My friend seems to have found an alternative firemaking method that I think may be faster than anything we have right now. Here is the explanation he gave me "Essentially, use your log on the pyrelord when it is either north or south of you, and then use another on a tinderbox exactly 3 ticks after. This method maxes out at about 575k exp/hour using magic logs. Fastest alternative method I've seen maxes out at about 490k exp/hour at max efficiency." You can tank metal dragons, black demons, and dark beats in barrows armor, probably in bandos as well but that seems out of the question for you at the moment. A high prayer level negates the need for much defense on most tasks since turmoil gives a def boost on top of everything else ans you can soulsplit. Many people also choose to use healing familiars. Also, if you are already praying turm/piety on a task it doesn't take much more effort to pray melee and not need the barrows at all. In the end it doesn't really matter that much, just don't ever consider dragon legs since it is inferior to both methods discussed.

Yeah, but come on. One of the only useful aura's out right now is only 400 points compared to 5000. And its the prayer one, which I purchased. Anyone else do the same? Please dont tell me you bought outfits + name title.. I'm most likely just going to get the ranged and prayer ones depending on how they are after seeing some data. After that I'm just waiting it out for future releases or until I know how good jack of all trades is.

I really wish they had implemented auras in a different way. And they are are just gonna screw us later by releasing actually useful auras just after we spend all our points. Also its possible that we may be getting 3k pts as soon as July starts depending on how this works.

It is usually better to solo, given you can do roughly 15 minute medium dungeons, than to do w117 larges. However ideally larges are pretty much the best xp as long as you can do them efficiently, which simply isn't going to happen on world 117.

I sent one in about a year ago about cannons randomly disappearing while slaying without giving the decay message or even the decay animation. I never received anything back and I'm still not even sure if it was fixed, because I stopped slaying after 99.

It's easy to see that jagex is really cracking down on botters nowadays.

I use f1/f3 mainly which originally was because I needed the extra flexibily since I play rs and DG with a laptop mousepad. However, I tried using a real mouse and simply found myself unable to, my left hand had grown so used to resting on the f keys that it felt so weird to operate the camera with my left hand. So now I'm basically stuck with using my right hand for mousepadding and my pinky finger for the camera arrow keys. I've been successful with this for the past few years and the function keys really help with making the mousepad easier to use. However skilled I am at using the mousepad, I'm starting to hit sort of an apm asymptote where I can only do so many actions with this sort of set up, whereas with a mouse more would be possible but I don't really feel like relearning how to play rs. I also misclick things occasionally, such as attack and prayer style switches.

I think he means to ask if monkeys even drop the strange rocks. I don't know the answer and am also interested to know. However I've done like 2 hours of training there and didn't get any either so it looks doubtful.

The overload carries over in to the first few minutes of the dungeon giving you boosted stats as well as healing you for 500 lp at the end of the duration. House options basically freezes the overload timer, so when we overload before a dungeon we will go into house options in case the dungeon doesn't start right away and we can have the stat boosts available for more time in floor.

This is what happens when you do dungeons with me, 7 gazers sighted in the past week :wink: Anyways, It was quite a good story, we had already ended except for Rocked who was finishing up the last door, where there was a gazer. We then had 1 minute to kill the soulgazer and then for max to bind the Hex.

Thai, for what you are suggesting I think a ccs+csb combo would actually be more beneficial to a team of random 3boers than a hex would. In my opinion, both are about equally useful in speeding up the regular floor. Most 3boers don't know proper monster kill order prioritization though, so a hex will lose its effectiveness as the whole team still targets mages, books, etc. However, most of them atleast know not to attack mageables first, therefore its easier to get the prioritization advantage while maging. Also, I noticed that most of them have law binds and barely anyone is willing to bind a csb in 3bo. I also think mage is a little better for general use than a hex, so if you are late to switch to melee or cant get your rings swapped correctly, you will be more effectively generally on non priority monsters than the hex with the same issues. Just my thoughts.
