No problem at all  In other news, thanks to this week's Jho event, i got my Helios top. Now i only need that friggin charm and t the Jho waist, and maybe another Jho gem for the Hammer

Yep, it may not look like much, but 80 attack is a lot. Specially with raw power weapons like Hammers and GS's. That and status weapons suck apart from Bowguns, Longswords and SnSs- Too slow for the effect to activate fast enough. Hammers and Gs's specially suck at status due to low speed. And before you hit me with the spin attack, it does residual damage.
  4. Well, mathematicly, the chance of getting it on the first and on the 800th time is the same, so it's a bit..... gah can't find a suitable word. And in no way you have 8000+ wild encounters in a regular game file.
  5. The odds of finding a shiny before you can even have pokeballs are so slim I'm tempted to say you're lying :| Again, the chances of finding a shiny pokemon at all are so slim on to themselves everyone is tempted to say they are fake. In my entire pokemon career i only had 5: A shiny magnemite in Gold, a shiny growlithe in silver who rared away. I nerd raged for the following hour. A shiny paras in FR, i was crossing my fnigers for him not to run. he didn't. A shiny Golbat in FR seafoam islands and a shiny pineco in Emerald. Combining all of these, i had about 600+h in pokemon. It's all about chance. ALG was both insanely lucky and unlucy at the same time- PS: Shiny Gyarados doesn't count >:[
  6. I wish my Vanity was shiny, it would increase it's awesome level  I don't have the imagination for a story now, so I'll jsut point out what happened. -Explored new Mauville, found Magnus the magnemite. -proceeded to Treetop village or w/e it's called. -Defeated the gym leader, altaria was a [bleep] though. Vanity took care of her with his epic tanking skills. -Ground A LOT, my team now consists of Vanity the Dustox, now fully prepared with protect, light screen, moonlight and toxic. No special attacker is gona break it. Magnus was an increadible addition, even as a Magnemite it was stronger than Mandrake. He is now a reflecting magneton. Louise is now accompaning Yogi in the box. Nathan is now lv 33, Aran is now a Lairon, great physical attacker and tank, Indigo is now on my team, should be a good addition. Camilla is lv 29, should be evolving soon. As i was trying to develop my Rever-zor, replacing X-scissor with agility solves the priority problem, but always do this after setting up a swords dance. If you set up a Agility, the priority problem is pretty much solved.

What ross said. That and Paralykeet isn't that good of an hammer, i think the Bone family is the best in LR (check the trees), and at HR51 is without a doubt Jho hammers. Of course, there are situational hammers, these include the Red bludgeon and the Alatreon Hammer.
  8. What sets do you suggest for Rotom (and what kind) and Jirachi Zaaps?
  9. I use Adamant, but i must try Jolly some time too. Scizor really is usually overkill with BP and Reversal, must run a few rounds with it
  10. Bulky yes, DD without speed yes, DD with speed/any kind of Gyarados with 50+Spe Ev's not. From what i have experienced so far, weavile, Infernape, Gyarados and Machamp are it's best counters, due to faster priorities, resistence to everything and Unubility to OKO

