I Dedicate D Chord by toddle. You can hear a bit of NUMBER GIRL in this, but it's more upbeat and noisy than they were. It's not surprising considering this band was formed by NUMBER GIRL's guitarist.

They have a couple of subdued shoegaze elements and they try to bring that into their radio-friendly indie pop. They'll never ever be able to stand up to the big boys. Shoegaze for kids :P Shoegaze and bands such as Sonic Youth were the things that told me there was good music outside of heavy metal, so it's kinda special to me. I like my shoegaze to be really loud and noisy typically, but some of the more dream-pop stuff is fine also. The only shoegaze band I've ever found to be boring is lovesliescrushing. The album I listened to by them just seemed to drag on and on and it had nothing at all redeeming about it except for shameless My Bloody Valentine worship, if you can actually term that as redeeming.

Adio made a thread on this a while back, but it went to the depths of MM&T hell. So, shoegaze. If you don't know what shoegaze is, here's a little overview: I found out about shoegaze last year. I heard My Bloody Valentine, and to be honest, my mind was blown. From there, I got into bands such as Slowdive and Cocteau Twins, and after that I found Pale Saints, Asobi Seksu, School of Seven Bells, Ride, and LSD and the Search for God. More recently, I've been exploring the Japanese scene with bands such as Hartfield, toddle, Coaltar of the Deepers, school food punishment, Luminous Orange, Cruyff in the Bedroom, and Supercar to name but a few. Some of you may be wondering what shoegaze sounds like. Never fear! I have some examples of bands I like: [hide=Shoegaze examples][yt]v-vzlWnGwNY[/yt] [yt]-M5iOmYjOLE[/yt] [yt]caNiBPQuhx8[/yt] [yt]jxue5FAmew4[/yt] [yt]MOnfHDBW7SA[/yt][/hide] I think shoegaze is a wonderful genre of music, but we could do without the crappy revival bands such as Snow Patrol. Even though they were alright at first.

Luminousorangesuperplastic by Luminous Orange. This is drawing me ever so close to buying a Fender 85, a Fender Mustang, and delay, reverb and fuzz pedals.

Overplayed and overhyped, but not overrated. Not in any way. Damn kids.

He Has Left Us Alone but Shafts of Light Sometimes Grace the Corner of Our Rooms... by A Silver Mt. Zion. I saw deathdrow listening to this and I was talking about them with a friend today. I forgot how unbelievably tragic and sad this album is.

Fates Warning! -
To be fair to Gallade, I did say I was done and that we're moving on. It pays to pay attention to those with green names, you know. I barely watch anime anymore, so yeah. I have nothing to "move on" with.

That's not owning. That's just stating it as it is. Also, to answer your question: no. I avoid customer support unless it's absolutely necessary. It's just much less of a hassle that way.

This list is one of the most consistently awesome ones that's been posted. Oh, and Pink Floyd. You're awesome. They've been one of my favourite bands for a long while.

You ought to stop double-posting, that's bad. THANK YOU. I even posted about it a while back. If I catch someone double-posting again, I'm just going to assume it's a +1 post and treat it as such. Last warning, people.

Oh, hey man. I wondered if you were actually gonna join or not. Hymn to the Immortal Wind by MONO. Was talking to Azvareth about how great this band is a couple of days ago, and that made me want to listen to them again.

Thanks everyone. -
I for one welcome differing opinions. This thread is too much of the same thing. I think people who don't like anime have as much right to say they don't like it as the people who love it say that they do like it. Don't take it out on innocent bystanders. This is your first and final warning. I'm afraid I can't do that, but I'm done now anyway. Moving on for real now guys. :-w

I would say achieving what you set out to do with your life will make most people attain true happiness; be it in the form of good results, getting the job you wanted to get... I don't know, anything that you've accomplished. Something like that happened with me last year. I was elated for at least a week.

Then go post your Anti-Anime crap somewhere else because I don't wanna see it. I would watch your tone if I were you. At least I didn't call him names. That's beside the point. You're acting like an idiot by attacking someone because they don't like anime. So what if the guy doesn't? Lots and lots of people don't like anime. This thread is for anime discussion and that poster had all the right to say that. There was zero anti-anime sentiment in the post that you quoted. So yeah, watch it; and don't dig yourself into a hole.

Can't really say I'm a big Demons & Wizards fan, even though I really love Blind Guardian and Iced Earth. That song Heaven Denies is pretty good though.

Welcome to Sky Valley by Kyuss. Chug chugga chug.

The removal was clearly unwarranted. Nobody even broke any rules, so yeah. Someone needs to lighten up. I have thus spaketh. You guys are owed an apology.

I used to be a pretty ballin' Jin player back in the day. Always preferred Virtua Fighter over Tekken, though.

I only know metal, sorry. You could give Porcupine Tree a try, though.

Sing the Word Hope in Four-Part Harmony by Maybeshewill. Taken from the title song (worth a read): [hide=]"We are young, confident, affluent, and have no memory of tougher times. Weve grown up in an era of never ending financial growth, and have expected things to stay that way. Weve grown up in owner occupied homes with total acceptance of technology, global warming and terrorism. Our whole society has been based on consumerism for the past 15 years, making us dream consumers, yet we dont know the difference between a credit card and a debit card, and we have no idea how much a pint of milk costs. On average we have 800 illegally downloaded songs, and 1 on 8 of us spends more than 100 pounds a month on our mobile phone bill. Weve never read a newspaper, and weve never used our chance to vote. We allow our governments to make decisions without giving us all the facts. They send troops abroad who will die in order that we can steal resources from the people who have them. People who meant us little or no harm until we invaded their country. We allow those troops to commit horrendous atrocities and hang our alleged enemies for much less. Weve spent years entrusting our futures to our parents, our governments, the banks and the corporations who have continually lobbied for their own interests, and weve let them make selfish decisions that have left our society teetering on the edge of ruin. Were blinded from the information that would really shock us by stories of sex and sleeze which doesnt make the smallest difference to our lives, and so we have no desire to do anything about the things that really do. Weve watched as greed wipes billions of the worlds stock markets, destroys jobs and lives, and proves that capitalism is just as corruptible by human nature as communism. These are tough times but we seek solace in our friends and Co-Conspirators, we make small differences in each others lives, and dream that we can make real progress."[/hide]
