Real life help & advice
Maybe I should just ask for clarification...? Like: "This didn't quite make sense to me, so I was hoping you could help...." I really wouldn't do that - that makes it pretty obvious that you don't trust her which would be extremely hard to take if her story is actually true. You need to trust her at this point - keep a weather eye open for any more possible symptoms of her lying or anything like that, but you can't really do anything but take her at her word for the time being.

Real life help & advice
It's really up to you - that's a difficult situation - best you can do is just reiterate that you're there for her no matter what...and hope she either comes clean, or there's some resolution otherwise. I wouldn't go about accusing her of lying if you can't be sure.

Add qfc code tags
That would actually require code changes I think - making just the bbcode can be done from the ACP directly as far as I know.

Thanks!
Are you stuck with the colours? I like this design better - your first was a little simpler which I like but newspapers typically go for a more cluttered look which you've moved towards a little bit(at least with the navigation)

Add qfc code tags

America, Violence and Guns
Yet gun crime in the US is higher per capita then in Mexico :P (according to some statistics, it's pretty close though so it fluctuates). Interestingly enough, Japan is also quite close to Russia, yet Russia has one of the highest gun crime rates per capita, and Japan one of the lowest. I agree that you can't come to a completely full conclusion about statistics but at very least it's undeniable that gun control lowers gun crime per capita even if that isn't the only reason for such. Edit: lol @ mask

America, Violence and Guns
This reasoning makes sense in theory but not in practice. The fact is that even for a country like Canada on the border of Gun Central, gun crime is quite low simply because they are illegal. Yes - if you really really want a gun, you can get it - but only the most serious criminals really really want them.

America, Violence and Guns
Well, see there you go. You think people are too stupid to defend themselves but I believe they are. You're the pessimistic and idealistic one, I'm the optimistic and realistic one. Learn to disagree to what we agree? :-) I don't think people are too stupid to defend themselves. I think giving people easy access to guns does more harm then good, and this is statistic fact.

Didn't see it, link it? Reimer sent down today - I guess it makes sense. He'll have his turn next year hopefully.

America, Violence and Guns
Ahh ok, so you're just as scared of a random guy than a random guy with a gun. Right. No, but a gun won't shoot by itself. There must be a person behind the gun that does it. Anything can kill, but this is just 1 method. People will easily find a way around it. But man, you're totally forgetting a piece of paper with some Senator's signatures on it will stop the bullets from coming out from their respective barrels. I'm honestly don't understand what you're getting at. He's trying to be sarcastic and tell you that anti-gun legislation has no effect, when it obviously works to great effect.

But man, you're totally forgetting a piece of paper with some Senator's signatures on it will stop the bullets from coming out from their respective barrels. But man, you're totally forgetting that when you've got a gun in your pocket, you'll be totally safe from everything, dude. It'll never go off accidentally and maim or kill a little kid. It'll never get stolen and used for ill. That gun shop you frequent will never hand out a gun to a criminally insane person who'll go on a shooting spree. You'll always be prepared and quick enough on the draw to dispatch the ten gang members coming your way, and what the hell, that little girl walking her dog, well, she wouldn't have done anything useful with her life anyway. From other thread: I'm never going to give up the possiblity to protect my own safety. No one knows me better than myself. That is a fact. A fact which you will never make me believe otherwise so you might as well not quote this part of my post. And like I said, an attitude where the self is more important than society. I will put my personal safely on the line because I know others lives are saved because of it. Not to mention of course, in my twenty-one years of life living in a far from crime free neighborhood I've never even seen a gun.

America, Violence and Guns
Why is it so ridiculous to be prosecuted for breaking common sense? Answer that, sir. It's ridiculous to be prosecuted for breaking common sense because we can all make our own choices, as long as they don't hurt others. Time and time again, we have seen how the "common sense" choices many people make to carry guns around has severe negative repercussions. Look - I seriously feel for those people in the world (in Canada particularly) who are killed because they can't defend themselves by carrying a gun around. Rare cases, I'll admit, but it certainly happens, and I don't want to trivilaize the pain felt by the families of the victims. But the bottom line is that when I'm asked to choose between a 12% firearm deaths per capita and 4%, I'll take the four every time...I'd rather have 4 people die defenceless than 12 people die defended.

America, Violence and Guns
Not really considering you can easily find a murder weapon in your typical kitchen and be certain that whoever you attack will be defenceless. If you can find a murder weapoin in your typical kitchen, how can you be so certain that whoever you attack will be defenceless? The bottom line is that killing someone with a knife is much harder than doing so with a gun - the survival rate for knife assaults compared to gun assaults proves that. Why is it so ridiculous to be prosecuted for breaking the law?

America, Violence and Guns
Ahh ok, so you're just as scared of a random guy than a random guy with a gun. Right. I've never heard of anyone who's defended themselves (with a legal weapon or without) being punished for it when their life was in danger. But yes, if you're carrying around an illegal weapon and you kill someone with it (in self defence) you'll be prosecuted for possession of an illegal weapon.

Oddly enough, since those things are harder to get a hold of, attackers are less likely to have them as well ;)

America, Violence and Guns
Seems that it's not so much the US that has a problem with guns, so much as the whole of the Americas (Canada aside). The low rates in east Asia are staggering. There's a list on Wikipedia showing more up-to-date figures but they aren't significantly different. Interesting that Canada has the lowest rate in the americas - as it's quite hard to get a gun here. Look - I understand where americans are coming from. Guns are pretty [bleep]ing cool, to be honest. I understand the desire to want to have one because they're cool, or because you feel safe, or whatever. Unfortunately, releaxed gun laws have consequences. I'm willing to waive my right to bear arms (I never intend to own a gun) if it lowers gun crime in society, which it does.

Yeah I thought most of the goals weren't really his fault. Beauchemin made a few good plays as well. I imagine Giguere will get the next start - Reimer may get one more. Sean avery, anyone? :P
