Not per see. See the 1 defence pure like a silk t shirt, see the 2 defence guy as a two layered silk shirt. Either way a sword will cut through hard. So a guy with 99 defense is like a guy wearing a 99 layered silk shirt- barely able to move, but capable of stopping a ballista without being harmed. No...What Dharockslayer said is that, whether you are 1 defence or 2 defence, the difference is minimal. Other players would be able to rip through your armour in either cases.

I'd say, stick with flesh crawlers. Then once your strenght is higher (55 plus) , you can try the Lvl 21 edgeville guards if you want. As for ranged: 40-55: Port sarim guards 55-60(?): White knights

There are actually 3 safespots, being the one in the middle my personal favourite. Just range the mossies behind the columns and the loot/arrows will fall right in front of you.

HAHAHAHAHA OMG WHITE KNIGHTS???? i did the same thing and people called me crazy! WHite Knights are the way to go dude! low def and high str. the sure they might hit a 8now and then , but with them using a 2h they hit really slow. wcingisgood has a good thing going.. i say do what he said Yes, they do hit hard but they are dumb enough to get trapped inside the torture room. Also you can go inside and kill the knights outside. If you are smart enough, you can even sidestep around the torture tables. I tried this method and it worked perfectly.

I ranged the level 21 guards upstairs Port Sarim jail until level 55. No people around, and the tables and chairs can be used for safespoting. Then I moved to white knights. It worked with me. But maybe someone will try to convince you that hill giants or whatever are better :roll:

This kind of answer is why people hate pures. OT: I would probably make a combat pure but it's just me. After several days of skilling it gets too boring to go on. So I make a pure for combat only. Since i use my main for skilling, i don't need a skiller pure.

Do NOT use the air running business. The balanced trades update has severely lessened the profits. Mining ess may be a good idea, since players are eager to get 50 runecraft to enter the runecrafting guild.

Eyes of newt cost only 3gp each at Port Sarim magical shop and can be sold for 69 gp each in the G.E.

I thought fighting/colourful boots from SoS were the best :? The best boots for F2P give just a few defence bonuses and not much else. Then there are the random/holiday event boots which look nice but don't have any bonuses.

When you complete all the Lumbridge achievement diary tasks, you will be awarded an explorer's ring. One of it's abilities is to teleport you to a cabbage field south of Falador, which is conveniently close to Draynor bank. More information can be found here

I also had the same problem, however when I talked to Aubury again to teleport me, I was able to access the rune ess mine as usual. I just got the message, but I wasn't teleported to the abyssal hole though.
