Awesome, good choice, Earth. I recommend playing up to killing Lagiacrus before going online. If you kill Lagia, then you're pretty much ready for anything online at low rank.

The economy wont start properly in DF2010. Electrum coins weren't used anyway. Also, electrum is a real metal. It's an alloy of gold and silver.

Created wealth has broken the million mark, go me. Now to flood the world with hundereds of electrum goblets in exchange for more or less anything.

Mm, my nobles have pools of water in their rooms, along with several statues. Gotta keep your bookkeepers and brokers happy, y'know.

I like brooks because it allows you to gather fish, providing food before you have your farms set up. As of now, I have 750 units of fish, 800 units of plant, and 700 units of alchohol.

You can actually disable the aquafiers. Just go to the raws, search the objects file for "inorganic_stone_soil" and all similar files, and then remove the brackets around the [AQUAFIER] tag. If you mess something up, no big deal, replace the brackets, good as new. Just in case though, back up your saves first. Because aquafiers are annoying as hell.

Silver weapons are often found on goblins. They aren't that great, though.

If you like the SA, by all means use it. Just don't ever do the X X XXXXXXX infinite combo, because it sucks. Other than that, I don't have any information since I have never used a switchaxe.

Yeah, it sucks for anybody but lance users, and, to a limited extent, SnS users. Hammer users ocassionally use it too. But I'm thinking that if a hammer user were positioned next to the lance user with taunt, and a GS/LS user positioned wherever, as long as it isn't next to the lance user, then the hammer could hit the head from diagonally or from the side as the monster attacks the lance user, and the other players would have a ton of free space to hit the tail, legs and whatever else.

That, of course, is assuming that these lifeforms have not discovered the all important aspect of interstellar travel which alludes humanity: The ability to travel faster than light. Now, I don't want to turn this into a physics debate, but I think it sounds very unlikely that, given a universe so very vast, not a single lifeform has found a method to acheive FTL travel. Although aliens coming here just to sit in the clouds and giggle at us is a stupid concept. They would at least try to make contact, I would hope.

I was designing a couple of lance sets, when I started thinking about the -10 sense taunt skill. It makes the monster target me more often, and being a lance user, it would let other people get more hits with their hammer, GS, LS, S or whatever. Not really, no. The number relates to which year and season the files is on, and the latest ones are generally at the bottom.

I wish I could make conveyor belts. Would make electrum production so much faster. Then again, my furnace operator and metalcrafter are both legandary by now, so it isn't like it's slow. I'd have to say that a soul is just a different term to define who somebody is, how they think, how they feel, what they like, what they hate, and probably most of all, what they do. I don't think it remains after the death of the individual, although in a certain way it could persist in the minds of those who knew them before they passed away, and the actions they took during their life. I like to think of it as footprints on sand. Through the path one takes in life, their actions leave a mark upon the world, which will allow people a glimpse of their world, their "soul". Of course, that brings about the depressing thought that when somebody is forgotten, the mark they left has been filled in, or been eroded until no longer recognisable, they have just about stopped existing, but that might be taking it a little far.
