Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
Happens with everyone. You'd be surprised at how many teachers fail to spell the correct word. The one that does annoy me is waste/waist. It's so damn obvious which one is correct, yet they'd still constantly make the same mistake. One thing that annoys me; Brain farts. You raise your hand in class desperate to answer, then when you finally answer, you're stuck. :| Are/Our and Two/to/too come up too. Even if it does happen with everyone, there's very simple rules that are easy to remember for all of them. I see a lot of people say something like "Are we going to you're house?" You're is obviously a contraction because of the apostrophe, I don't see how people mess that up. "Are we going to you are house?" makes absolutely no sense. And speaking of sense, I see sense/cents/since a lot too... Yes two many people do that. It's so annoying sense you can't do anything about it, your right. I love you're posts

That's the whole point of my previous post. If the GE updated more (for a particular item) due to excessive demand and low supply, then it would be more frequently traded, hence not stuck in the loop that we're in right now.

No i dont think a single person on this forum would disagree with what you just said Tastes like a hint of sarcasm. I'll wait for a response to that. Interesting to hear other people's views. Lol, just realized. OP actually proposed the same 'solution', except only for Partyhats. One of the rare threads where I actually agreed with someone I tend to disagree with.

Instead of complaining about how the GE is broken, how about proposing a solution that might actually work? If the GE updated according to Supply and Demand, acting swiftly on it, the GE might actually function 'properly'. I know what you're all thinking, it'll make Price Manipulation so much easier. This isn't all true. What most people don't understand is how a manipulation clan actually works. It relies on confidence of the item to actually rise, and not crash instantly on the buyers of the item. Even if manipulation is a problem, prices will return to what they should be very quickly, thanks to the price mechanism/Invisible Hand. This idea isn't 100% perfect, which is why I still need to change it. Feel free to disprove/correct me.

Heh. This thread reminds me of biased articles on the times. Since I glanced through the thread, I'll sum up what I read so far; Assumption - We are wasting time playing Runescape. Is this true? It's subjective. Think about it, if you're not playing RuneScape during your free time, what will you be doing? Reading a book? What kind of book? If the knowledge within the book is not practical, you are also technically 'filling a void' to make yourself happy. And how likely is it really that you'd read the book in the first place? Most of my spare time is used up on the Forums, or on Typeracer, or on another game. The same applies for most people, alot of players tend to go on their Xbox or PS3 if they're not playing RuneScape. This thread also implies that playing RuneScape is bad for you. That's not necessarily true. It is perfectly possible for a player to do other things whilst training on RS, and enjoy the game without getting addicted. I feel like I can post more, but I can't think of anything. Gah. Edit - Lol at the pixel argument. That's hardly an argument. To say RuneScape is basically clicking on pixels is like saying money is just paper. To watch an informative documentary, you are watching coloured pixels move about. To read a book, you are reading ink stamped on a thin layer of fibrous pulp. That argument is just silly.- The Wilderness
How can you ruin something that has never been good? On topic; The old wilderness will never come back, why do people actually like the PvP in it? If you like the thrill so much, go to W18 and do your clues there or something It used to be a thriving area, until destroyed during the God Wars. In fact, it was described as "heaven on earth". Ah. But that's RuneScape mythology, not ingame content that has been explored. I still think it's silly how people actually enjoyed the old dump of the wilderness. I agree that it shouldn't be like a massive city like it is now, but I don't believe it should revert to the way things were.- The 'You're Banned' Game (over 38,000 banned!)
Banned for not eating your own babies.- Should the Internet remain anonymous?
Silly idea. Although, there are questions asked before actually taking part in this little 'debate'. How 'unanonymous' are we going to get? Should we have an online passport, that shows every site we've been on, every comment we've made, every site we've browsed, every word typed and every keystroke of every muose movement? Are we going to give a name, date of birth, age, gender, sexual orientation, list of most visited sites, list of all sites visited, etc? What are you going to do to make sure the person on the computer is really that guy he logged in as? Account sharing happens on RuneScape, emails, and workplaces. There is a whole bunch of new scenarios that we potentially have to face. An example of where simply posting your real name can get you into deep crap: http://www.atomicmpc.com.au/News/219257,more-cases-of-real-idblizzard-fallout.aspx Until you propose a scenario, with examples, we won't be able to argue effectively. Snap judgments can be made in a snap because they are frugal, and if we want to protect our snap judgments, we have to take steps to protect that frugality - Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
