  1. You can range them. I have done it for a short time, but its best to range them while on task though :P. I find it better to mage abyssal demons though. If you're not to concerned about speed you can range Black Demons. If you want fast then cannoning Scarabs is probably the fastest. Range Slaying isn't that bad either. I like it quite a bit, but if you don't like slayer then its probably not for you. Oh, I do like Slayer. I hate ranging/maging slayer though. How come? Is it the speed? I mainly got my range exp from slaying but it was while using a cannon. Using a cannon doesn't really hurt your profit. Since you are a high slayer level you can easily profit while you cannon. Try and do as many tasks in Kuradal's dungeon when you can. You can range them all in there, but i would range Dark Beasts (not that you can anyway). Using knives really speeds it up. Some creatures, such as abbys, have higher def so using a Crossbow on them make it better. Most creatures aren't that hard to tank. Abbys i tank easily in Ahrims using a Blessed Spirit Shield and a bunyip to heal. Also having the Enhanced Excalibur for the small healing and defense boost helps out as well. I should make a range/mage slaying guide but I'm to lazy lol. But pretty much its the best gear you can afford using the best ammo/spells. Having 99 defense doesn't hurt to much.

  3. Something I'd just like to point out. If you kill then in the CT you actually kill them quite fast. As well as being able to use a Combat familiar/BoB, you have the other lower combat people down there either killing or botting. If you go and are stuck with 2/3 other players/botters and are higher leveeld you can easily get most of the kills and they die quite fast. Add in Dragon Claw specs and spec restores if you have them and kills come in rather quickly.
  4. This is what i normally wear while slaying. If i need more prayer i wear my SW cape. If I'm using a safe spot then i use my Unholy Book.
  5. Try and team when ever you can. You get 5% more exp per extra team member. If you can't get 4 others, duo/trios will work find on the lower floors. My friend, whose gotten 100+ dunge, usually does floors 1-27 solo/small team on complexity 1 then does floors 28-35 large. If you can't get anyone to go, or don't wanna team with random people, then soloing works fine. Its probably best to try and go with friends so you know you can join back if you get logged, i know i've had problems because people won't turn private on or add you.
  6. FSH only works on tasks. Void works much better when not slaying, or when you don't need a lot of defense.
  7. No it won't. Invisible only allow you to mine/fish/chop faster. Only familiars that boost your stats can let you do that, and there are only a handful that might do visible boosts.
  8. Banking to get more mithril ores would be a hassle anyway. I would think the mining guild would be a little bit better for superheat+mining. ah, I thought the bank was close in the living rock caverns, or is it only a deposit bank? Its only a deposit bank. The idea you have though works great for conc. gold, you can superheat and mine the gold at the same time.
  9. When I was lower leveled I either do slayer tasks, or Moss Giants. I killed them north of Ardougne and banked when i needed to. Once you get stronger you can try Fire Giants next.
  10. They do not. While on Modern and Ancient magic there is an option to turn on/off combat spells. That option is not there when having Lunar magic activated.
  11. I agree with bedman on the uni since you don't have yak part. Try to keep as much open space as you can to hold herbs and Dark Bows.
  12. Dragon Plateskirts, Medium Helms, and Shield Halves all have a market price around their alch price. Try to buy below their alch price minus a nature rune. Also Rune Javelins have a low gp/exp as well, making them a good item to buy in bulk.
  13. If you didnt notice it, but. he is F2P and probably won't become P2P so all the stuff about kingdom is kinda useless. If he does become P2P then this is something useful to look into. OT: It depends on what you plan on doing. If you like to make a little more money, you can invest into the trimmed armors and buy those at lower prices and sell for higher. One of the best things to put your money into, is your skills. Try and raise the lower ones or get better levels for the higher ones.
  14. That doesnt work anymore, all prices are set to GE now. Mining, smelting then selling the bars is good money. Really now. It must have been recently changed because I did that a month or so ago and made decent profit off that.
  15. Well i have been slaying with mage recently, and its not as bad as some might expect. If you like to use combat magic it isn't as bad. I have used both Claws of Guthix, Earth and Fire surge on tasks and have found them to work quite well. But be prepared to spend some money as it will probably set you back some GP.
  16. What i was doing on my "noob" account was take the money i had, go to Aubrey's shop and buy the water and earth runes. After that just sell on the GE and you can make a little profit. I also did the same at the magic shop in Port Sarim. Probably not much, but it does help out some. I also did this with feathers in Port Sarim and Lumby.
  17. Invest in items, spend on items you need, spend on other skills you want/need to raise. Its your cash, use it how you want.
  18. Was just double checking for penguins as I know with juna and some quest reward lamps you do need to have a minimum level in the skill you use the lamp for . For Juna (Tears of Guthix) you can be level 1 and still get exp. The skill just has to have been around long enough. Theres something else about ToG thought that i forget. But it goes something like at lvls 1-x you get a set amount of exp but once you hit lvl x you get different exps, or vice versa.
  19. There's a pretty famous rant started by an equally famous member, compfreak847. I always knew him to be right up there with the super analytical types like zaaps1, bladewing, and morionic. Some of the arguments he's made are a little outdated with the release of new items and such, but it's a good read. 80+ pages of replies also says something too. Slayer Sucks But unlike zaaps1, bladewing, and morionic (atleast i think so) comp didn't like slayer at all. If you like slayer or plan on training it AT ALL, its a good decision to train slayer while at a lower combat so you don't end up wasting time getting maxed melee before slayer. Some people might say its better to get maxed then do slayer, but thats up to the person. I myself have trained all/most of my stats through slayer, including range and magic. I even plan on maxing range and magic through slayer. Yes i know there are better ways, faster ways, more economical ways, but its what i choose to do. I rather kill different creatures then one creature or camp at a bank casting spells. To the OP: If you rather camp a single monster to get the rest of your exp, then you have plenty of examples listed already. If you rather have a little variety then try out slayer. Or you can always do a little of both. Either way pick something that you enjoy, because if you don't enjoy it then it will most likely take twice as long then doing something you do enjoy.
  20. If you have the mining level for concentrated gold you can mine that and superheat it while mining to get exp. Then just sell the ore you bought. Just an alternative, i think Zaaps might have something about it in his mining guide.
  21. It is still recommended to do so at it increases the minimum amount yielded. I once didn't put super compost on My Arm's patch and only gotten 3 herbs back while using the Magic Sects.
  22. Newton wasn't sitting under the tree, he was standing at a distance and observed the apple falling.
  23. Whip + Rune Defender for Slayer. DFS for SW if not high defense or BGS if you like high hits. Tbh though, neither is worth it and its best to spend the money on prayer/herblore for help while slaying or while in SW.
  24. Continue what you did for the last ~9m exp. I think you should have it down by now.
  25. I would say getting Turmoil would be more worth while, as well as getting Soul Split. With that you might not need SGS at TDs, unless you want hits but you can downgrade to BGS or Claws if you like. If you were to spend all the money on herblore, you would get in the 83 with just your current cash pile. Maybe 89/90 if you sold your SGS. (Assuming ~26 gp/exp)
