  1. Completely agree. Even if it's "just a holiday". It's not even a serious holiday. It sprouted for a reason though. I see nick beat me too it, but I agree - it's a joke holiday. It's an opportunity to make fun of stereotypes by living them.

  3. Sorry you feel that way. Feel free to participate in national woman day when it comes around to offset the terrible effects of a joke holiday that obviously breeds sexism in society
  4. Nothing really wrong with DW as a coding environment, it's more the features that I think lead newcomers astray.
  5. Lol. :P I can't for the life of me remember what word gives you [wagon] :( Unless it's [wagon]. EDIT: We have a winner :P
  6. I'm inclined to agree with Joe. DI's only major claim to fame was their domination in p2p. If this remake doesn't strive for the same they won't be anything special, although they could amount to a decent clan eventually.
  7. Oh, I meant easy to get the free kills from mac noobs :P But it was about the same as I remember, and I was mediocre as usual.
  8. I already gave you your answer: The majority of serious web developers do not use any program to do development, instead they chose to hand write the html, css and javascript code using a text editor. If you're looking for a learning resource, w3 schools is decent for beginners.
  9. Ahhh yes, "gunslinging". I "sling" my "gun" at least twice a week. No no, real gunslinging.
  10. Ok, I'll try that. I'm doing 10 lbs at the moment, and it's brutal. Thanks for the help :)
  11. Good html developers do the coding by hand, which means all you need is a text editor and a browser.
  12. Being an antique collector, i think you'll find that nostalgia is my business. Dusty's business is gunslinging ;)
  13. Well in terms of backup, you can buy utilities to do it, but all it's really doing is copy pasting your files to a location of your choice. Depending on exactly what you want to back up a usb key may be sufficient or else you'll need to buy an external HD. To reformat, just stick in your operating system disk, and reinstall windows, it will take care of everything from there on.
  14. Yeah don't use dreamweaver. And like I said I'm glad to help but web stuff isn't my strong point :P
  15. Figured I might leave this here rather than creating a new thread. I have this peculiar habit of doing forearm exercises at random as I'm at my desks. I don't work out at all (well barely) and am quite skinny but as a result of this random exercise my forearms are fairly muscular. I have a homemade one of these: What I do is I roll it up with my arms spread as far apart as possible, then let it down slowly with my arms spread apart, then pull my arms to the very center and wind it up slowly. Just wondering if this is the best way to do it, obviously I'm only doing this one exercise but I figure if I'm doing this at least I might as well do it properly :P
  16. Pssh I play WoW :P Not anymore, I cancelled my subscription. In terms of the topic though, I don't think there's really much you can do other than let people know there's a spot for them if they want it. A lot of people who retire come back in a very "halfhearted" manner which just ends up hurting their previous reputation and doesn't help the clan much.
  17. I have Dreamweaver and hoping to learn to use it but I don't really see the point because I don't have a website or know how to get one. D: Though I know that you can preview the design in html after I code it and travel through the links as if it were a working site. Other comment: I will take a while to load if I code it using high quality pics but when I go to optimize the images in PS I can lower the quality enough so it will be fast. Well if you wanted to convert it to an actual functioning menu you would need to do more than optimize the images. You'd want it to be dynamically generated for any number of menu items, for example. If you decide you want to try to make it the real thing, throw me a pm, I'll see if I can give you a hand. More than likely I'll just send you off to dsavi though :P
  18. I'm only 11 really. So I don't see what age has to do with anything. NAH. But I did think harrinator was older for some reason, oh well!
  19. The Economist is great. Unfortunately I'm too cheap to buy a subscription at the moment.
  20. Hmm, looks interesting. Do you have any intention of actually coding it, or are you sticking to the image?
  21. Reformatting will make you lose all your stuff, yes. But, if you can at least get the computer working to some degree you should be able to back it up. Otherwise, just buy the new hard drive, install windows, and then copy the stuff from the other drive (if possible)
