Even though I'm powering through these levels, I'm not mining fast enough to finish this on friday. 70 will happen hopefully Saturday/Sunday, before the holidays officially start. 70-85 during holidays, possibly 90. If I get anywhere pst 90 on the holidays I'll be absolutely amazed. Lots of mining ahead!

grats on 82 :) and yeah runescape does die down a bit. I'm thinking of quitting sometime next year cause of school :?.

I think you're right. I don't want to brun myself out too early in. I really need the cash for 99 farming as well, which is gonna cost me in excess of 150M :shock:.

I've been going pretty crazy lately, mining like a lunatic (with regular breaks to watch the cricket :P). Hoping I can keep the pace up. Expect even more levels in the holidays :). I am very tempted by the concentrated ores in living rock caverns, bank and all. I will probably do rune mining on weekends, snag me a few mill over a year ad I'll have a very nice cash pile. So what I'm thinking is: 70-80: Powermine granite 80-85: Concentrated gold ore 85-99: Rune mining on weekends, concentrated gold ore. I'll update my mining plan accordingly :). Whoops, I forgot :wall:. I'm extremely tempted by the money to be made from 80-99 at living rock caverns, so I think I'll do them once I hit 80. I only really want the gold ore :P. Even though big scary rock dudes patrol around the cave, there's a clan that specialises in living rock caverns. World 84, I can go there and I'll be safe from attack. Plus they tell you when the veins collapse and reappear, so you don't go running around for 5 minutes whilst getting attacked. As I said above, I'll change my mining plan now. Must. Powermine. To. 80. =P~

If its alright with you I'd be grateful if you'd do concept art for the weapons I'm thinking of. I will start developing them next week when the holidays start :) Who knows what I'll develop next; It could be anything ;) stay tuned. And I don't think I mentioned safespots, if I did I'll get rid of them.

Once you get to Ivy you'll start enjoying woodcutting a little bit more. I powered through woodcutting cause I found it easy to do other things, but I guess everyone ahs there own preferences :P. Nice goals you have there, going for all 70+ I'm guessing?

This thread is not dead, promise! I'm just busy IRL and On RS at the moment. Holidays next week, once I finish these projects I can get to developing range/mage/melee weapons for this boss monster (untradeable of course ;)). They aren't members items, but I am still thinking about a P2P-only item. It is really hard to add a combat item to P2P that will actually be useful though. F2P, however, have a lot more room for expanding and improving. Sorry for the lack of inacivity, guys; life calls. I'll continue to keep this idea alive, trust me :lol:

Thats what I'm thinking now. I've done heaps more research and from what I've found living rock caverns are the way to go. I'll join a LRC clan and get mining once I hit 80. All I really want is the concentrated gold ores, for cash. And I wanna train my smithing a bit as well. I'll still mine granite from 70-80 and I will also do it between 80-99 for some quick experience on and off. Okay, but i really would suggest swapping to concentrated coal at 77 mining lol I'll probably throw it in there as well, I'm still not certain what I'm gonna do beyond 70 :P. [hide=62 mining][/hide] AGAIN! I missed the proper screenshot :evil:. Still, 62 mining. I've gain 7 mining levels in 3-4 days. Thats not too bad. I reckon I can get 70 before the end of the week or next weekend, whichever. I'm just happy I've come this far! I am sticking to the following: up to 70: Powermine iron 70-80: powermine granite 80-85: powermine granite/living rock caverns (still debating this) 85-99: Rune Mining/Powermine granite/Living rock caverns (debating also) Definitely going to powermine for levels 70-99 (granite); the only things I might decide to do is to go living rock caverns for some cash, maybe on weekends. Problem is, experience is worth mor than cash atm. Once I get into next year, my mining time will go down the drain :(.

Idk, living rock caverns might make it easier to get mining experience with less focus but it is still generally slow experience. And you still need to pay attention because of all the monsters running around in there. And your ore can collapse at any moment like woodcutting :P. Sure it made things easier, but it didn't make them that much quicker. Maybe by a week or two in the long run. Granite is still better experience if you can do it well. After saying that, granite will probably die down a lot because noone wants to drop ores. Well I don't. Its basically cash which you are throwing away. Makes meh sad :(. EDIT: Quote fail. My thoughts on mining though :P.

I swear I posted here before... I looked through the thread however and didn't find any post by Dr. Cox so I think I'll just post again. I love mining the way it is. I don't mind having to powermine for levels. I just pop in my earphones, turn on the cricket and I mine away. So far I'm having a heap of fun. I don't think that mining should be changed as a skill. It is meant to be hard to level without focus and it accomplishes that. Not every skill should be another Woocutting or Fishing if you gather things -.- I do agree that addy/mith rocks are extremely downplayed though. Put them in better areas where banking is a bit easier (mith is located in the guild, but personally it could be better/ore places to mine/bank). And don't get me started on addy... that, at the moment, is definitely not worth mining. Most people (including myself) skip/are going to skip addy/mith for cash and head straight to runs, which is very sad imo. But there is no incentive or reason to actually go out there for an hour and mine these ores, unless you need some cash desperately or you are superheating.

I can't wait to hit 85+ Mining and hear ppl saying "omfg u r botz :o". Will be fun to just ignore them and see what reporting me does. Hopefully nothing :mellow:

I'm on corstica as well. Currently level 5. I only played a couple of minutes (maybe 20 at max) and it seems alright.
