Except to you  I'll make my own locks if I need them. Although since I have access to the beta override I can simply lock people out of my designs completely.

Righto, thanks. I guess I'll need to get to work on my weapons engineering so that I can build things like this faster and more effectively.

Hey Archi, if I built the EDGE Armour by hand instead of having it fabricated, would that gain me experience? I notice that I'm sorely lacking in the levels department, so I was just wondering. Also, would it cost less, or would I have to assemble bits at a time and put them together later?

Tanker? Have you seen the EDGE Suit? Thing is pretty much just a slab of metal propelled forwards by five fission engines. At 5 meters a second.
-
Space
Bloody hell, with the number of different suits we're developing we'll be able to form a superhero team.

Don't you think you're getting a little too worked up over this? Shields will always be useful to have, and Retech doesn't have much other stuff in the way of priorities right now, so...
-
Space
Welllll... While I do think it is ever so slightly excessive, I can see a reason for it and am okay with it. And 50 is an exaggeration, right? Also, Retech, do you think I could use the shielding on the EDGE Armour?

I'm pretty sure we all will, so yeah.

Earth, everyone will have control of the hypothetical refinery, once protocols have been set to make sure nobody abuses it.

I'll likely be working on my suit, as well. It's still in simulation stages currently, since I lack the money required to fabricate it. That was part of the reason I wanted a refinery, as well. It costs a heckton, eats fuel like a [bleep], and would glass a city block if it were ever destroyed, but damn is it powerful. Speaking of which, Archi, is there a skill for engineering things like this, and would designing things grant experience in the skill?

Next, they'll integrate banking and every appliance in your household.

I'm not sure we'd be able to hold our own if we encountered any hostiles. It's probably better to do any upgrades we want doing first.

One: The Bridge, the Cargo Bay, AND the Crew Quarters are already bathed in blood. Primarily yours. You forgot the air flow systems.

Stop making wild accusations. It's called "The ship fund" for a reason.

I just want it so that we can play around with any wierd materials we find. I'd like to do some material research as it is, to help with my EDGE Suit. Plus, it means we can build torpedoes and such at a quicker pace. I think a refinery would be more important than say, hydroponics or a botany chamber. Drone bay is up for debate.

The Back Room
Oh wow, thanks. That's actually really handy.

The Back Room
Yeah, I was hoping to play apocalypse, but I can't find a copy anywhere for less than like £50, and less reputable methods have failed me.

The Back Room
Haha oh wow. Psionics are to Xcom what a baseball bat is to a knee. I can now clear every single mission without even firing a shot, by mind controlling all the aliens and making them chew on a live grenade. It makes it too easy, and it's pretty boring now, though.

Hmm... Shields are a good point. I think shields and stealth, in any combination, should be priority, and then we focus on the luxuries, like refineries and drone bays afterwards.
-
Space
Okay then, looks like we need to work on hull design. Also, Archi, is a stealth module a weapon slot or a bay slot?

He's actually been fairly lax about things thus far, but mutiny is a very serious offense.
-

He's the captain because he's proven that he's competant regarding ship matters. He isn't making a threat on false premises, he's excersizing his role as captain. Also, Icu, if you're going to pay anyway, you might as well give it all to the ship, since that way it'll be paid off faster, right? Either way, you get the same amount of mney in the end.
-
Space
Icu, that's incredibly flawed logic. Just because you needed to take control of the ship? That is mutiny, and mutiny is bad. mutineers are punished. The captain is there to make sure things go smoothly, ignoring the captain because he doesn't have the same goal as you is a bad idea. There was a reason I wouldn't have allowed it, but you never asked about it to check. Also, no, that wasn't an official punishment. That was more "Oh god just go away so I can try to fix this oh god oh god oh god"

I wanted to try to leave the solar system, but apparently if we do that it ends the session.
