I slept through it... <_< My family lives about two hours from where it happened, they rang me this morning to tell about it. My friend was up in Christchurch for the weekend, and they have no power and sewerage. Lots of people felt it where I live, but I don't think there has been any major damage here.

Well, I suppose if you exclude family, I would say I have 7 or 8 good, close friends. I guess I have a couple of other good friends, but I guess I'm not really "super close" or anything. I don't really have a best friend as such, but about four who I sort of consider to be my best friends.

Hear hear. I'd rage if any daughter of mine was 12 and walking around in make-up, high heels and inappropriate clothes. But that's an all too common sight these days. :unsure: Also agreed. Yes, that's horrible. Being a girl myself, I can't help but compare myself to them and think what age I started wearing make-up and such. Oh and children with cellphones! Why on earth do 11-year-olds need cellphones. It also reeeeally annoys me when people call my artwork "nice". I hate that. What a pathetic adjective. I'd rather have someone absolutely hate my art rather than call it "nice". Nice is just such a mild word. It gets to me. *makes a mental note of this* Tomorrow: "That's nice, Leah. You're nice. Nice." "Nice job, Leah." "What do you think of my essay?" "It's nice." "These yoyos that I have stolen from you are nice." You get the picture. It's also supposed to blend multiple exposures, although sometimes I don't think it does a good job of that... Eh, I think I may go back and re-shoot the first two, won't be to hard as they're are close to home.

Oh yeah Jimmy, these were taken about 10 minutes up a walking track from where I live, they flow into that stream that I took the pics of in flood. Yeah, I might have another go at tone mapping them in Photomatix, I kinda suck at it, and after several attempts I though these were the best ones.
