  1. if the ad isnt in full view for as long as they would have been paying for, then the companies will pay less, reducing the amount of money they get, meaning f2p will slowly die.
  2. lol no. jagex have a rule to stop people hiding the ads if you didnt know. my brother got muted for saying the anti virus software he uses to block adverts. if you dont want ads, get members. simple as.
  3. jagex do not rely on sources such as banks to obtain income. the only reason they may start charging more for members is because of the increasing prices of electricity. however i doubt that from the £3m a month they get from members, that this will happen anytime soon. answered your question? ^.^
  4. people have to pay to post on the rs forums, do they complain about it? oh no, because they are also getting a much larger version of the game. click ads give very little money compared to the amount paid by membership every month. if they made rune stuff coinshareable, isnt that just the point of this topic? of being able to split the amount gained by a rune drop between all members of the team. seriously, i think it needs to be reworked. also i was f2p a few months ago, was bored as .... so i decided to pay for members. am i regretting paying that £3.20? no, because i am getting updates im not even going to use in the near future, but will be there when i need something to do.

okay now we can stop arguing? lol and yes i never said summoning wasnt useful though... oh and i have seen enough immaturity to last me a long time.

go to duel arena and gwd, then you will see plenty of people who train summoning, calling others noobs. if someone was meant to tank and screwed up then by all means it is fair they are called a noob. by saying all people who train summoning arent whiney babies, is also ignorant. just because someone trains a skill does not mean their personalities are different to another person who trains a different skill. so don't say that when you dont know people. incorrect. summoners are not all noobs in my opinion, nor are they more worthy of respect than any other. some of the best (as in personality, guide writers, helpful in general people) are summoners. but some arent which could really apply to any skill. but i have been to duel arena and faced many of 120s who weren't challenging to kill for the fact that they have something like 70 summoning (by far a good level and also an expensive one), but if they can summon something good then why not use it? if someone i face wants to allow summoning, i still accept because i want a hard fight. the familiars make it slightly harder to much harder depending on which one. by the way you proved your an idiot, by being unable to read what i wrote correctly and argue about stuff that i never even said in the first place. oh and level 63 summoning the best (cb lvl wise) familiar is a spirit cobra lvl 105, whereas im 116. so a level 105 cobra is stronger than me?

perhaps if i cut it down for you, you might understand that i was not calling people who train summoning up, noobs: by faked i mean they have raised their combat up around 9 levels from summoning to around level 120, when they actually have the stats of a 111, and then start calling lvl 115s, that havent raised summoning up, noobs. note the part where i said people who raise summoning up, call those who dont raise summoning up noobs. I did not call people who train summoning up noobs. and as is put, they have the right to train a skill without being called a noob, so why cant some people not train summoning and not be called noobs? it is also only a minority of those who train summoning up, that call those who dont train summoning up noobs. i also said half the people in gwd ..... does this mean that i said everyone in gwd fakes their cb? no. you may have missed that, but if you look at the original quote, i said half, not all. back on topic: the reaosn it happens mostly in bandos is because a lot of the rs population can actually go there, compared to sara.

You just showed that you're an example of "Ignorance of Players" by saying people faked their combat level using summoning. Think about that. They can summon things that ARE STRONGER THAN YOU. thats not showing a players ability. thats showing an ability to get an npc to be better than a player, which is fair enough, but half the people i have met at gwd/duel arena, dont use summoning/dont enable it. so what is the point of it, if you dont use it? i also did not say that everyone who raised their combat level with summoning, is faking their combat.
  9. i would like to be able to find out when i actually joined. i know i joined around the end of november / start of december 2007 (because i dont remember ever seeing anyone pking in the wilderness).

i usually go to zammy, even though you get less kills and less valuable drops. off topic: however in my case the more competent dont usually go to zammy: i was standing at the door of zammy waiting for my team to get their kc. so when the second person in the team gets the kc, we have a talk, whilst waiting for the rest. stupid me takes off my zgs (had no other zammy item on, but had a zammy stole in my inv) and suddenly i see my hp fall quickly. i managed to survive (luckily).

