How can you truly separate a guy playing the game as opposed to a guy playing with the game? If I'm having fun on my slayer task using abilities in the most efficient cycle, does that automatically qualify as the former? Likewise, if I say stuff like "aww yeah" or "boom" when using these abilities (it's fun to say boom on Incendiary Shot, really...) does that automatically qualify as the latter? I guess what I'm trying to distinguish is the line you draw at which playing becomes grinding.

I'm surprised that the Tetsu armour actually came out identical to the concept art, which is much more than can be said for most other pieces of equipment.

The least creepy way to do it is to install a camera in a contact lens so that you don't even look like you're being creepy (or at least you can tell yourself that).

It'd be great for the game if you could have more training methods which are fun, engaging and have variety (such as DG) as opposed to flat-out face to the millstone grinds (agility lol), so we can agree on that point. You also have to acknowledge that perhaps after playing through a grind for a while, it can sometimes become quite fun to you because you start to recognise ways to play it more efficiently (like you're competing with yourself). Surely you've had more fun getting through a Slayer task feeling like you're raining death on your foes as opposed to using momentum and then switching to another window. Sadly, even if Jagex succeeded in producing methods that combatted grind heavily, you can bet that there'd still be people who would bot them anyway. Trying not to be too skewed in this viewpoint.

Given how difficult this task set is (or at least the time investment required), an ancient wand of tier 70 to 75 would have been a completely appropriate reward.

Only body, legs and shield influence your accuracy. Different boots/gloves have different defensive stat spreads, so glaiven boots will have more defence versus magic whilst ragefire boots will have more defence versus melee, even though they have the same armour bonus. Additionally, the defensive stat spread of your gloves and boots will be factored in along with the rest of your set, allowing you to skew your defensive bonuses in a direction you'd rather go. For instance, if you equip a pair of Steadfast boots (194 armour, good versus ranged) while wearing a set of Virtus robes (poor ranged defence), your ranged defence in your equipment screen will go up by much more than 194. You should give it a try, it's easier to play around with them and the equipment screen to see what I'm talking about :P

When your player base shrinks, so does the number of players botting ... E: Overall it's quite a positive message and at least MMG put in the effort to tell us what we want to hear, especially the admittance to overdoing the SoF/SGS promotions as well bot handling and the EoC. They've always liked to tout 2013 as being a very positive year where we get paid back for what happened last year, but I'm going to have to reserve judgement on this until I actually see these meaningful updates trickle into the game. I very much want to be as positive as possible, but after last year the most I can afford is cautious optimism.

You get the same distance regardless of success or abject failure, which is the only factor that affects your % progress to the next zone. Of course, you don't want to fall into the trap where you turn up at the Pincers with hardly any upgrades, but that shouldn't be likely given the sheer amount of jade you'll acquire along the way.

Was my friend's Yellow cartridge. Had Pikachu and was going to use it to take on Brock. I didn't know about typing and stuff, so I just tried to Body Slam my way through (idk how it had body slam), got killed aabout 17 times. When my friend came in to check what I was doing he said like "NOOOOO MY MONEY" and reset the cartridge. TNPW describe a special evening they remember well.

It's quite unlikely that any other Pincers crew exist, given that more than 10 people are confirmed to be in the Pincers and none of them have rolled anything besides the three MCS and Oxhead crew.
