1 pouch + 1 of each secondary ingredient (usually 1, but occasionally 2 or more) + 1 charm + X crystals (however many needed) = 1 summoning familiar pouch. Pouches don't stack, scrolls do.

Never mind, I got it! This can be locked/ignored.

Hi, I've been working on the dig site quest for a while, and I'm supposed to dig up a find to impress the teachers. I know that I need to be in the level 3 digs, but how long does it take to get the talisman to show them? I've dug up a hundred broken useless things already . . .

If you examine the coordinate, it will say something like, "Maybe I can find someone to teach me about reading this . . . " or something like that. Then talk to him and there will be a retrieval option.

Got my big swordfish with a hunter harpoon yesterday. Don't think there are any restrictions.

You still get experience . . . or is that not good enough? It's free, remember.

Teens convicted for virtual theft in RuneScape heist
Kellis replied to Jacks0n's topic in General Discussion
lulz. Sucks to be them. How'd they steal them? -
Ow, caps lock hurts my aching head . . . Adamant gloves are a reward from Fist of Guthix, the free game in the wildy. You really don't need them. Work on raising those stats instead . . . and if you look at the signatures, you'll see that you really need some better stats. Keep on raising them, they go up fast at low levels.

Noted items - Do they count towards the PVP risk cost?
Kellis replied to SonicSilver's topic in Help and Advice
If you have a whole bunch of noted things, don't you only keep one of the notes per item protected? -
Still doesn't seem worth killing him over . . . just ignore list him and move on.

Awesome. Thanks!

I understand that they're revamping the AoW, but does anyone have any links to a good firemaking or woodcutting guide? I remember reading a really good one linked to on someone's signature . . . Anyway, if you could post a link it would help me out.

high level p2p: Recipe for Disaster quest takes a heck of a long time and requires a billion subquests, but it is good for 28,000 cooking experience + another 20,000 from an antique lamp . . . it's a decent thing to work on if boredom strikes.

adds +100 exp to each caught swordfish (fishing exp, since swordfish are normally 100 exp each it's basically double) Degrades after 1000 caught fish. No repairing, just go win another.

Stupidity in general irks me. And when things bother me, I tend to want to crush them with my higher-level-than-you-whiny-little-cretin character. And I agree: denial, denial, denial. Just two or three words. "My main kan pwn u!!?!?!!!" "No, he can't." "Yes he kan!!!?!11" "He doesn't exist." "Duz tooo!!!11!!!?!" "Nope." Simple, easy to type in between taking their dragons / ores / spawns of whatever, and it just makes them madder. I sometimes smile in hope that somewhere, someplace, a twelve-year-old is pissing his pants in sheer fury.

It's hard for him to get much better armor if his defence is 4 . . . :wall:

Two days of intermittent playing. Pick up a ring of wealth, they DO help the drop rate. I got stuck with black for about 500 tickets, then shot through the rest in about 20 cyclops. It's always variable. They also also drop decent things to high alch/sell to the warrior's guild shop if you grab them.

Actually, if you're asking questions because you genuinely don't know, you're technically a newb (short for newbie). That's not seen as a bad thing and those players should be gently encouraged. If you're just an idiot (how to I mine fish? Moneyz plz??) then you're a noob, and need to gain a few i.q. points. A good sign that a noob is nearby is, paradoxically, the fact that they will they will call others noobs for incomprehensible reasons.

I'm glad the filter's there. I see so many calls of "noob" and so much tortured English that I would just cringe under the abusive verbal onslaughts I'm sure I'd see the second the filter went down. PvP worlds are already bad enough . . . And while an occasional swear upon death is understandable, there's not much in Runescape worth swearing over. Just a game, remember? ;)

Oh god, the time needed to get those charms and the money investment makes my head hurt . . . I'd say that the easiest in terms of TIME (losing tons of money and mind-numbingly boring, but still fast) would be fletching. Buy from GE at mega-loss, fletch, buy more at even higher loss, etc. Also, the materials are all being constantly sold so there's no waiting for offers to come through. I wish I had the patience to sit down and raise a skill up that high . . . I just get distracted/bored.

They could do this, but it would basically make them last forever for rich players with high smithing. That seems even more imbalanced for me . . . I like that they don't last forever. A not-so-hidden price tag to ownage spellpower.

As so many others have stated, cooking, fletching, and firemaking to a lesser extent are not so great. Of course, I don't have a skill cape yet, so I'd be willing to have one of those . . . A 99 prayer skillcape blows my mind when I see one, though. I suppose it could be bought, eventually, but they're still so rare and with so much dedication for them that I consider them one of the top skillcapes.

That's only good for boss hunting; I wouldn't see why you would want a DFS. Rune defender is better for training. A dfs has higher str bonus. THe only offensive bonus a defender has over a dfs is attack, and as i said, if your attack level is high enough a dfs will be sufficient. And that isn't even counting the huge defence bonus. :) Your attack level is never sufficient enough for 19 atk < 2 str. Defense is, though. The higher level defenders do give a strength bonus. Sure, it's not as high, but for how cheap it is to get your hands on a defender compared to DFS, the defender's good unless you're in the battle of your life. I've noticed that the defender boosts my max hit by a couple, so I went and fought anything with health slightly less than my max hit. Nothing's more fun than seeing an enemy die in a one-hit KO

Woohoo! Wolverine! 8-) But no, I don't think a more powerful weapon is needed. As someone on the first page suggested (sorry I don't remember who), a possible idea would be a weapon that isn't more powerful than a godsword but that has a unique look to indicate its wielder's high combat level. Glowing godsword, anyone?

I really hope so. I remember working forever on my smithing during the little time I played, trying to get it up so I could make awesome items that would otherwise need to be purchased for 50k+ (a fortune back then, I can assure you!) Now I don't even care about it. I don't even need it for smithing things like arrowheads or darts for fletching because they're so cheap to simply buy. If they bring it back with new items, I might be willing to return to the crushing boredom of load after load of coal. \
