Slayer Questions
Good choice. I'm using the exact same setup because I'm to poor for bandos ATM. Off Topic: As for the cannon thing, most tasks that you cannon on you either don't need the extra defense from the DFS as you are either praying, or damage isn't that much of a problem. There is only one task i know of that goes for the later, and that are dag tasks. They aren't that strong, and in just Torags and a Rune Def I can keep at 80+ hp the entire task. As for the others, you usually pray on them and the DFS just makes it seem clunky. The Def helps the task speed along as sometimes the C-balls can't/won't hit a monster so you just have to melee it. Also a God Book/Fally Shield 3 might be helpful as they improve prayer some, but the accuracy and str of the Def helps out more imho, and many others i slay with.

Slayer task
Kalphites or Hellhounds. Both are terrible tasks imo. Can't stand either of them. T-birds aren't that bad from what i hear if you cannon them. But i haven't done the quest so i can't say to much about them.

Crystal Bow, Rune X Bow or Bronze Knives?
Problem is there is really no point to (if not 180k per charge) degrade it that much so it is 180k per charge. Also.. Question. If its 180k per charge. Why not get 10 seeds, 1.8M, get 10 Crystal Bows, then sell for med. :? Sell the Crystal Bows? You can't :wall: seeds are the only part thats tradeable. Umm.. I thought that you can at Full Charge and Seeds. Ya i edited my post.

But you can go and buy a new one for 900k Islwyn, and most people can usually get it recharged cheaper then buying a new one. I'm not that sure as i never done the quests, buts im sure Jagex thought of this and made a way to prevent it from happening.

Armor question
Most of the good, non degrading armor is quite expensive. Bandos and Dragon are a few that come to mind. You can maybe try using rune or maybe a torso if you got it with a dragon skirt. But in reality, Barrows is the best armor to use if on a budget. It only needs to be repaired after 15 hours of combat. And then it only cost maybe 150k at the most if you use Bob in Lumbridge to fix it when totally broken.

Slayer task
1) Since you want to get 88 summ, they are great task to do. They drop tons of crimsons which help out. If you don't like to do them then block them. If you want you could cannon them if u decide to stick with cannoning. Other wise i would stick to the ct ones. 2) Again, they are great crimson droppers and are a nice task to do. I can make a nice profit from them as well as ~100+ charms a task. If you have trouble doing them then just keep on your list, otherwise just do them. With your stats though you shouldn't have any trouble with them. 3) Well it depends on how many tasks you cannon and which tasks they are. If you do MTK on the side that usually pays for the C-balls i use in a week so it isn't much of a problem. Also farming herbs makes some profit to help. If you want task over faster and want more exp quicker for slayer, then stick to cannoning. But if you think it costs to much then don't bother. Also at your level, i wouldn't buy guthans back unless you like tanking at bandos. Other wise a bunyip and your 99 def should handle most, if not all, tasks.

Slayer question
Okay, see, now that's [expletive deleted] lucky. Dust devils and fire giants? Those are some of the best tasks you can get. I wish I could get a loop like that. True, but greaters are horrible. I would love to block them but my blocklist is full. Try taking something off you blocklist and adding greaters to it. This might change up your tasks and give you something new. I done this a while ago because all i use to get were Abby demons, fire giants, greater demons, and black dragons. I didn't even get Spirit mages until i hit 90 slayer  (Hence the low amount of drops) OT: Try getting to 100 cb and use Duradel. Tasks might be a little harder but the exp you get will be nice. Until then maybe try switching to Chaeldar for a few tasks.

