  1. Heh nice, super compatibility. !T.O.O.H.!'s ?ád a trest. This has to be some of the most awesome music ever made.
  2. Only one of the best genres of music ever conceived.
  3. World's End Girlfriend's Hurtbreak Wonderland. Perhaps his most beautiful album and it really matches my mood right now.
  4. Yeah, I can only really give an outline of it because well, as you said, there are so many other little factors that are completely different from person to person that could either intensify the attraction or put me off completely. Works both ways.
  5. Don't say that.. :( Trust me, it's really hard to say that without losing face as a metal listener. That said I'm gonna give Hvis Lyset Tar Oss another try maybe later today and I'll see how I get on with it.
  6. Have you listened to Imaginary Sonicscape yet? It would probably blow your mind if you haven't. Blind Guardian's Battalions of Fear. This record is almost thrash metal in places, especially in the song 'Majesty'. Thrash purists, don't hate me.
  7. Any love for Windir or Cruachan here?
  8. He's definitely a really distinctive artist in the scene, and you're probably right: calling him overrated (especially in this context, i.e. in a thread full of Dimmu Borgir and related) is probably way too harsh. But yeah, he pretty much set the way for 'ambient black metal' which I could never really get into much. It just feels as if he intentionally or otherwise dragged everything out forever and ever, particularly in that track you mentioned. I don't know, maybe I should give his work more listens now I'm accustomed to more 'atypical of stereotype' music.
  9. I listened to Hvis Lyset Tar Oss and I felt like I was being sentenced to death by boredom. Maybe I just don't get Burzum.
  10. Jex Thoth's Jex Thoth. Psychedelic doom metal. The last.fm description puts it as Amon Duul II meets Black Sabbath, and I think I would agree. Also, the singer has a really calming voice. [yt]GzOLCBB2v2A[/yt]
  11. Great thanks, what about you? Where've you been, you just suddenly stopped coming in chat/msm :( MSN decided to be a [bleep], but I think I just managed to re-add you.
  12. It's pretty much Black Sabbath worship from start to finish (even the title is a play on one of Sabbath's). Sacramentum's Far Away From the Sun. The atmosphere of this album is really great. You can really feel the ever-so-cliché black metal frosty landscapes and vast forests.
  13. I like some of his ambient stuff and the BM stuff is pretty cool too. I don't really consider him a favorite anymore though, although I do like the songs My Journey to the Stars and War. edit: dude Sigh is awesome. duuuude. I like Filosofem, but I think he's a really overrated artist. Some of his songs just seem to pointlessly go on forever. Yeah. Hangman's Hymn made me want to get into black metal more.
  14. Burzum is really not that good.

    Today...

I don't exactly eat much but I often wake up fatter than I was the day before.
  16. I love you man. ;D Who could forget Wolves in the Throne Room too? Hipster black metal, sure, but Two Hunters is awesome. Also, probably the greatest song to ever come out of the genre: [yt]4B6az2nciSU[/yt] I can't go into how much I love Sigh without hitting fanboy overdrive. Just get Imaginary Sonicscape, Gallows Gallery, and Hangman's Hymn: Musikalische Exequien and be prepared to have your minds ****ing blown.
  17. I used to know a guy who could nail every character in almost every series ever. Good times were had.
  18. Hey we haven't spoken in ages. How's it going?
  19. Intestine Baalism's Banquet in the Darkness. A band that warri0r would probably enjoy if he hasn't checked them out already.

I spent about a year doing that, and I'm only just recovering from it. I'm starting to be disgusted by things I used to find funny. Also, Smartprice chocolate is VILE. Seriously, that stuff is the devil's work. Give me some Bournville anyday. At 27p a bar it isn't vile! If I were to fork out for proper chocolate, at the rate I eat it I LITERALLY would be homeless. It's really good You have a point there. I barely eat chocolate. Also, how can you eat as much chocolate as you claim to and not be fat? (I assume you're not)
  21. Summoning's Minas Morgul is a badass black metal album. Also, Sacramentum's Far Away from the Sun and Vinterland's Welcome My Last Chapter.
  22. That's pretty true dude.
  23. BLACK METAL IS MY LIFE. Also, Sigh is my favourite black metal band.
  24. I LOVE YOU JESAS KARAIST John Zorn's Naked City.
