  1. I have some time tonight, so I suppose GWD and TDs will be a nice way to kill the time. I'll screenshot my setup (healing really isn't needed) and probably video how to lure them. :). Stay posted. Edit - A decent setup for a beginner. I'm not sure how lower tier magic weapons would work. =/. Video to come. :P.
  2. It would have been really funny if at the end of a8jk13tjkp's, they'd put, "ty1234567890ty". But like Aiel said, I don't think any major site would lower themselves to fraud. I know dozens and dozens of people who've RWTed over various sites and not a single one had been scammed, hacked, DDoSed (lolreally, Jagex?), or lost their credit information. They might be a business of running bots and buying and selling gold, but they're a business. Their reputation affects their sales.
  3. $5 can currently get you over 15M on certain sites. Bonds buy for 5M over time. I believe JJ was buying them yesterday for 5.5M instantly. I think if their price was going to change or rise, it would have by now but they've stayed at 5-6M since release. Considering that, according to Jagex, 40-50% of people had previously RWTed, that cost (or need) apparently isn't very high. Bonds were an idea that probably looked good on paper, but I don't see them working. All they're doing is giving the very few who were worried about shady RWT companies the chance to RWT also. I've also not seen a difference in gold prices, by even a penny, on RWT websites yet.
  4. Has anyone read the bonds page? I had to laugh at every one of the stories underneath "What Are The Benefits?" Oh you, Jagex.
  5. Went to Bandos hop-crashing with my brother. But, we added a twist. Any drop we got, we gave to them. I personally got a Bandos Helmet drop which was 5.9M I think that I gave away. We weren't allowed to say anything the entire time except, "Gobble". Made for an interesting night. Unfortunately no screenshot because my Puush appears to be stuck at Uploading (100%). Found out that magic can easily outhit maxed melee. I always thought melee was better for DPS there. Very untrue. Edit: Got another helmet but the guy didn't want it. He was only there for effigies. So since we usually crash people's livestreams, I saw a guy named Cooleo14539 streaming Bandos so hopped to him and gave it to him. Little Thanksgiving treats. :).
  6. She plays RuneScape - I'm sure she'd understand. :P. I don't actually work for AP Plasman. I work for Industrial Network Solutions (INS) - A quality inspection company. We inspect parts and (sometimes) fix defects we find. We're placed at several companies, hired by them to inspect the parts they produce. One being AP Plasman. My partners at AP Plasman were Caroline and Louis. Well, AP Plasman is cutting their production down to 4K parts a day. That's not even enough for a single group to work a full shift. We didn't know this until just before our shifts today that we weren't going in. So, only one group got called in - I wasn't one of them. But, there's good news. Louis and I, in 2 weeks, broke every company record for INS. We increased production and efficiency by well over half, spotted more defects in two days then they've gotten all year (85 short shots the one day, 98 the next), and didn't miss a single defect. We busted our asses, which meant we went home an hour or two early sometimes... But it paid off! This morning I got a call. "Stev, you won't be going into AP Plasman today; they've only got 4K parts. But, we can get you into Magna Closures as soon as you can get there today. You'll be working alongside Louis." When I got there, my supervisor said, "Yeah, they (INS) insisted you guys always work together. Said you were faster, harder, and better then any employees they'd seen. So, any time you come in, you two will run your own team." Magna Closures is a lot more enjoyable then AP Plasman. I thought AP Plasman was really laid back, until the Magna supervisor says, "You wanna take a break, take a break. Wanna go grab a bite to eat, go eat. I want you two to work at your own pace. You need 15 minutes, tell me. Just don't tell me you need 15 and then take a half hour; then I'll have to do something. Listen to music, talk, hang out." Sold. I'm not inspecting parts anymore - I'm handling, filing down, buffing, etc before they get inspected. The shift today went by in what seemed like 2 hours. We may have busted our asses and cost ourselves a few hours at AP Plasman, but we're the only two who weren't sitting at home getting no hours today and from now on because of it. Hard work pays off. ^^.