    1. anyone you go with in a team to gwd, will almost always have very high ls points. meaning that anyone who does not do much gwd/bosses will have very little chance of receiving any drops whatsoever. 2. if you are tanking right then the most bandos should be able to hit is around 40 from range (usually people pray melee when tanking) 3. half of the people who do gwd have 'faked' their combat using summoning to look stringer than they are. by faked i mean they have raised their combat up around 9 levels from summoning to around level 120, when they actually have the stats of a 111, and then start calling lvl 115s, that havent raised summoning up, noobs. also some people who play the game are just jerks.
  12. i have quite a poor setup myself (zgs, torag helm, torag body, fury, regen bracelet, d boots, d legs, warrior ring and atk cape), but i have all the parts for a reason. The d legs not only match the cape i wear, but also give more melee def bonus than a pair of tassets (which i can afford). saying you have d legs to look less poor is not an excuse to have them. they have better defence bonuses, which is the main reason why anybody would use them. ps. from the original post about $20 on a shirt, i recently paid £35 for a t shirt (around $60), on top of which i paid £20 postage and packaging (making the t shirt around $90 in total cost). thats fine for me because i wanted it and it looks good. but not everyone will be willing to spend that on a t shirt. (note i also spent around $40 on 1 pair of boxers #-o )
  13. thats what i thought when i first read it, but the topic is about manipulators not solo merchants. anyone who can solo merchant without buying an item out, is fine by me.
  14. my first (and currently only) 99 was/is attack 1st: Money- already had all the weapons, just a lot of food/pots needed 2nd: Time- i have college and a lot of studying that i have to do, but i wasnt bothered about howlong it took. 3rd: Power- got it so i can kill tougher monsters easier and wield the almighty gs =P 4th: Rarity- around 40k people have it, so wasnt too bothered. 5th: Real life- i like accuracy (good with target practice) but am not so good with a bow and arrow (hence my almughtily low range) 6th: Just Liking the skill- liked the whip and the ability to win more duels by hitting more often 7th: Competition- cant really see anyone to compete with.
  15. this topic is about price manipulators not ge merchants. anyone who can do solo merching is fine in my books, but those who have such little talent as to have to get around 100 people to help them make money, is who this thread is aimed at.
  16. this is one result of the new updates: acidys cc died... =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> ps: sorry for the double post. and just found out that m o o p e t is the cc that they have moved to.
  17. as more people were able to kill the monsters it was guaranteed that the value of slayer exclusive drops was going to decrease. it is fun as it is, and with the right setup you can probably camp at abyssal demons for triple whips. oh and boss hunting can make you more money, but it can also make you a lot less as well.
  18. it heals twice the hp in the same amount of time. it also was given combat stats in a reent updates and gives +8 to all attack bonuses except mage whihc is +3. +6 to all def bonuses, except mage which again is +3. and +7 str bonus. bringing it to arond the adamant glove level in bonuses, but with the added effect of healing hp faster (useful against pretty much any boss in rs tbh)
  19. the creator of this thread clearly has no idea what he is talking about. Jagex do what a business would do, and to prove that they are right in their fight with rwt, ebay also decided not to allow the sale of game items/accounts on their auction site. why? because 'gold farms' were created to get all the rare items then sell them for cash. [hide=]you want to say another mmo is better? go to the section that isnt the rs section then and quit your whining. this topic has joined a long line of other topics that all decided to board: [/hide]
  20. the first item i heard of this happening to is obviously the gs's and how someone was complaining they couldnt buy more than 10 of them (for what reason other than price manipulation?). i assume it applies to things over 1m, but it may be higher or lower.
  21. i think the update only applies to things over a certain value, so i think most of the alching stuff is still buyable at 100 every 4 hours.
  22. well with the new updates came a very useful piece of information, which they did silently, but i will explain why it helps: the max amount of armour pieces that can be bought is 10 per 4 hours. this now means that merchants cannot completely strangle the supply of an item. so even those who just want to play the game can now actually get hold of the items they need instead of having to wait a few hours or pay a ridiculously high price for it. the price manipulators will need a lot more power than they currently have and it will also take longer and will be more obvious to Jagex who can then take steps to stop price manipulation. So in a sentence: thankyou very much jagex, now i can actually get hold of items. debate away on whether you think the silent update is good. oh and i forgot to add that the most of any equipment item that someone would really buy is 2 at the same time, because you can only lend one item out, so one for you and one for a friend.
  23. also people could compete with others to kill the most of a certain monster first....
  24. i would like to point out that the rs economy is very unstable at this point in time. having an item mall would make it even harder to get items as people would charge cash for those rare and new items, or those that very few people can make atm. so no, definetly not a good idea.
