  1. Man, that mage model you made was both awesome and very nice of you :D. Keep up your excellent progress with Agility, you're doing very well!
  2. That. Is. AWESOME!!! :D Thank you very much Zokot, I'll add it to the fron tpost now. And no problem supporting your goals :). Thank you very much for your support also  EDIT: That staff that the mage is holding, as well as the energy emitting from the tip... Gives me a crazy idea... I think I've found my P2P item :D. Thanks very much Zokot! I'll give you guys all the new info soon, it is only a basic idea at the moment but I have an idea. It should turn out very well if I make this work :)
  3. [hide=57 Mining][/hide] Fiya Powaaaaa! Hehe, I just watched Night at the Museum 2 with my little brother. Some funny bits, like the 300 spoof, but most of it was little kids comedy. In the process of adding a basic minig schedule, a simple laout of what I hope to accomplish over a set period of time, how I'm going to do it, and any other interesting info. I'm a sucker for order in "chaos" :P.
  4. [hide=56 mining][/hide] One more level down, ~13M experience left to go. Lots of mining ahead. It's already a lot of fun though!
  5. Because in the "manly" world of computer gaming, the more you have to click and use the keyboard, the older you are. I have yet to see a 12 year-old kid not know WoW inside out within a month, so this contradicts that statement. Summing it up, no game is for grown-ups. Ten year old kids play WoW too. It just appeals to 20 year olds for whatever reason, probably to fill in some form of social void. Nice fail statement. Perhaps you should play WoW properly and then comment. Any age group can play any computer game, however it's more likely certain age groups and certain skill levels will master those certain games. Sure 12 year old kids can PLAY WoW, but generally thoe older ones will actually perform the main tasks of the game that the younger generation can't. This is why Runescape appeals to all ages, as all aspects of the game are so simple and merely require time to master, not maturity or skill. ( Obviously barring higher end pking ). I played it for 3 months and mastered the entire damn thing. I know what I'm talking about -.- I'm not attacking the game, its good. But its made out to be full of skills and all that crap, which it isn't. I mastered it within my first month of play, got to 60 without the expansions, was on my way to 70 and I was doing extremely well. Most of the time I just went PvP'ing and it wasn't that damn hard at all. My brother is 12 and he mastered it within a month also playing on a separate toon also. I might not have played it for over a year, but it doesn't take a year to understand the game. It takes a month maximum. It isn't har at all, just like Runescape isn't hard. The only games I find difficult to master are those involving ducking, dodging, shooting, scoping, and throwing grenades. In other words, Halo for computer.
  6. Giving them members spells isn't the answer; this will just get people angry. Sees all has made an excellent suggestion for a new spellbook, which gives benefits to F2P and P2P mages. This way you keep the peac, and a lot of the combat spells will help to ratify the current problem.
  7. Haha very nice stories, please keep it up they're very entertaining!
  8. [hide=55 mining][/hide] Bad picture... I think I'll take the pics in small screen from now on :P Sinus is clearing up a bit, I also finished Brother Odd by Dean Koontz, it was a great book! I've read every book in the Odd Thomas series now. I hope he writes a 5th. Oh rite, I can mine mithril now :D
  9. curse my sinus! My head is killing me, my nose is running like a tap and my eyes are watering and really itchy. I put it down to allergies. I'm only 3K off 55 mining, so I'll post the level then take a break. I'll probably go lie down... To think that my mining destiny is gonna be hampered by real life! Gah!
  10. Ooooh, with new slayer master *hopefully* comes some monsters to fill the 90-99 slayer gap. A slayer guild would be uber awesome as well <3:
  11. Mine's dominated by fletching and woodcutting, they add up to about 70% of my skills, or 70% of my runescape time (because all I really do is train :XD:)
  12. Good luck on your 98 goals :P. And your banner made me dizzy
  13. Very nice guide, I'll definitely be using this
  14. Wow this would help with me cash pile XD Sign me up :) great to see some holiday fever in the (computerised) air.
  15. grats on 97, you're almost there :D
  16. x 2 = Grats :D you're getting closer. Once you get halfway it kinda gets easier I guess...
  17. Great work, 10/10  I can't stand summoning
  18. Actually, the 4-day event is not the Thanksgiving event. It is a community event set around the time of Thanksgiving. I guess you can call it a "Thanksgiving" event then. :P Also grats on 8m mining exp! Yeah that confused a lot of people, including me  Anyway, it was interesting and I enjoyed it. Hope they do something like it in the future, probably for the detective clothes next?
  19. The longest journey begins with a single step, my friend. And this is a long one. I'm glad that my adventures have helped inspire you to take up the pick and train one of RS's hardest skills. Good luck! Thank you Kaida! Don't stop posting on your blog ;) This next year should be filled with a lot of clicking XD
  20. My computer can handle runescape fine, so I don't think Im gonna fiddle around with any CPU settings :P.
  21. Well, you DO click a lot in Runescape. Just going for a 99 takes way too many clicks, let alone maxed stats or even 200M exp. Exactly. I find that games that use the keyboard just make you use one more hand, so I find it hard to change music on my ipod. One of the most annoying things in the world lol.
  22. Like troacctid said, look for those little boosts. Combat can supply things for other skills such as cooking and smithing which might not be readily obtanable for you at the present time, or they might just prove to be a nice little boost to your current supply. If you attempt to find these little shortcuts you can stockpile much larger quantities of raw goods which you can then use to train cooking, smithing, firemaking, etc. As for runecrafting, simply mine rune essence, make into runes and train mage. Combat, train your smithing so you can make better armour, or as mentioned before find monsters which drop rune armour/non-smithable armour, the list could go on. As you continue to train, you will find different methods of producing or gathering goods and supplies. Sometimes it is better to find shortcuts than to just train, train, train until you get X amount of goods. Wish you the best of luck with your DIY character :)
  23. Ivy is superior in terms of XP, Sawmill is even better. Eucs beat out Yews for money, and Special Log Teaks are extremely promising as well. I agree with you for everything except special teak logs, because I haven't actually cut teaks since that update :P. I went straight to Ivy. I definitely suggest either Woodcutting or something you really enjoy doing. Don't let Runescape become a chore :)
  24. Sorry to burst your bubble, but Jagex have roally [bleep]ed the PvP system of the game. Getting rid of the old Wildy for RWT purposes was kind of acceptible, but they haven't done anything good to remedy its removal. So I suggest you stay back or, like sonic said, do other things that the game has to offer.
  25. I don't think there is any set evidence of which skill will ge the high level update next. They are definitely bulking out a lot of skills though, such as fishing/cooking/mining, so my personal hunch is that they will add a PROPER Woodcutting update this time around rather than offering some better alternatives to training. Along with this they can bulk out fletching. But thats only because I love woodcutting :XD:
