23 October 2007 - Hallowe'en Event - For ALL
Its really starting to get sickening, this whole thread, and the amount of whining in it and bickering, blaiming of others etc. Just sickening..

ITs nice to see the Bot problem is being taken care of....
While people are busy complaining about the presence of autoers, we should take the time out to think about one thing. That thing being that on the top lists there are virtually no autoers. Surely there are some but they don't get much time to exist on the highscores, which is I might say one of the most important things to many players, who would rather compare themselves to another human char, and not a mechanism. So needless to say , we should be thankful for the effort jagex puts into it. Its not like we are the only ones aware of this problem. And seeing as they are the ones who get rid of the autoers whilst we sit on out flat rumps complaining, we should give them higher recognition.

But as opposed to the US, Jagex takes further precautions after banning. I know of many programs that are of no use anymore in RS, since Jagex has counter-programs to catch macroers. As far as I've heard the next precaution the US is taking is just allowing a sort of "home militia", enabling every Tom [bleep] and Harry to shoot at border runners.

Has F2P gone down hill?
That would be pretty interesting. Make them require a unique email too, and you might just eliminate some lazier macroers too. Before both of you started playing everyone who signed up for RS did it by email. It turned out to be a bad idea.

Whats happened to tip it?
You make that sound like my attitude is wrong. That's actually near enough exactly what I'm saying. You should always walk a mile in someone else's shoes before judging them. As -devoted- mentioned before, I'd have thought this week's Tip.It Times would have opened people's eyes to that key skill. I know what your point is, but its pretty double standard, seeing as its yourself, and other mods who decide who gets in. And don't tell me that you'll allow every username in this forum to "try to be a mod for 1 day"-. because thats what you're suggesting we try, before we decide to post negative feedback. But by all means give everyone mod access for 24 hours and we'll see who's right.

Do you have your favorite world? and why?
World 52 , its dutch , so relatively close to my country. Although sweden now has their servers (which is even closer) I prefer the dutch people.. they are funner :P

Dumbest mistakes

Whats happened to tip it?
1) You just forgot that the ones who signed up for it wanted to be one didnt you? In other words you're merely saying "only the ones who tried it can speak negative of the way things are done". 2) The mods who posted here seem to have forgot that its not about making the job easier for yourselves. I say this as the locking of many posts was justified with "stickies being easier". 3) The forums are very well controlled I think. For others who haven't been around as long you might be interested in knowing that tip.it has been hacked several times, shut down totally. Spammed with tens upon thousands (literally) of messages. All accounts deleted etc etc. Is tip.it really worse than it was? I don't think so. And some dude said he thinks its gone really really downhill since may 2007 when he joined.. well you haven't even given it time to start improving yet have you? 4) your all lucky i dont post 1 post per minute like i used to i was the only Dragon Slayer (highest post rank)on old tipit forums and that means serious spam 8-)

Should F2P vote for and get Holiday events?
If they let the polls open, then the people who pay for the game, who care enough to give money to the company, should get the say. I don't even care about the event, I did it as soon as it came out, droped the hood, and had fun with the emote. Im arguing that people who pay for the game should vote, even if it doesn't count. Not people who 'free load' their accounts. Lol, who care to give money to the company... ? Don't say that. The previous posts make it more like you, and many other payers DEMAND this, and DEMAND that, because you are payers. p2p gets no say, just because they are paying for members. Members is alot of other things, not the right to win votes.

Should F2P vote for and get Holiday events?
No one cares if you used $200 or $5, the point still stands. And you don't get to decide anything, Jagex does. Even WITH the vote they could choose to make mutant apes which attack you with hypodermic needles for halloween instead, and all you can do is bend over. Don't think $5 a month is going to get you anywhere, after all you are merely RENTING your account.

Should F2P vote for and get Holiday events?
Or p2p could cope with the idea of democracy , and stop wanting to all be pretty little Harry Potters :-w \ Sorry, if you are comparing this to a democracy, then it would be as if you are getting funds from the government and not paying taxes. Honestly, I don't even mind the event, its the fact that a bunch of f2pers who just wanted a hood to drop the week after Halloween decided on what could have been a nice new item. And its not like the hood even matches anything  Getting funds from the government, in the form of social welfare still entitles you the right to vote, and make your impression on the system. Your $5 didn't go to win votes, just for your, and any other peoples information who might be in doubt. You don't pay money to win the vote so stop using p2p vs f2p for an angle of discussion. p.s. I didn't even vote, as I wasn't around the website during the voting period, but I'd like to say it goes very well with my scythe from another holiday event. just as a sidemark to your last comment.

Should F2P vote for and get Holiday events?
In what way? The only thing it did was prove that the hood was the winner by 63 votes, and votes work in a funny way. It goes like this: Most votes win. You don't get to choose between Al Gore or George Bush no matter how close the vote gets either, and that goes for about everything else.

Should F2P vote for and get Holiday events?
Get over it. No one has evidence that it was f2p that rocked the vote. I'd like to see statistics before f2p vs p2p gets brought up in a discussion based on the grounds that some people didn't get their way.

23 October 2007 - Hallowe'en Event - For ALL
Runescapes young people get a taste of what real life voting somewhat resembles. There is only one solution in this situation and it is: GET OVER IT. The votes have been legitimately cast, and since JAGEX decided it should be an event for both free players and members, both have just as much to say, regardless of what you might think of f2p'ers.

Has F2P gone down hill?
If more ppl go to p2p because they think f2p stinks, and/or cannot cope with the so-called "newbie" environment thats fine with me. I'll just be all the more l33t on f2p servers 8-)
