's actually called PJ'ing, and is definitely not limited to just one-itemers. To end PJ'ing, a 40-second delay could be applied in single-way combat zones for people just exiting combat. No, please do mention the RWT possibility, because I don't see how people who are one-iteming and retaining all the value of the one item that they're keeping via Protect Item (and therefore not risking 25k/75k upon death) creates a way to fix drops at all...
  19. One itemers kill one itemers. 10 DDS's is 10 deaths. Those wouldn't last as long as you think... I was more focused on swamped areas like Falador than the random one itemer that will run up to you in a remote location. This is different from hoarding these items and then just keeping them to sell later, how...? I suppose you could use the money you just got from destroying that item to buy another, but that's really just hurting yourself...
  20. When you are on a PvP world, are skulled, and die while having Protect Item activated, rather than retaining the item, you get the mid-GE price in coins for it. The item is removed from the game and one-itemers must go to the trouble of buying another weapon or having multiple weapons before they can operate again, thereby eliminating the 'convenience' of one-iteming. I figure it's also a good way to get rid of unsellable high-priced junk items. I don't see any problems, but that's why this is here. Please point out anything wrong with this system being added... To end PJ'ing, a 40-second delay could be applied in single-way combat zones for people just exiting combat. This means that you could not attack anyone else and no one could attack you until the delay ran out. The actual duration of the delay is up for discussion.
  21. Ah, I thought it was one of the portal symbols from Armies of Gielenor... 7/10 And before someone says that my avatar is bad quality, I like it that way. It looks like it's spray painted. I'm going to work on a new one soon though...
  22. Downloaded the just-released Titan add-on for UT3 for the PS3. Awesome.