  7. Yes, I'm still awake. >.< What are your reasons for C++ over something like VB? Especially for a beginner? IDK how I hadn't thought of PHP. I've been using it and getting back into it a fair bit recently. Thinking about it though, it depends entirely on what his goals are. Depending on his goals for his career/hobby, some of these might be of literally no use other then experience. >.<
  8. Do I have more homework next semester? :P. HTML5 would be a great idea. The reason I say this is because using HTML5, you'll touch on and learn JavaScript and CSS. Having already taken Java, JavaScript will be a breeze for you. With web-apps and things becoming more and more common, it's (they've) got one hell of a bright future. Visual Basic is actually used a lot - just don't tell anybody. I'm going to get shanked for saying this but.. It's fast, stable, easy(er) to maintain, and easy to learn. I'd definitely recommend giving it a shot as there's still a lot of money to be made. It's gotten a bad rap, but it'll do the same job as other languages, only with less mileage. Usually the people who bash VB are the ones who've never used it and simply go by the public's general opinion and things they read. Python was personally one of my favorites. I don't know why, though, other then personal preference and what I used to design with it. I used it back when we were creating map layouts and templates for Wulfram II and loooved it. But, my opinion may be a bit skewed because I was a kid designing for a game I loved. I have no excuses for not keeping up with it, which I regret. But, I've got things to get done before bed. Will keep an eye on this thread though. :). I look forward to more homework. ^^.
  9. She had blonde-kinda-emo-like-hair wearing a Red Wings sweater. Damn right she was cute. :P.
  10. So today at work I noticed a girl with blonde-kinda-emo-like-hair. She gave me a weird look and I'd see her glancing over while we were inspecting our bezels. So on lunch, she walks up to me in the cafeteria and goes, "Are you Stev, by chance?" Even pronounced my name properly (brownie points). "Yeah, what's up?" She knew me from RuneScape. Just how I wanna be known at work. :P. Kinda pissed today though - supposed to be full-time and we got out today after 4.5 hours. Waste of damn time. RuneScape related - I did do a ZGW trip the other day when I got home from work. AFKed with magic. Died, as expected. Lol. Made it back using only Torva and dual Drygore. Ended the trip. What's the best setup for ZGW in terms of KPH? Also did a quick trip at SGW during which the graphics drivers on my newly formatted computer decided to fail. Hadn't (properly) setup my surround view. Since my cards and my onboard are the same type, when I install one of them it literally overwrites the drivers for the other which causes them to crash - unless I take a long time to set it up.
  11. Never enough sausage. Glad to be home from work. :).
  12. It's using a margin-top of -6px for some reason when it should be using: #nav_container { width: auto; height: 30px; position: relative; z-index: 100; padding-left: 10px; padding-right: 10px; clear: both; margin-top: -30px; }Fixes it for me, anyhow. :P.
  13. Soon as this PC is done reformatting I'll check it out. :P. Thanks for the heads up. Edit: Changes have been made and should be live soon. :). Thanks for the heads up!
  14. Go to My Documents\DGSweeper. Delete resource.dll. I doubt this is it, as you said it works for a few seconds, but worth a shot. I can't say I've heard of this happening in the past. Are you able to intentionally replicate it? For example, does it happen while the camera is moving, when you press a certain key, or when it should be capturing the map?
  15. Doesnt appear to like that Flickr doesnt have an extension on the end, might be easier to use puush (put .png at the end) or something like Photobucket Lies! I haven't used Flickr, but.. If you're using Chrome, with that Flickr page open, press F12, go to Resources > Frames > (www.flickr.com/) > Images. Cycle through them and when you find the right one, right click > Copy image URL. [img=http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7355/10094082686_bfcb13da4a_b.jpg]Or, on that Flickr page, right click the image on the actual page and select View all sizes > Original. Right click the image on the new page and Copy image URL. Although, taken from Flickr itself: The more you know. ;).
  16. Yesterday my group found 85 short-shots. Today I found 98. There must be something wrong with the press that's making them, but it'll be interesting to see what they do with my pay check. Lol.