Tanking stats?
- Slayer Gear
That looks fine. But i would just use the D boots and Rune Defender on the magic defense tasks. As the boots and shield offer little magic def, the offensive bonus from the D boots and Defender will make short work of most tasks. And the damage from the magic attack comes from your magic level and your magic def, so the body and chaps should provide enough for tasks. If you find it not working to well when using the D boots and R def, then switch back to the way you had it.- Armour/weapon set up for about 32M?
Its good. If you want to spend all your money on it then go ahead. But you can also use veracs and 10% str and get the same results. I liked bandos when i had it. Not having to repair barrows is ok. But i would save up some more so you have a small cash pile left over in case you need it. I wouldn't get dragon or a DFS as they have few uses. Barrows and a Rune Defender will work just fine. If you tell us what you plan on doing we might be able to help you out some more.- Advice on what to save up for
Regen bracelet is pretty identical to addy gloves and together with rapid restore heals 4hp/minute. Ok then the Rune Gloves or higher are better then others. but the Regen braclet also cost 250k while the addy gloves only cost 50k?- Advice on what to save up for
Unless the OP decides to start doing GWD i wouldn't get a GS. And unless the op also gets tons of dragon tasks, i would advise against a DFS as well. Like it has been said i would save for a Amulet of Fury. Also a Rune Defender is worth it in the long run. It shouldn't take that long to get. The first few defenders seem to be a pain to get for most people and the mithril-rune ones seem to come in no time at all. In the mean time i would probably spend some money and get the skills to do RFD. The gloves you get from it all the best. The sooner you get it done the better. And even if you can't finish it the adamant gloves are a little better then the CB Braclet.- Is gettig back my Fighter Torso worth it?
If you don't mind it, then get it back. But think about this before you do. . . In that time of grinding, you could have got some slayer exp plus some other type of melee exp. You could have even made some money from tasks that you were doing. If you can get that exp plus some after getting the torso then go for it. Other wise i wouldn't. I find the torags top to do just fine. If you want you could just wear prosy top and verac skirt and use 10% prayer. It might cost you a little bit in prayer pots, but it does help out some.- Back to Sumona.
Ya, forgot to mention this as well. Sumona tasks mostly give you green charms which are horrible for summoning. I notice that while doing Duradel i get mostly crimson charms. I got about 740 crims since i got 88 summ all while using Duradel. Also got 515 golds, 255 greens and 45 blues. If using Duradel i hear that it is 0.8 summoning exp for every 1 slayer exp you get. For sumona it probably will be worse.- Back to Sumona.
Nothing against you, but i'd like to point out that goraks, miths and squahs are small amounts assigned that can be easily done. Taking maybe 30-45 mins to do those tasks. Now would u rather spend the time and do them to get an easy 15 points, or waste 30 points blocking them? Also Gargs have very nice drops for such a small requirement. They area pain though as you need to hammer them. I have no experience on T-birds but i hear they are good exp. Waterfiends are one of the better tasks to do if you have 68+ summoning and 80+ combat stats. If you don't they tend to be annoying. Now fire giants aren't terrible bad, but they do take a while. You can also cannon those if you chose to. This wasn't really meant to offend you but to help the OP if he has some questions about these monsters as well. Also +1 Point count :D- Back to Sumona.
Your answer is one that will most likely make me stay with Duradel. Im not really a big fan of dragons although i do enjoy the occasional Black Dragon task. If i do decide to stick with Duradel, which are some of his tasks i can Cannon whilst not making a huge loss? The tasks i cannon are Mutated Bloodvelds (requiring Legacy of Seergaze), Dags under the LH (only for now because i want fast slayer exp as opposed to gp), and Abberant Spectres. Mutated Bloodvelds drop tons of rune arrows, throwing knives, addy t-knives, and a load of runes and alchs. (I'm about to go on a task as soon as i get done writing this.) Dags are a fast task, i just did a task of 192 in roughly 20 minutes. Use about 1.5k cballs. I got a few charms and 1 snapdragon seed. Not much money made back. Spectres are one of the better tasks as they drop tons of herbs and seeds that can be used to help pay for the Cballs. You can either sell the seeds straight up or plant them and get a little more money to sell along with some farming exp. Now its not the task that i cannon that i get the money, but the tasks i do normally that gets me the money to cannon. A good drop from a Garg, Sp mage, or Abby Demon can pay for a high amount of Cballs i use. I also make money on the side thanks to MTK (and farming if i don't feel lazy) so this also helps with the cost of cballs. If you need help in game you can always ask for help. Just add me.- Change of gear
I second this motion. I would just stick to the Beserker ring. I find the RoW to be overrated. The Beserker ring will get you better exp/hr. I did use a RoW, but once i got in the low-mid 80s i switched to a Beserker ring and stayed with it. Also i don't use a shield on most prayer tasks. I find the extra help from the Defender to out weigh that exp. And there are few tasks that i find the shield to actually help on as there are few tasks that i use prayer. Mainly those i cannon (not including dags, unless i do the CT dags) and SP Mages as they have a high magic attack. But since they have such low HP you can kill them in 4 hits max.- Back to Sumona.
Its up to you really. If you like Sumona then stick to her. Duradel tasks do offer more exp per task though so Sumona might take you longer get to your level. She also has a lot more tasks that you can cannon which are nice. If you don't cannon though that really doesn't matter. Sumona also assign Turoth/Kurask and Duradel doesn't. Thats one of the reason i stick to Duradel because those tasks are a pain in my [wagon] to do. But Sumona also assigns red/blue drags which can make money if you collect and bank all the bones and hides. I also believe she doesn't assign mithril drags which area nice and fast task to do. When i did Sumona i also noticed that i was getting a ton of herbs that i normally use, such as irits, kwuarms, and ranarrs.- Where to Kill Rats?
If its an overgrown cat, including a hellcat, you can have both the overgrown cat and a kitten.- Lootsharing?
Well it helps to know what you were killing. If it was the mole then it might have died in another area of the tunnels and you couldn't see the drops.- Few questions regarding money and the like.
Whether you cannon or not, Sumona has better tasks then Chaeldar does . And if you know what you're doing, you can range all of Duradel tasks. I say you go ahead and move to Duradel and do his tasks. If you don't like them then try Sumona. Also check out Robin's guide to Range Slaying in the AoW. Shouldn't be to hard to find.- Summoning power level?
The only way to power level summoning is to have a Kyatt and use that to go to the obelisk and make pouches. Its that simple. The only problem people have is how to obtain the charms and the money. Those are different stories all together.- Aberrant Spectres
Ya you can do that. But if you cannon them i wouldn't suggest it. I dont cannon. I value HP xp. but thanks. And they have a long-range attack too right..? They use magic. So yes its long range. You either have to wear hides, prayer armour and pray them, or flicker pray them. No safe spotting. And i value time over hp exp so meh.- Aberrant Spectres
Ya you can do that. But if you cannon them i wouldn't suggest it. - Slayer Gear
