Hate to be a buzzkill but I think this thread is just going to turn into everyone reiterating the same points ad-nauseum. Everything that needs to be said has been said and it's pretty much gonna descend into a flamefest from what I've read of the above posts. If you have any problems, PM me. Consider this locked.

One riff to rule them all... A Tribe Called Quest's The Low End Theory.

Quite a few of these classic bands are being thrown in with the nu-metal boybands, so it seems.

Machine Head is by far the most offensive band on that poster. Everything else I can tolerate.

Why would anyone want to go that far to bring someone else down. It happened to one of my classmates too, but I never gave my other classmates enough information about me that they could use to take the piss apart from MMOs and anime, but they always commented on those in real life rather than on the Internet. I wonder how annoying/depressing it is to find something like that. It is annoying but you get used to crap like that, kind of. I know most people get bullied at some point in school, I'm just a prime target for it. I don't care about what I look like, I don't go out on the weekend, I don't have popular friends, I have weird interests (that they know very little about), I made YouTube videos. I'm just happy I've managed to keep the fact I cosplay hidden for the moment :? I don't think anyone can get used to it. You get better at not taking it to heart, but get used to it? Nope. British schools are brutal places, although I thought college would be better to be honest. I don't see why you'd label yourself as a prime target - the things you mentioned aren't weird, really. Unless you're one of those people who are absolutely intolerable in real life, it doesn't really make sense to me. I'm pretty much like that too and nobody really bothered me much. That said, I come from a very nice part of the UK so the differences could be a regional thing. Also, I went to private school but the kids are pretty much the same - they just have more money. Now I've confused myself. Super going, SilverSword. Today I broke Windows, so I reinstalled it. I then scratched my head as to why my USB keyboard was unresponsive when I tried to boot into my Windows disk, so I used my old PS/2 one. My stepdad says there's probably some option in the BIOS for USB stuff, so I'll take a look later. Windows feels awesome on a fresh install. ^^

I always thought of it as progressive metal. The atrocious production on that album is enough to make anyone think that it's more black metal though. Black metal Sigh is Hail Horror Hail and related. I need to try and get into it. The special low frequency version is mind-blowing if you turn the volume up loud enough.

5'10", 170lbs / 12 stone 2 pounds / 77kg. I'm way fitter than I look. Probably not as much as the really athletic people here, but certainly moreso than people like to believe.

Post HC is close to screamo I really don't think Fugazi sounds anything like Raein, or I Hate Myself, or Saetia... Also, please cut back on the double posting. There's an edit button if you need to make any minor alterations. who double posted??l guss did. Not the first time I've seen him/her/whatever do it either. Speaking of post-hardcore, this is a marvellous split: I actually like the Thursday side more than the Envy side. :

Put me at either the start of row 2 or row 3. Don't mind which.

The new Gory Blister album Graveyard of Angels is great. Tech death from Italy; nothing particularly original but they're very fun to listen to. Recommended to fans of Gorod and Anata.

How is Sea Kittens coming along? I've been meaning to play the game but I never got around to it. I'll probably wait until the series is finished and watch it then. Lots of character development :3 Nice! Aria needs to have more episodes like the one in the first season where Akari meets that woman on the 'other side' of Neo-Venezia. Watching the water come through was easily one of the greatest moments in that season.

Winamp is okay. I use foobar2000 though, for pretty much the same reasons sloter said about Winamp. The 'sort by folder' library view foobar has is really useful.

I'm gonna start watching Aria the Natural today. Better have a lot of Alice.
-
Gorod's Leading Vision. Okay. This album is a MASTERPIECE.

There are only maybe two things: - Get some of my music recorded. Be it a home recording, a proper studio recording, whatever. - Acquire and read through the Kokin Wakashu. I really love Japanese poetry. Both are quite feasible.

Hey! Godspeed You! Black Emperor is awesome!

Today was a pretty meh day to be honest. Had to go into school to complete my GCSE science... Needless to say, I went in expecting a couple of 20 minute papers. When I got there, my science teacher said "oh, we won't be finishing until 3!". So I had an unexpected long day. Now I'm just relaxing and such.

Oh, I forgot to add that I always feel that either the world is against me or that everyone just plain hates me. Of course, neither are true. It's a weird feeling. It's probably not so much paranoia as it is the vast amounts of time that I spend on my own, though.

: Did you like Naked City? I thought it was awesome.
-
Blind Guardian's Imaginations From the Other Side. I forgot how relentless and aggressive this band was in their early years. Shame about the last two albums they put out though.

A great album. As a matter of fact I think I checked it out after I saw you say it was one of your favourites. I maintain that Kali has the best outro I've ever heard in music. Bonus points for the bass solo along with guitar solos. I think !T.O.O.H.! is probably my favourite death metal band. Iced Earth's Burnt Offerings.

I'm not really paranoid, but I do tend to occasionally bridge negative sequences together and predict the worst possible outcomes. Also, speaking of personality types, INFJ here.