  17. Is 13B/week any good considering bots bring in 170B/day? O_o.
  18. Hue hue hue. So I tried to take a video of where I work, what I do, and the dozens of different parts we make while I was walking out today. When I got home, I realized my SD card was full and it had only recorded a few seconds... Lol. But today I set two company records, which was nice. Also found out about a lot of the extra cash-bonuses they offer. Every other week, on Fridays, we get a $25 gift card to either the LCBO (liquor store) or gas. Guess where mine goes. :P. On top of that, we get $25 for: - 100 parts inspected with scratches. - 25 (I think) parts inspected with flashes. - 1 part inspected with a short shot. Kind of encourages us to keep our eyes open, even after looking at the same part for 8-15 hours. On average, a shift will find 5-7 short shots a week. Today I found 9. O.o. Also, today my group of 3 inspected more parts then any group ever has in one shift - over 5,500 (I think - I didn't stay long enough) passed inspection, and inspected over 8,000. On a RuneScape related note, I feel like doing TDs or GWD sometime soon, so I'm sure you can expect some of that coming up, since I can relax at both. :P.
  19. (Assuming they do actually know 40-50% have RWTed and aren't just pulling figures out of their...) They knew they were going to start providing their own RWT. Why ban them when they have a chance to make money off of them? Well, how many innocent people do you see claiming to be guilty? Alot of people had faith in Jagex's botwatch. Anyone who claimed to be unjustly banned was shamed and bashed for simply getting caught. That is.. Until a number of well-known legit players started to get banned, only to be later unbanned and reimbursed for their lost time. Then people started to really question it and finally started to realize how terrible/flawed of a system it was. How many people will this take? I'm sure not all of them are guilty.
  20. Right now, the majority of the work we do is for GM vehicles. So if you own a 2013 GM and part of the door breaks (our recent parts have been various door parts and spoilers), for example, sorry. :P.
  21. Thanks, Doc! We got a long weekend (the day off today) because our group is working too damn fast and were running out of parts to inspect. But, in my department there's 9 permanent and 2 temporary people (the other 2 fill in for when we can't come in). All of them are aged 19-25, with one being like 40. It's so laid back; We listen to music on our phones, talk, laugh, and enjoy ourselves - which is probably the reason we work so fast. They don't mind us texting or anything either, so long as we meet our daily quota - which is usually done by lunch. :D. Feels good to be a working man again with a steady income. Building websites and the occasional project on the side, with an added part-time job, just wasn't reliable enough for me.
  22. I forgot to mention.. My RuneScape career probably just bit the dust. Though, I'll still remain on Tip.It, doing my Crew and Mod duties as usual. I had two bits of news this last week.. Story #1: I've been looking to get away from anything PC related as a career. I've always wanted software engineering and web development as a hobby, never as a job. So when a friend of mine gave me the opportunity for a number of C.N.C. Machinist positions, I took it. I applied Tuesday. About 20 minutes after applying by e-mail, they called me in for an interview the next day. So I went to my interview. They loved me and wanted me to start orientation and such the next day at 3PM. I was pretty amped. However, another company called me, 2 hours before I was supposed to start orientation and wanted me to start at their company at 3PM. Not start orientation; actually start work. So, I landed a full-time job at a machine shop. I'm getting 90 days in as a quality inspector at A.P. Plasman, and then I'll move on to be either a press operator or (preferably) a C.N.C. Machinist. Leveling at about $24-28/hour, upwards of 50-60 hours a week. Story #2: Already amped about my new, and very easy, job.. I wasn't expecting things to get much better. On my way to work I got a call - it was from school. Apparently they'd been replying to my applications, but there was something wrong with my address in my profile. I'd gotten acceptance letters that had kept getting returned. Having applied too late for September (which I'm not sure is true - maybe I just didn't get my letter), I've been accepted for January for both Electrical Engineering and Computer Systems Technology - Networking. So I'll have to choose which to take (I'll likely sleep through the computer courses), and on top of that how I'm going to wrap noon-3AM shifts around it. >.< /stories. I'll probably get a few hours of RuneScape in every few weeks/months like I do now, but maybe not. Suppose we'll see. :P.
  23. Was anyone else waiting for the, "It's not an in-game advantage - it's a convenience"? Now factor in thousands of hours of people's invested time - suddenly it's not that simple.
