I disagree(in general not on vick), someone like BTK had a negative value and as such would have been better off as a gerbil. I wish they could have just forced him to pay millions to some type of animal program; and made him do a ton of community service. In all honesty, if he's a rotten person then this small stint in jail isn't going to change him; and if he is a good person community service and a multi mil fine would have been sufficient. I don't want to trivialize what he did, but I do value human life over animal life; and he's not exactly a serial killer.

This is misleading/wrong. An insurance company can't discriminate against someone if they have say a gene which gives them a much higher chance of getting prostate cancer, but they can discriminate against people who have actual diseases/problems caused by genetics. I think calling that discrimination is implying the wrong thing. The point of an insurance company is to make money. If they are forced to insure people with conditions that will always cause a loss, then they won't make money. Of course, insurance companies shouldn't be able to scan your genes and deny you based upon slight risk genes; but if someone is already affected by a disease the company can't profit and as such won't insure them. It would be like making the insurance company give you fire insurance after your house is torched.

I have played a little bit; since you sent that server I will try to pick it back up. It is a really fun game, and its so different from must about anything else you will play.

Sounds like a decent system, thats a short summary so it might have some horrible flaw that I don't see. I dont feel like getting into the political banter; all I will say is I don't mind private or public health care, if the system is working properly. In the case of being American; I oppose universal healthcare because I don't trust the Government to get the system working properly. edit--I wouldn't call this anti Canadian. They are advertising against universal healthcare using examples(not saying I believe or disbelieve them) and it makes sense to use Canada since it is next door. If you did this by comparing to a european country it would lose a little power since there is an ocean in the way.

he was probably pretty high level to start with. Bandits are a decent training option because you can afk or semi afk for really long amounts of time using guthans.

It's the first time it's been translated to English and I always have loved Japanese literature. They sure can write some screwed up stories. That's interesting, tell me how it turns out I may look into reading it if it is a good story.

Its a very good book if you don't read it at school and get to avoid having to analyze it. The problem is while its a very good book, it is very simple so you get annoyed when you have to discuss it. While its a classic tale, its best to have kids read it about 6th grade so they fully understand but aren't underwhelmed by the depth level.

There are apparently a ton of eagle scouts on here...not sure why but thats really surprising Requiring someone to believe in a god is beyond just teaching morality. One thing that oddly bugs me is the term nondenominational service, while its not a scout only thing; I never liked calling something nondenominational then mentioning the bible or other clearly christian exclusive things. On topic As I said earlier you might as well get eagle. While it may be some trouble, you seem the type that might actually regret not earning it(after all camping is what makes scouts cool and thats what you like).

I'm life rank right now; half way through getting my eagle project approved so I can hurry up and be done. I really hate the whole process of this, like you I enjoy the actual scouting stuff like camping but hate doing all the formal uninteresting stuff. One advantage I have is that our scout master has been involved so long that he does an amazing job; and we don't really have any adults that cause problems. In all honesty, I'm just doing my eagle at this point to throw a family reunion/party so I get money to go to europe No, while I as a person don't consider it amazing(a few kids from my troop who are bone fide scum have earned eagle, one got his girlfriend pregnant at about the same time); lots of colleges and businesses, and from what I have heard the armed forces take an eagle award as a really good mark. The scouts is supposed to be about instilling morals and leadership; the leadership works out fine but I have my collective rants about the scouts being anti atheist and anti gay. Could you change troops? I really wouldn't drop eagle chances just because your troops has some richards. What belief stuff are they trying to force on you? If its personal just send me a pm I would like to talk about this and hopefully help you out. Main two problems I have always had are the anti gay policy and the fact they say you have to believe in a god to be in scouts(hope this comes up at my eagle so I can have fun).
