There was some guy who recently pulled off a max-comp-trim in under a minute, which I assume Joe is also trying to do. Having this as a comp req would kind of throw a wrench into those plans :P

Having the crystal pickaxe require a dragon pickaxe splits the upgrade path into imcando and crystal pickaxes. This wouldn't be a big deal if the imcando pickaxe had its own effective niche, but it's going to be effectively worse than the crystal pickaxe anyway, because lol lava flow mine.
