You're called Dave? :D Hahahaha, no-- Its just that its a reference to the artificial intelligence from 2001: A Space Odyssey. An artificial intelligence that for some reason becomes ominous and unfriendly is scary to me. I'd like very much not to blow my chances at befriending another form of sentience. Becoming enemies will be... stupid, and counter to the great goal of uniting all intelligence under a common flag. Ahem. Anyway.

Condemned 2: Bloodshot. Got it for 7 Kuwaiti Dinars--about 25 dollars. Its amazing. I love first-person melee combat. Reminds me so much of the Chronicles of Rid[bleep], which I too cannot wait to get.

Knights of The Old Republic revelation scene. If you've played it, you know what I'm talking about. If you haven't, don't ask and go play it! Freaking everything about Mass Effect was epic... And in Halo 3, when you reach the Ark. That scene is just ridiculous, especially if you had no idea what was coming.

Using pain is so crude. Brain scans and associative tests using pictures and ideas as well as fragments of speech--that's something I can get behind. Would yield quite a lot of truth, unless you were dealing with a Buddhist monk who has supreme control over his feelings. Hell, once we figure out the connection between memories and dreams we can just intercept visual signals in the brain and display a person's life on screen--all while he or she sleeps. Right now all the visions created by the minds eye and harnessed by our devices are in 8-bit, though. We'll get there. Something tells me you will all fear the thought police more than these primitive torturers though. Sometimes sophistication that can target you is a great deal more frightening than barbarism that harms others.

I used to be like that until I realized nonconformity is the new conformity. Conforming so that you wont conform to the masses of the nonconforming is simply the second stage of unwilling conformity. On a large enough scale, we're all the same. You already acknowledged this. I just rephrased it in a way that made me seem unique. Even though I am not.

You've described the common constituents found in almost any typical television show minus the outer space theme. In fact, even Ben Ten fits under that. :| Also, lightsabers and the force.

What on earth is cool about Star Wars? The moral lessons imparted. The insane conflicts spanning worlds and ideologies. The simplistic story-telling, based on archetypes we all associate with. Stars Wars is ridiculously cool.

Sound can be directed. Think a large megaphone. With the opening made adjustable according to the size of the group you are trying to kill. Low intensity sound that isn't directly aimed at you might just make your teeth clatter.

Lets just capture zombies, tie their limbs to electromagnets and coils, and let them generate power for us.

If a base has been assembled... Sonic cannons set to match the resonance of bone with average porosity. Aim, fire, watch as zombies melt into still-living clumps of quivering muscle. We need tech! Who here is an expert at engineering and acoustics? Though without a permanent base and a generator (hand-pumped, if need be), such an effort would be fruitless.
