Is anyone else just completely disappointed with everyone?
I've mostly stayed out of this topic (as interesting as it is) but let me say that if all of the users in question were as fair and reasonable as both the DGS posters here then there would be no problem. We also do accept that you cannot be held responsible for things your supporters do without your consent, and we appreciate that you are attempting to make your transition off these forums as smooth as possible for everyone involved. EDIT: I also want to add that if anyone has any questions about our procedures, or anything else, you're welcome to send me a pm and I'll do my best to give you a satisfactory answer :)

TIF is bit over-moderated
Why don't you make your records public in such cases? I'm hearing lots of stories about recent bannings and your refusal to tell us anything makes you look like you're hiding something. Darkdude's supposed glee at a certain poster leaving just makes it worse. It's not necessary to announce every banning but you should explain your actions when challenged. Well basically we keep our records private out of respect for the users, though it may seem difficult to believe. We remove stuff from public view generally because it's not suitable FOR public view, no matter who posted it. The idea has been discussed though, I wouldn't rule it out that it might happen at some point. We already do explain our actions though, just directly to the offending party, and not to everyone who wants to know. The disadvantage of this is that of course, if the person being disciplined decides to put a spin on it to make themselves look better we're stuck between a rock and a hard place in terms of how we look to gen pop.

I think part of the issue here is that our attempt to "crack down on trolling" was actually an attempt to improve the situation of Gen and H&A, where like Nifflin says they can be very frustrating places to post...

TIF is bit over-moderated
We have actually had a couple threads in the past where users have been invited to give their feedback about our moderation and moderators. The reason we've strayed away from allowing public discussion is that what happens in 99% of cases (as we've seen here today) is that the users doing so will be upset that they've been disciplined for rulebreaking and will post false or incomplete information about the action that was taken in order to make the staff look bad.

Yeah, great game. Price stood on his head, and sloppy play by the B's did the rest. Poor Kaberle (haha)

Wait, are you admitting Brian Burke did something right?

Tip.It Is Awesome!
Flaming is basically insulting someone. Trolling is saying something ridiculous or insensitive to incite a reaction, or to waste someone's time.

Deflection Skin Bugged
It wasn't different before then. I'm well aware that the admins have the ability to edit style sheets, but they don't do so regularly here. I'm inclined to say the problem is on your side. Since we started using the CDN just because it's working for me doesn't mean it's going to work for everyone, but I haven't heard of anyone else in the UK area having this problem. Peter will know in more detail exactly which CDN server you're grabbing stylesheets from and will hopefully be able to help you more.

Deflection Skin Bugged
The admins don't write the stylesheets lol. If you "know how forums run" then you'd know that all the styles used on this forum are either IPB defaults or purchased from a style designer. It's an irrelevant point anyway.

That's not necessarily true, there are several different stylesheets involved. True but anyone with any coding sense, which the tip.it admins have, are not going to put a style factor used universally by all pages in a stylesheet tht isn't applied to all pages. eg the background colour, basic table/div colours, tab graphics and default font colours are used by all pages and as such would probably by in a single style sheet that all pages use; while other stylesheets for page specific features are called up by pages. Since tip.it coders aren't foolish its safe to say lack of ALLL style features isn't a style sheet issue. Just doesn't seem likely given tht some pages work and others don't and its not even like it could be cached pages work since the pages tht r mucking up arent pages i nvr visisted before and i've done a cache clearence. Firstly. The admins didn't write the software for this forum so it has nothing to do with them. Secondly - there could be multiple stylesheets handling different elements that are combined together. I agree with you, however, that it probably isn't a stylesheet issue (after seeing the images).

Seems to be working fine for me. I'd try clearing your cache, remember stylesheets are now coming from the cdn rather then the forum server itself. Although we're probably on a different cdn server so maybe there's actually something wrong with the one serving your area.

@dizzle - no audio atm but I'll take a listen when i get home. Good job at any rate  On a somewhat related note, if you're interested in subtle video, these are an option: http://www.hammacher.com/Product/81148?promo=search http://www.hammacher.com/Product/81088?promo=homepage_hero

I can see SJ sweeping...can't see PHI sweeping though. They've been playing really badly, Buf has been playing really well, and Pronger's still not back.

Haha small consolation I guess eh. Hate to say it but I think they may end up with another #1 next season as well...

Things you don't like on your opposite sex
What I care about most is slimness, so I'd take a 32B over a 38B or 38DD any day, for example. I also would like to stress that firmness is just as important as size, there's nothing hotter than a girl taking off her bra and her boobs hardly change shape at all. 32G would proooobably be a big too big for me, but I wouldn't complain compared to a 200 pounder. But then again, firmness only gets more important as size increases. Wow, you guys really seem to know your bra sizes. Yeah lmao. Basically what I've learned from this topic is that everyone posting is physically perfect and expects their significant other to be the same

Efficiency Trolls
Obviously this is a heated topic that people take pretty seriously, which is fine. Insulting others, flaming, and trolling is not. Find a way to attack ideas, not people. Consider this the last warning for anyone involved: further posts that insult other people in any way will be removed and action may be taken against the user's forum account.

Yeah. Lucky for the devils though it would seem. I don't think this draft is different, nor shallow. I just don't think there's a franchise player, but there are still a lot of good prospects.

Lol Nabokov. He's hardly better..... But the question still remains - how do they get rid of Toskala without taking Giguere? I think Giguere will be signed, probably as a backup not making more than $1m a year.
-
The Obligatory Ice Hockey Thread
Giguere is getting old, yeah. I doubt they renew his contract (remember he's a UFA come July 1st) or if they do it'll be for a very low amount. But cap space is pointless when you don't use it. Starting this next season, they will have to worry about cap space, if they find a #1 centre. That's why they wouldn't take Giguere now.
-
The Obligatory Ice Hockey Thread
Firstly - I've already said the cap space is irrelevant as TO has cap space to burn. And giguere is worth far more than a seventh round draft pick. That would be idiotic of Anaheim to trade him for that.
-
The Obligatory Ice Hockey Thread
The eighth round doesn't exist anymore. And a 7th round pick is not better then a former vezina winning goaltender, sorry. The canucks are headed where they were precisely because burke is good at what he does.
-
The Obligatory Ice Hockey Thread
No, sorry. A team with completely different players and management is not the same. Also, you're forgetting Burke has won a cup and was instrumental in shaping the current best team in the league. Could have traded toskala away for a pick? I doubt it, that's how awful he was. They didn't need cap space either, they have cap space to burn.
