  1. Yeah I think LA wins in 6 now.
  2. Jersey manages to win one...game 5 on saturday!
  3. yep same.. ps LOL:
  4. Maybe because I'm accounting for Kovy playing injured. Playing 25-27 mins a night in his status is impressive. True, but not if he looks disengaged the entire time lol
  5. Can't believe I missed this...congrats gladz!

Just curious to see how many languages people around here speak (not just your first language). Personally, I speak English well, and French poorly. I also know a small amount of Spanish. I've been trying to learn French some more though as it is one of Canada's official languages.. Vote away :)
  7. Heh yeah that tends to happen. At least you don't live in canada...I think the cheapest tix to game 7 van boston last year were going for 5 grand. If toronto was in a similar situation I wouldn't be surprised to see that number reach 10g. @Faux: Really? Parise hasn't done much but I do think he's played pretty hard..he has more shots than kovy...
  8. Well, kings dominating NJ thus far. Jersey has worked hard but they just don't have as good of a team...
  9. People absolutely choose to believe in God without having it taught to them. There are hundreds of thousands of converts to various religions every year.
  10. Seems to me to be the same as poly-amory.
  11. The same thing a man and a woman in a poly-amorous relationship should do.
  12. You have to realize that your friend is one example out of many people. Just because your friend has a desire to hook up with other girls doesn't mean everyone does. Of course, but sex is not necessarily just sex. Not compromise, no...but sacrifice. Why can't the same apply in a monogamous relationship? And you could just as soon do the same for someone in a monogamous relationship, although personally I doubt a hardcore drug addict is capable of maintaining a worthwhile relationship. A) Same for myself. And I'm monogamous. Once again - characteristic of mature relationships, not just poly-amorous ones. B) I've already been over with you why this plan is probably unrealistic...but to each his own.
  13. How? You know I broke up with my girlfriend lol, read my pm. How so? Any relationship of any kind requires some degree of sacrifice and compromise. If you truly are unable to compromise on anything you'd probably have no friends and be alienated from your family. And what if you never have "an overabundance of wealth and free time"? Not all of us are going to be millionaires... And I presume you'd like to have kids naturally? The woman in such a case would likely be around your age, by which time she'd likely be close to infertility or at very least it would be more difficult to have kids. Not to mention that if you have kids in your forties they might not even be moving out until you're seventy (so you'd still be supporting them).
  14. Once again, this thread is a poor subset of humanity to use as an example of the merits of poly-amorous relationships. You're basing your entire view of monogamy on the immature actions of the angsty teenagers who make up the majority of this thread's posters. Did I end things with my girlfriend as a last resort, kicking and screaming? Would I have rather been unsatisfied with them than alone? Did I ever complain of being afraid of being alone forever? Yet I'm as much in favour of monogamy as anyone... I think you're confusing a lot of what you describe as purely characteristics of poly-amorous relationships with characteristics of mature adult relationships. There's also no real motivation to put in effort towards the relationship if you have the "plenty of other fish in the sea" mentality. I doubt you want kids personally, but do you think it's possible (and encouraged) to raise kids in poly-amorous relationships?
  15. Not really surprised. But I love the intensity of OT games!
  16. If they were legislated to do so, they would...which would effectively kill capitalism. So yeah, I agree...

I've always found the conspiracy theories surrounding the DB Cooper case pretty interesting. Also the same surrounding the JFK assassination.
  18. Saw safe house. Better than expected. Was expecting 5/10, I'd give it a 6.

I like how you claim to know what my parents would do better than I would.

He's never stuck to his display name lol. Anyway gj, glad it was a good outcome. I sometimes wonder how my parents would react if me or one of my siblings came out gay (I'm not and I don't know that any of my siblings are). On the one hand, they're ultra-conservative catholics, but on the other, they've always been very clear on the fact that they're here for us no matter what. I imagine they'd be disappointed but wouldn't disown us or anything... Sorry, kind of a tangent there...
  22. But that 1.6k is still a lot when you're not paying a lot. I understand why they're upset - they've become accustomed to having to pay basically nothing so an increase like that is obviously unwelcome. My problem with it is that it seems the protesters aren't using common sense to realize that this is a necessary evil.

Urine is just gross. Bleach is dangerous.. But seriously. If I got hit with a urine balloon, I'd be pissed.

Very nice, I wish I had that view lol
