He's definitely a really distinctive artist in the scene, and you're probably right: calling him overrated (especially in this context, i.e. in a thread full of Dimmu Borgir and related) is probably way too harsh. But yeah, he pretty much set the way for 'ambient black metal' which I could never really get into much. It just feels as if he intentionally or otherwise dragged everything out forever and ever, particularly in that track you mentioned. I don't know, maybe I should give his work more listens now I'm accustomed to more 'atypical of stereotype' music.
