  1. Makes a little since i guess. @ Sinkhan, if you posted that earlier i might have believed it. But I'd still like to see a large sample size, I don't like to "take people's words for it" for some things.
  2. Its true WC ivy would be faster, but it would make very little profit. If you did teaks, you could easily make money back and still get a decent rate as well as special logs. If you want to get real technical, do the fastest method to get to 99 in the skill then do something else to make more profit. Depending on what you do you could possibly made more money doing it that way then the slower but easily profited way.
  3. Most likely due to it being a dead patch. I don't see where y'all are getting that you will get around 10% of your seeds back. I don't see that at all any where. Also from the RS KB: So this is assuming that all his patches stay alive. Perhaps my example isn't quite accurate. If he were to plant 1 million torstol seeds in My Arm's patch, then you'd expect roughly 100k torstol seeds to be recovered. I believe bladewing has some data on farming runs and I think he recorded the number of deaths. If we factor that in I'm sure we could come up with a more accurate figure. Ok, we might be thinking of 2 completely different things. I talked about it with numerous others, some have thought about what you're talking about. Let me give you what I'm thinking. Lets say you take a 10 sided die, or a 10 slotted wheel if you can't get a die, and you go to each herb patch. You roll that die, or spin the wheel, and it landing on that special number is the 10% chance you're gonna get a seed back. That doesn't mean you're going to get 10% of your seeds back, thats how you can get 20 seeds back from 100 planted, or 5. Now that i think about it, Jagex decided to give use another "ring of wealth" since they decided to tell use about the first one lol.

  5. ^ right there. When I was talking about Eagle eye, I was talking to Aeil. He said the FSH affected the cannon the same way Eagle eye worked. Which it doesn't Ultimately i was talking about you saying eagle eye increases damage, which it doesn't. So in that respect it acts the same way as the FSH, it boosts accuracy.
  6. Might be able to solo mage Rex with 80 def and 83 magic. Will be a little hard without being able to use a Bunyip, but it can be done as i don't use a healing familiar.
  7. He could be. It doesn't return 10% of your seeds. There is a 10% chance that on each seed you will get a seed back, alive be it of the same seed and dead being a random one. I farmed 100 lantadymes and got back 20 seeds, an average of 1 seed a run. Some runs i got back 4 seeds, some none. Well just going from a purely expected value it should be 5. I think if someone where to plant 1 million seeds, the number of seeds that they'd get back would probably be very close to 100k. It might be a little more or a little less, but in the end it should be roughly in that ball park. Remember, 50 and 100 seeds is a very small sample. No no no no. You don't get back 10% of the seeds you planted back. There is a 10% chance to get a seed back from the plant, but not 10% of the seed you planted back. Source
  8. The reason you were getting 0 prestige was because you didnt finish all the floors below your current prestige before going to the next floor.

  10. Said what? I see where you mention that Eagle Eye increases damage, which isn't true as you can't go over 300 while cannoning.
  11. that did not answer his question. It effects the cannon the same way as eagle eye, increasing the accuracy and possibly the distance it fires (not sure about that one) Eagle Eye increases damage. It doesn't increase distance (not like the cannon needs to shot farther anyways  ) As said already, the FSH will increase it's accuracy, but not strength I'm pretty sure the cannon maxed at 300, and nothing could make it go over that.
  12. Do one trip, see how long that takes you and see how many times you can do that in a hour. Don't forget you Varrock Armour.
  13. Cannon maxes at 300 damage, the FSH does make it more accurate i believe.
  14. You can get poisoned again. It acts like just a regular anti-poison. Useful for places where you don't get poisoned all that much, but for places such as ZGW or DKS you might want to bring some super anti-poisons as well.
  15. Yes it is possible to do it. I haven't myself but i do know of slayers that have. They say its best to try and get the Wyrm on the cannon that way it is getting hit on every rotation.
  16. I don't think it is that outdated. Except for maybe extreme/overloads but those are kinda easy to figure out if you know how to use them. One thing i say is to sell you DFS for some money. It seems you won't use it so sell it and get at least 80 magic. If you DK you can easily use a BSS (Blessed Spirit Shield) instead. I went there yesterday and there was a 106 using a War Tort there and he was doing just fine, until i crashed him that is >.<. If you don't want to slay for fun then don't slay at all. I cannot see how you "dunno" if you find it enjoyable or not. And if they make a 99 slayer monster, how sure are you that it will even be campable? It could end up like the Strykewyrms and only able to kill while on task. Emo cape my ass -.-
  17. They're still pretty common on F2P worlds Most likely due to F2P lack of bank space compared to P2P. I'd assume it's also because f2p can only use two GE slots for buying/selling. Ah, I miss the good old days of bank sales and haggling prices. Good times ;P Oh wow, thats what i actually meant to put. Idk why i put bank space tho lol.
  18. The noob version is just using Slay Dart instead of CoG or Fire Surge. I'm sure tip.it has a pretty decent guide to them. @Lowc15 you can't i just tried.
  19. If you enjoy slaying, and have any goals, spending points on exp is a waste. For the killing blows, you still need the hammer (or whatever item is needed if its not a Garg) in your inv for it to be killed. This just keeps you from having to click on the garg. It is useful when Ranging/maging them as you don't have to be next to them to finish them. Spending on runes is probably the best way to spend them. I use 2k points on ice wyrm tasks and i only gotten them as a task once. If you can wait until you have a fire cape, then do so. Ultimately the choice is up to you, i just hope you pick one that suits you best.
  20. Whips are good money right now. But you can probably make more camping other creatures. I made a post on a different topic you made telling you a few ways. But to get the best exp you should use the best master you can and block tasks you rather not do.

  22. Use it any where you would just use magic spells. I myself plan on using it for CW games, solo maging rex, and mage slaying tasks. I'm also sure there are other places to use it.
  23. If you rather not have to wait, and camping abyssal demons is bad money compared to other methods, slaying isn't all that great. Killing green dragons is probably one of the better ways for combat. There are tons of ways to make money. Don't forget to farm herbs and have money in you coffers for Kingdom Management.
  24. Tbh i find range slaying them to be great. Using knives i can kill 2 at the same time and just safe spot them. I do the same trick with maging lol.
  25. I say filter your quest list to level of difficulty and work up from there. If you need to get a level in the skill either do that or ski[ that quest for now. You can also filter it to where it only shows the ones that you can complete now without any skilling or questing.
