  1. God damn ... at least the splits equalise my losses
  2. I'm scared. My gut doesn't like the look of this. Nothing more to say.
  3. I must build zis totem. 16 scroll pieces atm, just crafted the lotus top.
  4. 4 posts in a row about the same thing @@@ At least this pays back for losses on drygore lol.
  5. I haven't done the update, could you put it in spoiler-tags? That sounds interesting. Where is this book? I searched the place best I could, but only found a stone slab on the first floor... Bookshelf in the Infernal mage section, west side of the 1st (2nd USA) floor.
  6. @Balth, Bar/Workshop upgrades, or save it for when totems are useful? Tested out superior tetsu gear at various places, and it degrades at the same rate (1 minute of degradation for 1 minute in combat stance) regardless of single/multicombat. It's really a 12 hour degrade - it's just that all the other so-called 10/15 hour degrade armours and gear just have much longer lifespans because they run on combat ticks and not combat stance. The most ridiculous was Zaryte bow pre-EoC, which lasted 60,000 attacks (or 50 hours) because of the way it was coded. I think the disappointment is largely because the 12 hours is on a different (but more acccurate!) degrade scale from everything else, and thus it merely pales in comparison :P
  7. ^ That pic of the GE and those armadyl hilt splits, no words :>>>
  8. That's interesting enough, but it doesn't really seem to change much as far as the utility of Obsidian armor. I am however intrigued that there is apparently a way of reading that final bookcase. His hints weren't particularly helpful though... I kept wondering, has anyone tried reading it with solely tzhaar clothing on? So full obsidian, obsidian cape + a weapon? Perhaps if a fury would count as one as well, wear that too =d? Funny you should ask, because I did just that (although with TokHaar-Kal rather than Obsidian Cape) after reading Stu's confirmation. I even bought a Ring of Stone and tried that. Also, despite Stu's saying that the orb was not required, clicking the bookshelf will say that it might be decipherable with it. There's a thread, the QFC of which can be found in the thread that Bruno posted, detailing everything they've tried. It really is amazing that no one's found the solution in months. EDIT incase someone's interested: 20-21-221-64207208 Gugghhhh... now this is going to be stuck in my head until a solution is found  Tried some things (Obsidian shards, bar, tokkul, tokkul-zo, commorb v2, Tzhaar tourist guide, Journal of Perjour), nothing worked. Also none of the dialogue options with any of the TzHaar change with ring of charos, visibility, or cramulet.
  9. You don't repair the superior sets with trade goods, only coins. What's frustrating is not the degradation, as we're all well used to it by now - it's the fact that it degrades on a different scale from Nex armours (even when it appears that Jagex intended for it to last 2 hours longer), and consequently, actually is magnitudes more expensive that Nex armour to maintain. It's as if they don't even know how their own degrade mechanics work.
  10. Is Monday the cute day????? Anyway holy [bleep] I'm dying here Idk where all of these are coming from but they can go on forever and I wouldn't mind @@#!#
  11. Played this game called Last Night on Earth. One of the characters, Jake Cartwright, reminded me of Vezon. Sorry mate.
  12. This degrade system for POP items works in the same way as auras in a sense, in that items degrade as long as they're active (or with combat gear, when they're in combat stance). It makes perfect sense for scrimshaws, because they confer not only combat bonuses, and you can't really quantify active skilling time like combat ticks. I just don't get why they had to use this degrade system with POP combat gear when it'd be perfectly logical to just use the same mechanic already on every other piece of degrading gear in the game.
  13. That went well. TNPW do whatever they want.
  14. Did they not say, however, before that "If you have a slayer task in the tower and get a contract before hand..." Ergo the slayer xp throughout is coming from being on a normal slayer task, not from the contract.
  15. That feeling when the top player, most expectedly, has transcended CapeScape
  16. ((((Base x Jade Totem) x Jade totem) x Jade totem) x Jade Totem) x Jade Merchant Or basically, 104 * 1.3 = 135.2, rounded down to 135. Hope the totems were worth it for ya! Seeing it written out like that made me realize it doesn't matter the order. 1*2*3*4*5 = 120 5*4*3*2*1 = 120 Edited my post before you posted that. But yeah, it rounds down after every multiplication before applying the next. So, literally, the only use those statues have is for that one single 100 spice mission because 1% rounded down only creates a new value for >=100 good missions. It's awful design, and I have to wonder what Jagex was smoking when they thought it out. Was under the impression they were planning to fix them. If not guess I will grind more jade for scroll totems. As far as I know someone reported the jade statues boosting their reward from the Pincers stories by 1 (25 -> 26), so they probably stack?
  17. Hey Tim, Thanks for the submissions! I've added and updated all entries for these items and you've been credited. Thanks for your help!
  18. Also, got lucky on a 60% mission [hide][/hide]
