Just saying, your new avatar... is bloody terrifying. Have fun at the film, though. Also, congratulations to you and everyone else. It is? ... but I made the t-shirt the exact colour of the moderator name colour! Also thank you :) Granted, I didn't notice that. It's a lot less creepy now. You're welcome.
If you're in the audience-unnerving mood, make sure you contrast with the song. For example, be gazing at your shoes during lively songs and jumping around like a hyperactive bunny during quiet numbers. Or you could be like Boredoms and just jump around everywhere anyway.
Good to see motW and Alamaailman Vasarat. Käärmelautakunta is also my own favourite by them. Everyone seems to love Vaasaraasia more though... Just a note: there are a select few bands in the same sort of style as BtBaM - most notably English mathcore band SikTh. Can't say I'm too much of a fan, (in fact, I think they're rather uninspired and forgettable) but they could be worth checking out if you're interested in something similar.
I don't particularly get into trouble with my parents, but the recent thing they don't like is the fact I've had to put my foot down to stop them treating me like I'm still eleven. It's working, though.
When I was about 5 or 6, I took judo. However, I was a very weird kid and ended up being thrown out of the classes for some reason I don't really remember. Later on, I took up Taekwondo. I did that for about a year or so and became fairly proficient in it, but I think I quit when I moved house last.
The Band Apart's album Alfred and Cavity. Mellow jazz rock type stuff. It would be more apt to listen to this when it wasn't raining, but it's a good listen anytime.
Yeah. That's really my only criticism - not doom enough. Neurosis' Through Silver in Blood does the whole apocalyptic thing better than FoE, but I do think that FoE is definitely the more consistent band out of the two. Neurosis jump genres far too much, to be honest - and they're not necessarily good at all of them. They should've stuck to crafting brilliant sludge albums. However, The Eye of Every Storm is good sludgy post-rock. I'm glad that this band is well-received here. They seem to be fairly under-appreciated (but that may be more to do with the nature of their music than anything else) and deserving of more listeners. Do look out for a band called Æsahættr. I'm told that it's a new project by some members of FoE, what with the impending breakup and all.
Fall of Efrafa's album Inlé. This is the second time I've listened to this album in the course of the last couple of days. I thought it was amazing the first time, but it's actually beyond amazing. This is as good as it gets for the genre.
Recently, I discovered Fall of Efrafra. Their music sounds as if Envy met sludge-era Neurosis - but that doesn't really say much. Ground-shattering riffs, forced vocals and beautiful ambient passages put this band in a leage of their own. One of their labels has put their latest album Inlé up for free download. You can also stream it on the page if you so please. http://www.denovali.com/fallofefrafa/ Republic of Heaven is a beautiful song.
The whole of Fall of Efrafa's album Inlé. Even though it's about Watership Down essentially, I can't help but feel that those earthquake-inducing riffs and forced vocals are the perfect soundtrack to an epic battle.
Maybe it's just because I'm used to it and don't really think much of it as a result. I'm not interested in relationships or anything related, mind, and thus know very little.
It's not that damn weird. Guys date younger girls. Fact of life. And also, I didn't think anything happened, nor did the relationships even last long. I don't follow my friends' every relationship moves.
