Void's going to be pretty brutal in legacy when HP bonuses are removed from most armour though. I could see it being extremely valuable at top-end bosses for DPS when you have that +10% accuracy boost and a +5% damage boost.

Royal dragonhide armour works, but you'd need 80 ranged for the royal crossbow.

I agree, but at some point after joining, either through talking to people, interaction with the metagame/culture, perhaps the various announcements, twitch/youtube or whatever, they begin to wonder what the point of the game is, and they will get pushed into that direction. Even back in the day, when real life people I knew contemplated about RS or were wondering what it was about, it was always an awkward conversation. "So what do you do in there? Chop logs or something?", they'd ask. To which someone would reply, "yeah, you get levels up, and then you get a cape.." Or you can take part in over 190 quests, fight boss monsters, or generally do whatever you want? :P

Hang on, for max strength roll you've written this: What do you mean by round down one extra time? I thought it was established that void range gives a 20% damage bonus (1.1 x 1.1).

Summoning Meredith/Hedgehog pls. Can you help with some pre-EOC data? If let's say at level 99 ranged with +0 ranged bonus, your max accuracy roll is X, then at +64 bonus it is 2X, and at +128 it is 3X etc? Likewise, does strength bonus and max hit follow the same rule of 64? Asking this because I know that at -64 attack bonuses/defence bonuses, your accuracy/defence is 0.

Server crashes aren't really instantaneous though, there's usually this unresponsiveness that precedes it, giving you a chance to watch your character die before the server goes down.
