If you want a DSLR, I'd recommend a Canon EOS 1000D. http://www.amazon.com/Canon-XS-Digital- ... 315&sr=8-1 However, it only comes with an 18-55mm lens, compared to littleboy's suggestion that comes with an 18-70mm and a 70-300mm. However, I have used the 1000D and can confirm it's quality (though the grip is a little small and feels nasty). The price is $500 new from there, for some reason it doesn't show the price without adding it to your basket.

Get to 1000
it's still 398, since two mods can't post after each other.

Canon EOS 500D - 'Test' Shots
Done a couple of Stereograms now, I'm getting the hang of it :) Note that Parallel viewing is along the top, Cross eyed viewing is on the bottom row. If you do the opposite method for the row that you can't do, the effect will be reversed. 1. Completely de-focus your eyes. By defocusing, I mean make your eyes go as cross-eyed as they can (don't strain your eyes though). 2. Relax your eyes and leave them de-focused. 3. Very slowly return to normal sight (but don't actually return to normal vision). When the two images become three (by going cross eyed, everything you see is effectively 'doubled'. Therefore, the two images become 4. Get the two 'fake' images to overlap), try to focus on that image, without returning to normal sight. 4. You are now viewing the image in 3D. No USB ports working (except for one)
I have 6 USB ports on my computer. Only one provides power now. The front two and three of the back ones are effectively dead. is there any way to fix this without buying new parts? I can provide details of the Motherboard and other things to aid the process. EDIT: I took my computer apart and taken out + blew out the dust from the ports. It has fixed the 3 on the back that weren't working, but the two at the front are still not working. One of the front ones will work occasionally, which makes me believe it's a bad connection. It doesn't matter so much that the front ones don't work, but it'd be nice to have them working.

Some cameras have a Panoramic mode, where it will stitch it together for you. There are a few pieces of stitching software available. I've only used 3 different ones. Hugin, PTGui and AutoPano Pro (and Giga, but Giga is based off Pro). Photoshop has got a function to do that, but it's pretty shoddy in my opinion. Hugin and PTGui are based off the same system, but PTGui is more user friendly imo. AutoPano is far superior (correlates to the price). You don't need a tripod. The only things it will make a difference for is making the stitching easier, and being able to do HDR panoramas. That's really it.

Most of my Panoramas have been done on my Mum's Panasonic DMC-TZ3, which isn't exactly an amazing camera. It depends more on the stitching software and editing software. I used that and AutoPano Pro (recently upgraded to AutoPano Giga) and produced some decent panoramas. If you want some examples I'll gladly provide them. Better quality cameras will just give you more control over the separate images (shutter speed, Aperture etc).

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
I'm thinking more about the Gameplay. Single Player was good, but the online was so flawed (no glitch fixes, no weapon balance, no new maps) that it wasn't really that good. However, I'm going to reserve judgment on COD MW for Wii until it's released.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Apparently COD4 is coming to the Wii to coincide with the release of Modern Warfare 2. However, it's going to be about as good (bad) as WaW, since it's Treyarch doing the porting :-# (http://n-europe.com/news.php?nid=13451)

Canon EOS 500D - 'Test' Shots
I can muck around with the curves on CS4, but it really doesn't improve the bottom. I'll try an HDR version if you wish.

Canon EOS 500D - 'Test' Shots
The Panorama there is my favourite one so far. The cloud in the middle right of the image was actually blurry in real life, and that's not created artificially. However, I had to have the aperture wide open, so the un-sharp parts of the image (around the outside) were caused by this. Thanks for your comments everyone :) As I get better with the camera, I'll probably upload some more shots (I'll just edit this thread instead of creating new ones).

Canon EOS 500D - 'Test' Shots
2 weeks ago, I bought a Canon EOS 500D, along with 3 lenses (although I had two before I bought it, and buying another soon). The lenses are: Canon EF-S 18-55mm (Kit Lens), Canon 35-135 f/4-f/5.6 USM lens and a Canon 75-300 f/4.0-f/5.6. I'm also going to purchase a Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6. Anyway, I just thought I'd post some of the better images I've got from the camera. Critique away. Note that all the shots done as of now are with the Supplied Kit lens, and the other two lens are off for servicing, as they both have fungal spores inside. [hide=Cape Daisy][/hide] [hide=Dahlia][/hide] [hide=Rose][/hide] [hide=Pylon][/hide] [hide=Best Panorama So Far][/hide] I know the images aren't exactly the most creative, but I'm trying to familiarize myself with my new camera and lenses. If you want to see bigger versions, just say, and I will provide.

Isass.exe
Looks fine to me. My lsass[Caution: Executable File] is using the same amount of memory.

Isass.exe
Are you sure it wasn't lsass[Caution: Executable File] (that's and L not an I)? Because if it is, that's Local Security Authentication Server, which verifies log ins. If it's not running from C:\Windows\System32, then it's a virus (substitute C:\ with whatever drive Windows is running from).

Salamonie Sunset
I like it. Only few niggles I have if I was prefer for the boat in the bottom left to be silhouetted, like the jetty, and if the sky was a little darker and maybe with a tinge of red. However, I do like it as it is, so there's no need to change it.

I'd be surprised if Zargo didn't win. His images were amazing (everyone elses were good too, but Zargo's ones really stood out). My image was awful, and I'm kinda stepping away from Landscape Photography atm, getting back into Macro (or by proper definition, Close-up) photography. When I get a new Sigma 10-20mm I'll be doing landscapes again. Thanks to everyone that thought my image was good though :)
