First thing you should do is realise that there is no pressure on you to get a group of friends. I felt pressured when I came to college, because only a few people from my school came, and I didn't really get along with them. If you feel pressured you'll feel even more shy, and that will inhibit you. You could try a youth club or social club in your area.

I'm indifferent about it. I could talk about religion, and how sex is only for procreation (i.e. Homosexuals can't reproduce), but there is more than enough procreation going on. I have quite a few gay friends, some are quite obvious and open about it, some are more reserved, but I actually find them funner to be around than most of my straight friends. Just for the record, I am straight.

I don't use a Mac, so I'm not privy to the names of any Mac Software besides what Apple make. You could use Final Cut Pro, which is the industry standard, but I have a feeling that you don't intend to make feature length films. I'm in the same sort of situation, but you are a bit further ahead than I am. She wanted a break, then realised that she liked someone else. She also says all the thing like she wants to be with me forever, wants to live with me etc etc. But, I'm not even sure how to handle my situation. I've lost quite a bit of sleep over it and have been feeling ill. So, although I can't answer how to sort it out, I know how you feel, and I hope someone can provide the answers you need :)

I really don't like this.. :( If there's a way one can set it so things are set as thumbnails, that'd be good. But having to click each picture to actually see clearly what's there is not something I'll look forward to doing.. :-# There's always cropping ;) Or, just play on standard detail. But seriously, it will help load times for pages with lots of images, and it wont automatically stretch the page.

If it were me, I'd try talk to her best friend and sort it out. Obviously, I don't know what happened between you and her, so it might not just be that simple. It doesn't matter if you cant get her to like you, just get her to not hate you. If you don't think that's an option, then give the girl you're after some IOIs (eye contact, smiling etc). Women expect the man to make a move, but if her best friend hates you that much, then you may have to wait for her to come to you instead. And yes, Always be funny, but try to quickly work out what she finds funny and what she doesn't, nothing like a crap joke to ruin the mood.

There may be a problem with that. In some cases, the woman wont be interested if she 'knows' you for a long time. But it's not always true. Do it sooner rather than later. It'd be hard to make a full conversation out of random maths questions, but you can try to make a conversation out of it if you wish. I think just general conversation is (ask her how she is etc) the best way to approach this. I would definitely try to be funny, but not too over the top with the stupidity. I think you should be funny, but rein back the amount of idiocy. I mean, if you're comfortable with it, then do it, because women love confidence. If she is her closest friend, then most likely she will have an impact. You might still have a chance with her, but it might take longer than normal to get her interested it you. Perhaps try smoothing things over with her best friend? I would regard that as an IOI (Indicator of Interest), so you should act on it as soon as possible.

I've wondered this for a long time. I wouldn't call a black person the 'n-word even' in a joking way because I think it is offensive, and not whether they think it is or isn't. If I knew someone who didn't mind it and I was a good friend with them, I might say it jokingly one or two times, because they'd know that I didn't mean it offensively.

I have been pretty clumsy with my phones in the past, and I find Nokias to be pretty resilient. My N-gage QD has been drop kicked (accidentally) many times and has only suffered a few scratches. The same action performed on a Siemens and Sony Ericsson wielded less than good results (read: They both broke). Plus Sony ericsson phones infuriate me to no end.
