  1. I think he means that the runecrafting gloves are old news with that slowpoke and that this topic is as actual as a rant about the removal of the former wilderness.
  2. This guy looks legit. I think we can trust him. Even so, I would still like to hear some source in the form of e.g. a video or a summary of the method to back up that claim.
  3. Registered Eagle Tas sometime in the winter 2004. Didn't play much at first at all but it increased a little to 30 minutes per day in average during mid2005-2007. Since February this year, I have been play about 2 hours a day in average. Including those occasional no-lifing weekends and my Runescape frenzy last summer, it seems that I have been playing approximately 1500 hours of Runescape. Nothing I regret, really. I don't watch much TV, so I haven't been wasting any more time than other average people around me do with TV and other video games. If you assume you live to be 80, and sleep 8 hours a day, you live to experience 467.2k awake hours. 5k hours spent in total on a game like Runescape only makes up about 1% of your life, then. Does that really sound so depressing? :)
  4. You hear the same thing about people in real life, for example world champions, rich celebrities, etcetera, etcetera. In the end, it all comes down to those who have achieved something, did so through hard work. Then again, maybe you are taking the phrase too literally as well. Whenever someone say "you're so lucky" to me, I have been thinking that they may (perhaps sub-conciously) mean that I am lucky to have had the will and motivation to earn whatever it is they're calling me lucky for having, which they in turn lack. Or it's just a figure of speech, heh. Or maybe it's just because we were always told that we were special, without any explanation to why, when we were young...
  5. Wow... how do anyone just come across glitches like the one we have here by coincidence? I mean look at that, it takes a sequence of 7 steps to perform and few of them are likely that you will just stumble across. Things like this just keep me jaw-dropping.
  6. Report as in Report bugs on the main site rather than in-game. Report that you have seen a player floating around like on a magic carpet while wearing castle war capes and hoods.
  7. What an odd glitch, indeed. From his Saradomin cape and hood, it looks like he has been at castle wars when it happened.
  8. Fire bolting blue dragons is a way that works too. Even makes a little profit. If you have done Family Crest, chaos gauntlets aids you as well by increasing your spell damage max by 3. You could also try super heating mithril bars. I've heard it's quite decent a method. I wouldn't say camelot teleporting is a good method. The costs are too high for a mere 35 xp per cast. Alching is faster and costs less per cast with a decent item. But it's up to you. You can try mage training arena, as well. There's a bunch of options you could try and see which suits you. If you want to alch, I don't really have any suggestion on what since I rarely alch myself. (I prefer to train magic through dagannoth kings)
  9. Are you a free player or members?
  10. This very thread has left me utterly gobsmacked! What ulterior motives would have our forum supervisors employ such peculiar and obscure vocabulary thus challenging my knowledge of semantics in the tongue of England? Is it in a conspiracy to push me into opening my ancient copy of the Oxford Modern English Dictionary? Alas, your attempts in persuading me to seek knowledge has shown efficacious, for I have cleared my aging dictionary off its dust to once again expose me of education and clarity. It's good to be reminded that there are always some new words I can learn, though. :)
  11. Internet Explorer is encoded into the system. It's just a shell for the regular Explorer. Technically you could access the internet with "My Computer" by putting an URL in the adress bar. Just set another browser as default browser and it should do the trick. -------- I wonder why not Chrome or Safari had their own options? Netscape is so old and outdated that it should just count as others or be grouped together with Firefox under a Mozilla category. In any case, I use Mozilla for its improved security, correctly displays web pages after W3C standards and recommendations (which Opera and IE fails to comply with), open source and, well, out of plain old habit. Internet Explorer is simply too slow, like many of the other products of Microsoft - which I find strange, since most of IE is loaded upon system start as part of Windows (EXPLORER[Caution: Executable File]).
  12. I believe they do. Just look at various cutscenes like the one in Animal Magnetism or the players in the security video from Draynor Bank. :) In any case, I wouldn't pass down the opportunity to congratulate the very founder of mine and our community's favourite game on his very special Happy 30th Birthday! May you look forward to many years to come! Also, I loved the biography. Very well done and researched. It explained a lot of things, including the origin of the sailing skill and why there are so many poorly disguised penguins in our games. A pleasant read, indeed. :)
  13. Quite a while ago, lol. Kota has had 99 magic for weeks.
  14. That new quest is out now and I have only heard good things about it. Gives 400k xp reward and 10m worth items. Do eet nao! Also, turkey emote is win, get it before Monday when you no longer can get it. Only requires you to either find 10 turkeys or kill around 10 turkeys.
