  1. Super heat mithril bars. It's about 55k mage xp an hour and depending on the current market you can easily get to 99 with 8m. Adamant bars will be cheaper but slow, as steel and iron bars will be faster but more expensive. The advantage superheating has over Alching is that you can buy more supplies trough the GE than you would be able to for alching. Super heating has a faster animation than alching but you have to bank frequently. They generally average out to about the same cost though. You'll gain smithing xp too if you care about that at all.
  2. At the mining guild just regular mining and banking I think the most you can get per hour is 300. so thats about 433 hours at that speed, or more realisticaly 520 hours at 250 coal per hour. 520 hours is about 21 days, so ya it will take 3 weeks if you never leave your computer, stop playing, or sleep. Asuming that you like most humans enjoy your sleep it will take you 130 days if you play for 3 hours a day. I think power mining iron is a better option though.
  3. Super heat mithril bars, it will only cost you about 600k to get to level 70 and you'll gain almost a million mage xp while doing so. 30k smithing and 50k mage xp an hour about. And there are no easy ways to make money with smithing.
  4. Drop plenty of iron arrows, and noted rune ess too.. They'll give more cash, xp, and supplies for lessers in the future.. So I'd go with them. Flesh crawlers have a high range defence and are not good for training. People only like they because they attack you and you don't have to do anything. Minotaurs and goblins are good until level 60 then hobgoblins will be good enough to get you to 70 then you should be able to kill lesser eficiently.
  5. Smithing plates, either iron or steel, and alching them is the fastest, but making mithril bars will be a lot cheaper and will give more mage xp.
  6. Your defence level does not protect you from magic so therefor bosting it will not help protect you from magic. Raising your magic level will protect you from magic attacks.
  7. I was a deticated pker too. I used to spend hours wandering the wilderness looking for fights or just other firendly people. True that back then I died more often than I killed, but i still had lots of fun, yes it is fun being chased out of level 40 wilderness by a hungry 80 person clan. I can still remeber the hits from my first ever player kill, 14, 14, and 16. That was the funnest part of runescape for me. Then the trade limit and wilderness updates came out, and the old wilderness pking was removed, I was furrious at jagex for it! Four days later I got over it and figured that it didn't matter and got on with my runescape life. You can still play both games in runescape. If it's the high risk lifestyle you seek then bounty hunter should be more than satisfactory for you. There is still many pvp games that give me the same excitement and fun that the old wilderness gave me. Yet skilling is still part of runescape and is fun for me too.
  8. 2k coal, 360k 1k iron ore, 99k 1k nats, 255k total, 714 steel sells for 622 each so you loose 100k every time you do that And there's no way you can smelt 1k bars an hour. I like alching best, buy green d hide bodies and adamant plates and alch them, usually about 10-20 gp loss per alch. So about 15gp/65xp. Edit: Just calced that if you super heat addy bars at mid price everything you lose 1 gp per bar.
  9. Mining is always my favorite money making method. Gold ore is quite good money but for the long term I recomend rune ore mining once you get your level up. Merchanting is quite profitable if your one of those economic geniuses and you have a good bit of money and patience.
  10. If you don't have it get full druidic, rune gauntlets, and air rcing gloves for your self. I believe rune gauntlets are the most money per token.
  11. If you log out your grave will always disapear. Repairing a grave will make it last up to 5 minutes. Blessing a grave will make it last the maximum amount of time which is one hour.
  12. Get your hunter up some and then hunt chins.
  13. It hasn't really gone down that much, it was 180-200 before the grand exchange came out, and a 10 gp drop in the past week is just normal market change. It's no were near as bad as mithril ore which has lost almost 2/3rds of it's value since the grand exchange came out.
  14. About how many chins would it take? From what I've heard killing bandits with rune knives and void is about 200k xp and hour and a little bit cheaper than chining. You also have the option of using adamant knives for a lot cheaper with not that much xp reduction.
  15. +1 Also switch to ice giants once you get to level 70.
  16. In terms of money and asuming that you mining and wood cutting levels are close to each other.: Yew cutting > coal mining Gold mining > yew cutting Mage cutting > gold mining Rune mining > mage cutting Adamant ore mining isn't worth it anymore, price droped too much.
  17. Being completely ftp is not an achievement in my opinion. Many people stay ftp because they think it makes their achievement better than those of members. They think it's something to be proud of. Other people stay ftp because they don't want to spoil their past ftp achievements by becoming a member. And there is a small portion of us that believe the free version of the game is truly better than the members one. At Bini's post: I am pure ftp and I don't understand why your proud of it. Thats like members saying that they're proud of their membership, it's just what you are and what game you play. You should not be proud or embarased either way.
  18. I think it's 32 personally because I was hit a 31 in the duel arena by someone with 97 strength and no rune gauntlets.
  19. It's not one of those achievements to "ooo" and "aww" at but it's a very big personal milestone. Congrats. 9/10.
  20. Flesh crawlers are horible training. They give just as much or less xp than lessers and cost more and are a lot more boring. I trained on lesser demons all the way to 99. They're my personal favorite but ankous and ice giants are also good options.
  21. This question is as old as runescape. You'll have to ask Jagex to find the true answer. In my opinion it would be atack though. I think it might depend alot on the defence of whatever you're fighting.
  22. when you use up the charges you can either sell them in the g.e. and buy charged ones or get a good freind to charge them for you.
  23. Should have been more specific then. If your a member the best method would be to use a necklace of skills to telport to directly to the crafting guild and then a ring of dueling to teleport to castle wars to bank. If you don't have the money for the necklaces or have not completed legends quest to recharge them, then next best, I think, would be to teleport to your house in rimmington Edit: The necklace he was refering to is the neckalce of skills which has 4 charges and can telport you directly to the crafting guild. It is dragonstone so I think it's about 40k? It needs to be recharged in the legends guild.
