  1. China assures whichever country Grim is not taking of it's independance. Work begins on genetics.
  2. Am I the only one who supported the human side in that movie?
  3. I'm trading with China too. I have silk.
  4. I'm setting up a trade route to China. Silk and Gunpowder, yarr.
  5. It is confusing as hell. Took me several months to fully understand how to play. After that, it becomes awesome. Lava. Lava everywhere.
  6. Construction of a large city cut into the side of a newly discovered (Confirmed with Retech) mountain in the alps. A mine is being dug below the city as well.
  7. 50/50 sound good?
  8. In that case, I will take china.

You were the one who started this argument by saying you could have won, and I don't recall ever saying I could beat everybody, but sure, whatever. It was a draw.

Icu, you only had the most stuff because a lot of players quit and gave you their stuff. If we were actually still interested in playing fairly (And really, at that point, we weren't), then that would not have happened. Do you really understand what arrogant means? Because this quote is literally full of it.

This has gone past confidence and into arrogance.
  12. Seraphi replied to archimage_a's topic in Falador Tavern
I think you are being just a teensy bit overconfident.

Icu, there is no way you could have stood against the entire world; It just wouldn't have happened. They could have given their troops no other tactic than "JUST RUN." and they probably still would have won it. It was THAT hopeless  And I was just sitting there doing nothing for the last 20 or so years.
  14. Because dwarf fortress is an awesome game and everyone should play it. Even if it is a convulated mess.
  15. The search for a large, shallow sloped mountain begins, to extract metal and stone from. STRIKE THE EARTH. (Retech, I was thinking if we asked you to decide if we find this sort of stuff or not, then it would be fair. I don't know, roll a dice or something?) Cranequin crossbows are being developed further, and knights are being trained in their use. The primary knight weapon is a large, double headed axe with a bladed shaft and a shielded handle. Guess where the inspiration for my civilisation came from. Hint, it's called Dwarf Fortress.
  16. In that case, I'm going to monopolise chinese black powder as soon as my ships get there.
  17. Alright then Earth. As long as they aren't godlike titans of unnatural strength who can cut through a house or something and kill 1000 troops in a corridor, then hey, whatever.
  18. Okay okay okay. I think I'll give my verdict now, regardless of whether it is needed or not. I think that wars should be decided arbitrarily. Certain troops are going to have advantage in certain scenarios or when using certain strategies/tactics, and that should be accounted for. The advantage needs to be large enough that it makes each troop distinct compared to another troop. Earth, those hell knights are stupid. 1000 knights? What? 1000 people could kill even the most incredibly skilled and powerful warrior ever simply by charging at him in a big crowd and stamping on him until he dies. Hell, 50 people could probably do that. Just because you can make unique units, doesn't mean you should make them absurd, and just because you have made them absurd, doesn't mean everyone else should. "Oh hey, my unique units are people who can turn into gas. The gas is inhaled by your hell knights and then IT TURNS INTO SWORDS." Onto something which is actually relevent: The king of Zephyr has decreed that god spoke to him in a dream. He told him that technology and industry please him, and that they should be worshipped just like any holy alter would. Research begins into explosive substances. Ships are sent to the far eastern lands to bring back research materials. ETA 40 years.
  19. Chariots have been obsolete for like...a millennium now. Wait and see
  20. Burgandy changes it's name to the Kingdom of Zephyr. Work begins on special battle chariots, as well as increased blade quality using folded steel, wrought iron and then a softer steel to create a superior blade. Huh. This is off to a good start.
  21. Eh, why the hell not. I'll go with Germany.
  22. It has been stated repeatedly that many of the players do not want magic. It would be unbalancable anyway, unless we go with a restrictive system, and nobody wants that.
  23. Guess I'll go with Burgandy.

Nah, I'll do all my material gathering offline until I get to high rank so I can get all the uber ores, ancient charms and ancient shards.
  25. I'll split the one billion equally between all of the projects.