  15. Best of luck to you that you recover your account. Hopefully the hacker didn't do too much damage. :?
  16. Does it happen to have a blue Fn (function) key near Ctrl? If so, look for numbers on J or other keys near it. If there are any there, hold Fn and press they key with the number. It's a virtual num pad right there! May be uncomfortable to use, however. You could also possibly buy an external USB laptop num pad, which you can find in your local gadget store.
  17. I like to think the most respectable achievement is to manage to be a strong, mature and friendly person in all situations, even in requiring ones. :)
  18. Legal or not, it's safe to say there's a major risk involved in using mousekeys. Just be aware, if you choose to risk it. On the other hand, as the SAS motto says: Who dares, wins.
  19. It's an attitude problem. You shall never pass judgment on another - friend, foe or even worse, a stranger. For in the eyes of the lord, they shall all stand naked. There's a friend to be found in everyone, so a little politeness can make everyone's world a little better. Personal attacks such as flames and insults is as bad as slapping a stranger in the face on the street. It stings after, but instead in the soul. In conclusion, give some love and you will receive love back.
  20. You are getting maxed kc at aviansies, weren't you? How's it going with that? Will you follow through it? :o
  21. It's been a while since I wrote, hasn't it? I tend to forget I have a blog lately. Guess I'll start by answering some replies; I appreciate them a lot. Good question. I do get that one from time to time. I guess it's time to explain it in more detail and get it over with. Tas is an acronym for starters, but it all started when I came in first touch with the internet. I never used the web itself at first but instead started playing Battlefield 1942: Secret Weapons Demo online. At the time I was madly skilled at spotting people from crazy far distances and then shoot and hit them with for example a pistol. This may lead you to think I was playing as a sniper, but I was actually mostly playing as assault or medic and typically landed on a 6th place on a 32 player server. It made me confident enough to associate my skill with eagles, famous for having excellent view and being able to spot things from kilometers away. Tas stands for "the Author Soul", which I later added a year after I first picked my nick Eagle. This is due to how I used to love to write short stories and novels during that period, and since I later used it when I picked my rs nick (Eagle was picked of course), I have stuck myself to it. Hehe, I actually put thought behind my nick when I picked it in 2004, surprisingly enough. Makes me feel comfortable enough with it to continue use it. :) You're the best! I live in that lair, but I always seem to forget where I put the key... Thanks for letting me in! Rex, Prime and Supreme are my cute little pe(s)ts. See you all in-game! // Eagle Tas
  22. I suggest you modify the pictures slightly and mark out who is who. For example, make a yellow arrow pointing to the guard to clear it up as well as perhaps a red circle to help people find where you are on the picture. Just mark it in someway to lead the eye to what's interesting. I had to scan the entire first pictures with my eye several times in order to find the guard and yourself. Good tip on luring, though. The same principle as every other case of luring. Make it aggressive, lead and pin to safe spot. The same as anyone do on any dagannoth king mage trip. Thanks!
  23. Whoa, makes me want to drop my bows, swords and staves in favour for that neat looking blue pickaxe! Go Brandon, race to the rocks!
  24. What we are talking about is not what is high or not, but where we set the boundary to where we think something is impressive enough to deserve recognition. Technically, level 60 or 70 is considered by Jagex to be high level, and it is. But with some effort, mostly anyone could achieve that. What you really mean with "I think 90+ is high" is that anything lower than 90 isn't impressive enough to make you applause or drop your jaw for because you don't consider it to take impressive effort to achieve. Where you set the bar to where you think something is impressive or an achievement enough to call it "high" has a lot to do with how long you have been playing or how far you have gotten on the walkway to 99. From the eyes of a more average and less hardcore player, however, receiving a level past 70 or 80 takes effort and several months of playing at a regular healthy dose of 30-60 minutes in average per day with a mixed and varied game-play. (Take note that I say average per day and not per gaming session.)
