Not counting void and specials the melee max hit equation and the ranged max hit equation are the same A 99 ranger with a +100 strength weapon will hit the same as a meleer with 99 strength and +100 strength bonus. The boosting prayers apply as well. As do potions (ranged potion is equivalent to a regular strength potion)

You know it is the same as melee right? Transfers directly over. All you needed to dow as get rid of the extra melee prayers and make the interface reflect ranged. No equation changing.

I need to confront this. I can't just push it away. It feels like a huge weight on my shoulders, the skeleton in my closet... helps to talk about it though. And I have a pet cat, I love her dearly (innocent though), and that's the most meaningful relationship I have, despite being a part of a good family. I kind of feel like I'm betraying my family and friends by not developing meaningful relationships with them. There isn't anyone I talk to about this sort of thing, I talk money and politics pretty much exclusively even with my own parents... Heh, I can only imagine what a bigger mess I'd be if I didn't have the ability to anonymously talk about this on the internet. Even with that outlet I still have a foolish desire to shout it out to the world #-o. I could never do it though. Everything to lose, nothing to gain.

Lol, you wouldn't get flamed. Hell if I haven't (yet...) you sure as hell wont be. I don't believe in god myself but I think spiritual guidance would be helpful. Unfortunately I'm a realist and my logic fails to see how the existence of a deity is possible. Thank you for the advice anyway. Even though you may not have helped too much, at least you have a coping mechanism. EDIT: to avoid a double post, I just want to add, in response to a lot of this thread, that I am not planning to commit suicide or give up on life any time soon. However I do feel I've hit a wall and can't continue on like I want to (some very exciting years of my life lie ahead) without confronting this issue before it starts to define me as a person. I know this is a part of who I am but I don't want my status as a zoo to consume the rest of me.

Wow... That's crazy. Shoulda got a propane camp stove to keep the car warm...
