I call robotic hivemind. I'll come up with the fluff for it later.

Dwarf fortress
Ouch... Well, keep at it. It's a very rewarding game once you get into it.

The Back Room
Get the classic controller bundle. It's well worth it, the classic controller pro is pretty much designed solely with Monster Hunter in mind.

Actually, adamantine weapons would be pretty bad, since slashing attacks don't do much. You'd be better off with steel warhammers or maces, since adamantine crushing weapons suck. Copper is better than adamantine for maces and hammers. Some of my nobles had an "Unfortunate accident" because they made impossible mandates.

Dwarf fortress
Sword dwarves can actually kill them, with a bit of luck. Decapitation will destroy them as well.

When it starts doing it's wierd spark thing, roll into it, since that will allow you to dodge it with ease. Hit it with Triple pounds when it does it's dance/birdcall thing, superpound as normal.

Dwarf fortress
I'm sure enemies would love to have their final sight be an exceptionally worked image of a rendition of a rendition of a piece of cheese  In fact, I might just do that. Thanks for the idea.

Dwarf fortress
The way I set up my fortress, I can't do that without using like 20 mechanisms and digging through 3 different stockpiles. Besides, the roof I caved in was artificial, so it takes me 5-10 minutes to recreate it.

Dwarf fortress
Causing a cave in on a creature kills it, period. Works with greater demons, regular demons, megabeasts, anything. If you collapse a roof on something, it dies.

The Back Room
It isn't really as though it matters, we aren't having a 20 post per minute discussion about it, after all. Earth, you find killer beetles in the flooded forest, by catching the butterflies in area... 4? I'm not sure, but it's the one which is only half submerged. I was killing HR Lagia just now, and two team mates quit on us, leaving me and another lancer, both of us using roughly the same skill set, and the same weapon. We both did better against Lagia than we've ever done before. No potions used, 11:35 minutes to capture. It was glorious.

I collapsed my entrance on a bronze collosus. Sad. I was hoping I wouldn't need to use that, but 5 marksdwarves firing for ten minutes seemed to have little effect, and my ballistae didn't do much either.

Just put your weapon away and run around. As long as you keep strafing around him, the electric balls shouldn't be able to hit you.

The Back Room
Basically, just ignore the Lagiacrus to death. If it comes to the area you're in, switch to the other one.

The Back Room
Pretty good, if I little uninteresting. Love the concept, but it has it's inherent flaws, such as being slow paced.

The Back Room
Trailer looks good. I'll probably get it.

Dungeons & Dragons
I feel kind of awkward at the prospect of playing so soon after I bailed on you guys... You don't mind, do you? Also, if you do feel up to it, Grim, I have hundereds of resource links that you might want.

Assuming you turn the waggle off, then no. Classic controller is better, but wii remote minus waggle is good too.
-
The Back Room
Well since I play with randoms all the time, it doesn't really matter. Just use whichever you feel comfortable with.

The Back Room
Ironically, the game is actually improved by NOT using the wii remote. You know you're getting something kind of wrong when the best (And currently most popular) game is one which does not use the core gimmick of your machine. That said, you shouldn't judge it just because it's a wiii exclusive. Try the PSP ones, they're just as good, even if they do horribly disfigure your left hand. There is enough MH for everyone.

It isn't a bad weapon, per se, it's just incredibly easy to be a burden to your team if you don't know what you're doing. I've seen good longsword users, and they really help out, but I've seen about twenty times as many bad ones.

The Back Room
Can't say I have. Most of my time right now is occupied with either Dwarf Fortress, or Monster Hunter. Again, you guys should get Monster Hunter. We could kill wyverns and stuff.

The Back Room
Okay, lets see... Lance is easy to pick up and use right off, but it's difficult to optimize; possibly the most difficult weapon in the game to do so with. I use this one personally, and it has the worst maneuverability in the game, but makes you nigh on invincible if used right, but, keeping this in mind, the shield should not be thought of as your own personal protection device, it should be thought of as a tool which allows you to take advantage of openings other weapons simply cannot get to. If you go with lance, NEVER, EVER EVER use the charge attack. It eats sharpness, does little damage, and sends teammates flying. Sword and shield is useful for inflicting status effects, mainly. It's raw damage isn't too great, but it makes a nice support weapon, and has excellent maneuverability. It has a shield, and you can use items with your weapon drawn, which is a nice additon, especially with the wide range skills (They allow your potions to affect your team as well as you). Can't really go wrong with this one. Greatsword is fairly difficult to use, but can inflict great damage if you learn to use it properly. You want high raw, elemental damage is less important since you attack a lot slower. They're slow as hell, which is why your greatsword should almost always be sheathed. The game tells you that the level 3 charge is one of the most powerful moves in the game, and it does not lie. It does absurd amounts of damage with the right skills, but it's hard to learn when you have an opening to use it. Avoid upswinging, especially when near a cliff (Countless times idiots with greatswords have flung me off a waterfall) Hammers are awesome, to be honest. Like the greatsword, you need to avoid upswinging. They have better maneuverability than most weapons, and the ability to KO monsters, which is incredibly handy. The two main attacks are superpound and triple pound. Superpound is the one that KOs, triple pound is for when you want to deal as much damage as possible. KO damage only counts if it hits the head, so that is where all superpounds should be aimed. Longswords are the bane of all decent players online. Everyone and their dog uses a longsword, and 90% are really bad with it. It CAN be a good weapon, but you really need to know how not to trip your teammates, and the main issue with this is learning not to spam the spirit combo over and over again, because it is one of the annoying moves (For everyone around you) in the game. If you choose this, prepare to be ranted at, a lot. People will judge you (with arguably good reason) to be a moron before they see you. All they need to know is your name, and that there is a longsword symbol next to it. This is because that 90% of the longsword users are completely and utterly incompetant. Switch axes... I don't have much to say about switch axes because I don't know much about them. I know that you should never do the X X XXXXXX infinite combo, but thats about it. Bowguns can be incredibly useful, but they tend to be glass cannons (The final elder dragon, Alatreon, will often one hit a maxed out bowgunner if they let him hit them) You need to learn how to stay the hell out of danger while still keeping a good fire rate up. If you want raw damage, use pierce and crag shots. Never use cluster shot online, it is almost as annoying as the spirit combo. Most bowgunners act as status support, since they can carry status shots, and in particular, paralysis shots. There are a lot of guides out there which help creation of bowguns with certain things (Rapidfire crag, pierce, or status shots, for example) They can also get shots which heal teammates, and they are sort of helpful later on, when one false move will [bleep] you over completely and utterly (Failing to dodge Deviljho's bite, for example)

To be honest, GMing isn't fun anymore... I don't know, I guess I'm just not really cut out for it, if I can't keep it fun for everyone involved. If any of you want to give it a shot, please do, but I'm tired of messing you guys around making characters, planning stuff, then getting bored and just leaving you all. It isn't fair on you, and if I'm not having fun either, it isn't fair on me. So yeah, sorry guys, I guess what I'm trying to say is that I don't have the time spare to prepare these things, nor the motivation to keep my attention focused, which would lead to sub-par gameplay, which isn't fun.
