^ Think they have to limit port score because if they release new regions, people could just automatically unlock them if they're well travelled enough. Where are your jade merchants Also I thought that if you switch between the same tier of port buildings, you actually need to pay to rebuild to the previous one? For example building a Luxurious bar, then a Nautical bar, then a Luxurious bar again would cost 9000 wood and 15000 jade.

Did Asherz specifically say he was going to change the requirement? Thought he just asked for Castle Wars suggestions that didn't include changing the trim requirement :P

RuneScape: Old and New
I can assure you that every SoF/SGS release has people buying spins/coins, which is a pretty much guaranteed source of revenue. A 2006 server may not be. It's very much going to be our problem if resources diverted towards it are taken from the main game, reducing customer support, technical development and game content. I don't think you quite grasp the magnitude of moving off the SoF/SGS team, which despite the ridiculous updates it churns out, actually turns probably the biggest buck for Jagex, and dumping them into a project that is very, very risky. E: The EoC ultimately allowed them to re-tier everything, allowing them breathing room to release even more high-end gear (level 90+) without it being drastically overpowered (e.g. chaotics pre-Nex), which in turn allows for more high-levelled updates and extended life for the game. And don't forget the SoF/SGS updates that will inevitably follow these.

Might want to wait on building totems until Mod Edam rolls out any changes he's planned for them.

RuneScape: Old and New
An update every 2 hours or a much wider update margin on new items would be a lot better, I'd guess. I remember when summoning was released, most of the raw materials had a 50% margin instead of 5%, which helped especially in the restricted trade era. This would drastically increase the effectiveness of merchanting. Prices would regularly rise and fall drastically during a single day, just to gouge people. I think we'd be better off with the "official" market price shifting more slowly, but full visibility into what other buyers/sellers are doing. Hmm yeah, like if the GE database page could be updated to reflect the actual top and bottom transaction prices for the day, as opposed to the upper and lower margins for an item. Forgotten how merciless margins are :\\

Mod Liono: They didn't fit in with the sense of heroism that we wanted to offer in a quest called 'Demon Slayer'. A comedy hero called Wally felt like a running (and not especially funny) joke, especially in a quest to end a demon-summoner's mad plans to bring about the apocalypse.

FAQ was very disappointing too. Rename him to Wallace, problem solved. So given a chance, they'd rip out the whole ME II or WGS puzzles? I can't wait for this next GM quest, which already has requirements that are a farce to any serious quester.

2800~ for normal voyages, 3500~ for the long ones It's better stats-wise, or it's better because you don't have to jump through hoops to repair it? I wasn't sure which  (I do remember your post about them being effectively the same because of the way defense works, at any rate) It's better because of damage bonuses and because armour doesn't really help at bosses, afaik

Form an alliance with the khan of Khanoka. This should secure our continued access to the area.

Horatio or Anne, probably. I wouldn't specifically aim to hire a captain with the goal of getting 4x of a trait though, especially when captains already have a chance of getting a few traits added to them, which would make it a bit difficult to get a captain with 4 traits you specifically want.

More Pincer storylines, for anyone who hasn't beaten them yet. Hail to the Khan [hide]"The exiled khan, Tubjub, has amassed an army of The Lost Men to invade Hyu-Ji. The island is doomed unless the Convict can meet them with explosives." Word gets to you that Tubjub, the deposed khan, has amassed an army of Lost Men to attack Hyu-Ji, and Marcus meets you over this news. You intend to send a ship out to defend Hyu-Ji, but Marcus knows better; he's been within the Lost Men for a while, and knows that to face them head-on would result in unnecessary deaths. Instead, he recounts a story of his time on Hyu-Ji: the sea orphans would often bring him items - sulphur, charcoal, and sea shells - and Marcus noted that they were always careful to keep them apart. With this in mind, Marcus intends to sail out to meet Tubjub with explosives made from these. Upon completion, the ship returns and your captain mentions to you that the explosives "turned Tubjub and the Lost Men into a fine red mist". Marcus tells you of how the council of Hyu-Ji wish to meet him, and install him as khan of Hyu-Ji, an offer he gladly plans to accept as it will keep him safer from his pursuers, with the other khans of the isles backing him up. Under his leadership, he hopes that the sea orphans will be able to protect themselves, and bids you farewell.[/hide] People are the Deadliest Disease [hide]"A pirate raid is about to arrive at Hyu-Ji island, and the sea orphans are too weak from the plague to fight effectively. It's time to send in the heavies." Bethan discovers who broke into her lab to spread the plague: it was Finia, the sea orphan who she rescued from the Blazing Lanterns. Additionally, he's managed to escape quarantine and has returned to the Clan, which leads Bethan to believe that she had been set up the whole time. Now, three ships of the Blazing Lanterns Clan are sailing from the Pincers towards Hyu-Ji; with the sea orphans too weak to defend themselves, the Biologist joins you on your ship to intercept the pirates with explosives and acid. Upon completion, Bethan returns to tell you that they managed to sink two of the pirate ships, though Finia managed to escape. She reflects on all that's happened, and how she's gained a sense of empathy towards the sea orphans. Bethan realises there's much to be learnt from them; with this in mind, she puts aside her research in favour of spending more time with the sea orphans, protecting them from the myriad threats they face.[/hide] Pulling The Tooth [hide]"Send a ship to attack Pearl Fortress: the Death Lotus headquarters. The Assassin will try to kill Baby Tooth, their leader." Before coming to port, Ling had visted Kirau, her informer, who explained that he betrayed her because Quin threatened to level his village. Out of duty to the traditions of the Death Lotus, Ling executes Kirau. Now she plans to attack the Death Lotus headquarters of the Pearl Fortress, striking them in an attack so brazen that it will hopefully catch them off-guard, and kill Baby Tooth. Upon completion, Ling returns to tell you that Baby Tooth is dead, the Order broken, and that she has claimed vengeance for her hand at last. Though they may regroup, Ling knows that the Death Lotus will no longer pursue her, as is their tradition. She foresees that Quin may also abandon her search for Ling; nonetheless, she vows to hunt down and kill Quin too. She thanks you for your shelter, ships, crew and wisdom, and agrees to be at your disposal.[/hide]

I'm... not sure what that had to do with anything. I was talking about how, being in the pincer, voyages are going to be harder than you can actually get 100% for. And I'm telling you that with a merchant on board and maxed crew you can 100% most missions. Are we... playing the same game here? Are you telling me, you can 100% a 20,000 stat voyage with a merchant on board? The wiki didn't have any specials with req that high. I don't think the wiki has all the information about Pincers yet :P Goods voyage in the Pincers are 20k single, 14.5k double or 10k triple.