  12. But there you go. In every single galaxy (or most of them), you would find something based completely of older games. Specially music, which is one aspect i actually take in big consideration. Only a couple of new songs really stuck in my head. There are entire levels dedicated to Mario 64, Mario world, Mario sunshine and so on. Can't argue with the rock and cloud outfits, but it misses the flying star and ice flower galaxy 1 had, which were the best power ups. Yoshi in itself is from SM world and the blimp fruit is reminiscent of Yoshi+cape from wrld. The pepper and the yellow fruit are new and credit is given, specially to the pepper. If Galaxy 1 enphasizes on purple coins, Galaxy2 is on green stars. Nothing was a bigger punch in the nuts than completing the game, only to be awarded with more 120 hidden stars, which were terribly easy to find from my experience, without anything enw to them. Oh wait, there was a bigger punch in the nuts. Completing all the 240 stars only to find out the last reward was Rosaline with one single line. Couldn't they have shanged the comet to the observatory or something? Also, I will once again say Galaxy's 1 level design was better, mor polished, and overall, more original. Adressing difficulty, being hard shouldn't be a good atribute. Thats my main gripe with Demon's Soul. The game is hard but it's not a fair challenge like Super Metroid, Galaxy 1, and Castlevania 4. It's like castlevania 1&3 where you are given pretty much no chance. In DS, it's the checkpoints. they exist in other games for a reason. That being said, i still think the green stars weren't that hard. So yeah, Galaxy2 is far far far far far far far from being a bad game, it's an excelent game in fact. But it borrows so much it isn't even funny, at least to me. One small note: On the list i frogot to add some things, the honourable mentions that were excluded because of the franchise, since i obeyed the "1per franchise rule". These include Super Mario world, Zelda Link to the past and Metroid prime trilogy, aswell as monkey island 2, oblivion and Pokemon fire red.
  13. Galaxy 2 borrowed waaaaaaaaaaay to much from previous games, Galaxy 1 just felt fresher, more original, and overall better. This doesn't not mean Galaxy 2 is a bad game, but it was disapointing to me.
  14. Well the batteries of the original games are all probably dead by now, not sure about Gen II though. And my Leaf Green has been with my 9 year old cousin for the last 3 years, and asking for it back would be kinda weird. I'll be considering your ideas, zaaps. The Gen I game batteries apparently last a lot longer because they don't have to continually keep time. I can confirm that. My gold/silver batteries are dead but my blue isn't. I'm lazy to post another chapter atm, maybe i'll just do a small summary. Edit: This will be without story, too lazy atm. The progress was: [hide] -Evolve Mandrake -Get Vanity to lv 23 -Defeat magma, Louise went down, used my last revive. -Grind all pkm a few levels higher -Annihalate fire gym with aran's dig and rock tomb and Nathan's water gun. 15. So, i am creating this "surprise" team for shoddy, which consists so far on lead scizor, banded slaking, bellyzard, knock off toxic spin tentacruel, nasty plot houndoom and specs lucario. Any suggestions?
  16. LOL! i did that yesterday and damn, so many of them could not open the damn door :P I actually did that a while ago, and if you put the cannon right in frnt of the door, they can open it but not walk out of it. Don't know why.
  17. You also have 11m total xp, and obviously havn't MH'ed, so I don't think you can quite render an opinion on this. Oh right because you know for sure that that is his only account Can I be dogmatic? No. Can I be 95% Sure, yes. Judging by small things which lead me to believe he is a new 'scaper, (TIF join date, skills trained, his response, etc) I can be fairly sure it is. As such, I don't think he is qualified to render an opinion, as at least some MH experience is needed to know what you are talking about on this thread. I'd say the opposite, yes I am a casual player of the game, I have no 99s and sorry to the guy who tried to defend me but this is my 'main'. But firstly there is no need to have experienced these higher level instances of Runescape to know what you are talking about is a style of play which personally I disagree with. The fact does remain that crashing is un-sporting and in my opinion selfish, whether you tag it as elitist or not, the reality is, you will be cutting someone's enjoyment for the sake of you own ambition or dare I say.. greed? Finally by disregarding me as a low levelled nobody surely you prove the point of an aristocracy? 1. Welcome to TIF 2. You sir just won the thread
  18. Was that directed to me, because i don't have even a Rhyhorn and i can't get larvitar in emerald
  19. By that logic, Summoning is also "Fun" because of soul wars and familiarisation. I Stand by my position in regards to the topic, and title of the thread. "The best skill in the game" is, imo, summoning.
  20. When you are refering to the best, fun factor isn't all to it. Summoning has immense uses, it's hard to train, boost every other skill significantly and is overall very well designed. Dungeoneering would be a minigame that you can get experience with it. It has almost no use out of Daemonheim that couldn't be implemented in other way and it's repetitive. Yeah, the first few levels are great, but then it becomes all the same like all the other skills. Magic i agree, very usefull and well designed, kinda frail in pvp (which leads to another thread) but oh well. Slayer is the same thing as dungeoneering. You could implement those monsters in other way and no one would have complained. And if you argue with the "Oh, if it asnt slayer i would still be at the axe hut", no one is forcing you there. Greater demons, black demons, hell hounds and whatnot existed before slayer. People just didn't go there.
  21. I guess this should be on questionaries, but oh well. Summoning is hands down the single most usefull skill in the game. We can all picture ourselves before dungeoneering and slayer, but before summoning? No chance.

