Refer a Friend Programme - 18 Aug 2011
If it's so painful then introduce starter classes where what you pick during the character creation will have +10 to a related skill instead of having the options be mere salad dressing. EDIT: Hah, yes.

Refer a Friend Programme - 18 Aug 2011
I'm more amused at the idea of boost-capping the referred account at level 30 on all skills. So that's Jagex's idea of "catching up."

The F2P General Discussion Thread
Being banned is enough conclusive proof. What more do you need, sleuthing and drama a la z6z6-is-a-bot style?

It's probably just schadenfreude.

I don't think that's it. Either way, he's gone. That's that, tough luck.

Botting in Runescape
Hasn't the person who stole that gotten their account banned already? EDIT: Bots in there just make it easier to win. From what I saw the majority of bots pile the yellow team. Just have your friends and whatever clan reigns there now spam green.

Behind the Scenes - August
You forgot the part where they have to spend hours and hours if not days or gods forbid weeks to get all the rewards. More like 15 minutes. All the more reason to expect nothing. That way you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Congratulations on your first 99, Sonic.

Behind the Scenes - August
Heh, a slip of the tongue on Jagex's part. Oops. To those wondering about the runecrafting robes - don't hold your hopes up. Think back to the many times Jagex has been vague about a piece of content that might relate to F2P. Unless they explicitly state "for all players" or "free to play and member alike" then basic rule of thumb is to assume it's members only. You lot wouldn't want to play in the official world anyhow for a real game of GOP, it's one of the more profitable gold farms on F2P.

18-Jul-2011 - Cryptic Clue Fest 3 - UPDATED WITH ALL ANSWERS
It's an obvious promotion drive for the citadel update. I'm enjoying the outrageous markups for the items, it's peanuts but a pretty penny is a pretty penny.

Ha ha I lolled
I know for a fact this existed: 14-15-484-62703412 QFC Thread is long gone now. This was about unlocking more console commands.

Why they take on 4 projects that will hit them in the payroll at all?

When? Great Orb Project auto-win glitches are the clearest ones I can remember. Took like an entire year and a half for it to be fixed. EDIT: a portion of it still exists. There's also the dungeoneering experience glitch that certainly took a while to be half-fixed as it is now.

And they bragged about it in their forums. The developer console hack isn't fixed.
-
05-Jul-2011 - Salt in the Wound
It happened a few months back. April at the least. EDIT: And before I forget, there was also the developer console unlock hack. Using the zoom function for a superior line of sight, anyone?

To add to the gamebreaking glitches: There was at least one group that purposely crashed a server only to have an entire farm of servers go down a while back. They used the noclip glitch, I think.

It's the little things added up all together that can break your impression of the game over time.
-
05-Jul-2011 - Salt in the Wound
Neat. We're all talking about QA and now the game crashes. Go figure.

That's beside the point. This is what he said.

Let's say you got 500k experience back in the day. Someone who abuses the glitch could get something along the lines of 1m or 2m a day, 2m being an extreme I'm not altogether sure of. There was also one that's been mentioned in F2P allowing people to complete a floor in under a minute for good exp.

Gamebreakers? Mu glitch, where some altcode letter crashed people out. Runecrafting glitch in dungeoneering. Noclip bug abuse. Penguins glitch giving players a lot of points. Dungeoneering experience glitch in all its forms. Still exists, I think. EDIT: Oh yes, there was also the climbing boots one. Not much of a bug but more along the lines of how they handled it by brushing off how people didn't hoard much of it.

[DevBlog] Clan Citadels
What if the clan rings are non-tradeable? Can't be abused then.

If you mean those who voted no weren't the majority, then true. It was irresponsible either way to have done the petition in the manner they chose. The way they did it assured an overwhelming yes - with the caveat they could handle bots. Post #166? "These are the incidents that have caused a row in the recent past and will continue to cause a row if updates similar in nature are released by Jagex." If you mean to say it has an F2P bias, then sure. But it's not F2P exclusive. Tell Jagex to stop pumping out updates with bad quality assurance. EDIT: Learn to use better analogies that have little chance of personal impact or flame material.

5.) Some fools rigged bots to harvest names off the highscores and vote for it even if you were the type inclined to vote no. The petition was a poll itself anyway. Yes, it was an advertising blitz. 7.) That was a list about recent things that have caused trouble. I didn't put anything in it that bluntly said F2P-exclusive troubles only. Sometimes I wonder if Blauynte or however you spell her name was right about Jagex jumping the shark on some update. Your earlier posts already riled up Kimberly going on about Big Macs.
