Aeroika
The reason it is considered offensive is because it is now associated with the nazis. It doesn't matter what it meant before, it is forever destined to be known as "That symbol the nazis used". But yeah, giant floating cities sound cool. Or making an island or 10 float over a few hundered years by digging into the island and creating a ton of machinery inside. I find myself joyous in saying SCREW PHYSICS, LETS HAVE US SOME AIR PIRATES AND FLOATING CONTINENTS.

I have to wonder why Hex likes the Nazis so much. Also, I'd rather we stuck with steampunk as well. I call sky-pirates anarchist nation.

And Gunblades. Don't forget gunblades.

[bleep] yeah, steampunk and airships! Now all we need is floating continents, and I'll be a happy person. Also, for your viewing pleasure, a Gunblade. Hell yeah.

I still just don't see this "Element of exploration" you're talking about. We have a map already made, it isn't like we're going off the edge of it, we're fighting for the bits we already have, As well as that, Europe/northern Africa have all the main terrain types and such, assuming we include a bit of Russia along with it. Also, you don't need your people to live in the same area they would have lived in real life. Hell, you could be the mongols and start in Egypt if you really wanted to. I want the game to sort of force people into regular battle, and being away on an island which takes months to get to sort of screws that up. Unless we assume that the coastline is magical and you can simply hop across the sea with the usual '1 tile per turn' rule.

Nope. Travelling across the ocean screws up the time ratio and just screws everything in general. Including the British isles is fine, but thats it.

Tip.it Kingdoms
Theres still a huge amount of ocean in the middle. We don't want the ocean.

Mather, you need to stop being so protective of Norway. Yes, we understand that you have a lot of pride in your homeland, but theres no need to correct everyone who makes a mistake on a damned RP board. <_<

We need a method so that every player can interact without years of developing seafaring craft and then further years of travel. The Earth map just wont work. Suggestions?

Tip.it Kingdoms
It also takes years to do. England is not far away from france, so that is fine, but I still don't think we should use the Americas or Africa. This is the reason I didn't want to use the current map of Earth.

Zombie Plans-Revised
Once again, we have the problem of weight. A halberd would be very effective until you miss, and then you don't get enough time for a second try.

But the chances of making such a voyage are slim, is all I'm saying.

By the way, I think we'll only be using Europe. Since, y'know. The ocean is big. And people back then had no way to cross it to America and such.

The way I plan to do it is that there will be no way to abuse the settings and such. You'll have your units, and that will be it. I will be moderating the effects, though, since that is the one thing which can be abused.

If God were on trial - What would be the charges?
If God did truly exist and people decided to sue him, would he not be guilty of everything? Since if he did exist and the bible was correct and he created everything, he is guilty of every crime ever commited, albeit indrectly.

Okay, over the christmas holidays I'm going to be fleshing out the kingdom rules again. This time, there will be no going crazy with unit values and such, but we will still be using the basic fire emblem style of battle. I'm going to fix up the resource management, as well as get a set of rules down for unit strengths and effects which cannot be abused. I'm still not including magic, since people seem to hate the idea. I'll hopefully be gettin Screenmonkey full, so it can all be done. Don't start this with Hegemony rules, as that would fail.

Zombie Plans-Revised
Yes they wil, because chlorine is poisonous not because it generates some sort of unfixable disease, but because it destroys the layer of fat around each cell, rendering them useless. But a chlorinated dart wont do much, is dangerous to carry around, and, well, it's just generally inneffective against zombies.

Sir, I believe you are mistaking me for a mirror. I roundhouse kick Hex's jaw.
-
Zombie Plans-Revised
Mather, you forget that zombies have no blood flow, so poison cannot spread around their body. Blowgun is useless.

Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
You wouldn't be able to research those things anyway Mather, we wouldn't let you since they're game breaking.

Game Informer's Top 200 Games
Runescape does not belong on a top 200 games list. It would barely belong on a top 500 games list. I would have liked to have seen Fire Emblem somewhere on that list, though. Probably close to Advance Wars.

Archimage A's Alpha Centuri!
Okay, lets see. A normal drone costs 30 to create, and has 3/3/0. Retech's people have 1/1/0 and cost 0.5 to maintain per year. It would take 20 months before 3 of Retechs people were balanced with a drone in terms of cost, and he can create 200 of his people in 5 turns. Essentially, he can create the equivilant to 66 drones in 5 turns with only 500 credits. He also makes sure that nobody can fight him with drones. ... Sounds slightly iffy to me.

Archi got my C deck rooms, since thats where the people were.

Archimage A's Alpha Centuri!
On the subject of the "Russian Conscript" tactic. There, I just created a formula which, in Retech's mind, is an instawin in this game.