  23. So yeah, i want to incorporate a flygon in my team, but i don't know where  Can anyone suggest one that needs to leave? Before saying dustox, he is one of the most valuable. After i defeated the fire gym he learned toxis and is an increadible staller, and will be a perfect staller once he learns the reflect and light screen. If you are wondering what i want from my team, here it is: [hide] Nathan: mixed attacker Vanity: Toxic staller Aran: Physical attacker (btw, where can you get substitute?) Louise: Tanker and set up sweeper. Mandrake: Water coverage Camilla: Mixed sweeper.[/hide]
  24. Chapter 1: A hard note Chapter 2: The Island of Doom Chapter 3: Dusk and Shore Chapter 4: Shock! [hide] Despite our glorious win against Sapphire, we were still shaken by Tania. As i was suggesting we came back to rest for a day, Nathan wanted to keep going. We soon arrived at Mauville, where we all gathered and were figuring out a strategy to defeat this gym leader. No one at the pokecenter would tell us his speciality. As we were going to the gym, a challenger appeared.. Wally, from Petalburg, was shaking in front of the gym, his uncle discouraging him to enter. As we approached, wally challenged us for a fight. I was sending out Yogi, who has been quite calm lately, but he seemed to want to give Aran his turn. She hapily and quickly defeated Wally's Ralts. He then blushed, called his uncle, and left to verdanturf. On the way out, i heard his uncle say "You should get a ground type you know, otherwise you can't take Wattson". Looks like Nathan will unload his anger at the gym. As we traveled thowards Verdanturf for some training, we found a revive, one of the few available throughout the game. I heard rumours there is a revive mine in dewford, which i may pay a visit later on. As soon as we found this revive, a new trainer challenged us. Sadly enough, the poison stall technique vanity boasts didn't work this time. He fell. Yogi instantly came out and finished punishing this doduo. I am not loosing another one. I used the revive and i'm proud i did so. Vanity opened his eyes again, and Nathan tackled him right after, and started lecture him. It was... kinda awkward, but i'm glad we didn't loose Vanity, or any other member for that matter. After a short visit to verdanturf, as we were heading back, we met this strange couple that said they could train our pokemon. I thought this was a good opportunity for homer and Arnold. W let them and they seemed to be happy about it. As we came back to Mauville, we just healed up and headed to the gym. "HaHa! New challengers" laughed Wattson. "well, i'm wound up, lets get this rolling". The battle was over in no time, thanks to Nathan's mud shot and Aran's newly-learned Dig. Wattson was nearly crying, but in laughter. I don't get him, he just laughs by seeing his pokemons beeing bullied around. I guess that's the life of a Gym leader. A life i don't want. He gave us the badge and a brand new TM. Mandrake seemed rather enthusiastic, but i told him not to waste a good TM on a move he will not need, since he had learned spark recently. As we proceeded north, we broke through some breakable rocks, but not before humuliating the Winstrate family. Mandrake, once again, took a liking to the Macho Brace they gave us. Until he is needed for a big fight, i'll let him hold it i guess. In the next road, we came up with this friendly Numel, who kindly offered us a rawst berry. Camilla the numel joined our team, and with her bulkyness and nice typing, she is ought to be a good addition. She also joined Yogi and Aran in their nice little group. They want to be known as Yo-Ara-Milla trio. these kids *tsk tsk* We wanted to go up the mountain, but these "Magma" guys were blocking it. Bah, looks like we will go have a stroll along the north. We passed through the fiery path, were we met Ignatio the slugma. We ran through this scorching hot cave and came up on the other side. After a lot of walking, and meeting Emma the spinda, a trainer jumped us, a ninja boy apparently, and really wounded Yogi. tthankfully, he as still able to defeat it. Even better, Yogi actually evolved after the battle, but we had to rush for the pokecenter. The diagnosis was simple. He broke a wing bone, therefore, he won't be able to battle again. The entire team was shocked, specially because the Tania incident happened so little time ago. We all said goodbye to Yogi, we will visit it him i guess. As we approached the PC though, a strange charachter was near it. "I'm Lannete" she said. "I am the creator and manager of this regiaon's storage system". After this short introduction, we proceeded and found this most peculiar pokemon. A swablu. After we caught it, she was named Louise, the swablu, and she soon proved herself to be quite usefull tanking hits and asleeping enemies. She will have a future i think. As we ran inside Meteor Falls, this random science guy was being harassed by more Magma grunts. I was going to fight them, Aqua grunts appeared and chased them off, they still took what this Scientis had, so we must wait and see what time brings. We all returned to Rustburo and slept there for tonight.[/hide] Party [hide] Nathan the Marshtomp- lv 25 Louise the Swablue- lv 19 Mandrake the Eletrike- lv 21 Aran the Aron- lv 21 Vanity the Dustox- lv 23 Camilla the Numel- lv 20[/hide] Box (Day care included) [hide]Ignatio the slugma Yogi the swellow Nicholson the Nincada Amanda the Marill Emma the Spinda Arnold the Makuhita Homer the Whismur[/hide] Memorial [hide] Tania the poochyena[/hide] Next time: Chapter 5: Scorching hot!

This new metroid title from Team Ninja was revealed last year's E3 and is about to be released. It seems to be engaging the action side of metroid more than the exploration setting, which is kind of a letdown and has a proeminent story. The latest trailer can be found here Your thoughts? I personaly can't wait for this, even though i am more and more worried about this game the longer i see it.
