  1. I think that goes for bot detection methods as well, though. It'll probably be a bit of a status quo, with the balance occasionally swinging in either direction. Enjoyed the articles :) Bot detection will always be slower than the bot makers advancements though. Andrew even said that. The quote goes something along the lines of "If we increase our macro detection system two times, they will advance four times". It's a neverending battle.
  2. Posting in large red letters doesn't make you look any more legitimate. Your article does contain some fallacies and assumptions, and that is a fact. Actually on topic; You are pointing out problems, without actually giving any kind of solution to the problems. You say that inflation is bad, but what should be done about it? In my opinion, Inflation is always better than deflation, as long as it's pretty evenly spread on all items. This is because with deflation, no one wants to buy any items. Items are always going to be cheaper the next day. Inflation, only makes items cost more, however, the moneymakers become more profitable, and you can do trades quite easily by trading risings for other risings. As stated by bladewing before, the problem should be fixed at the source. Why not just change the way the drops are given? If there is 400b in items and 1000b in gp in the current active economy, PvP drops should be given at a 2:5 ratio of items to gp (a changing ratio or figure every day, or whatever other unit of time is deemed most appropriate). That way, the balance remains intact. I don't agree with the point that "Bots supplies are insecure". It could be true, but players will bridge the gap quite easily. To to point; With the current way Jagex is banning these botters, I can't see any mass bannings anytime soon. Bots will always become more advanced, and over time, bots will be nearly undetectable. Hmm, not sure what else to argue about. I'll leave this post here
  3. In Economics, the self regulating nature of supply and demand is generally referred to as 'The Price Mechanism' or 'The Invisible Hand'
  4. Intentional, or drunk disaster? And did you swallow it...? :x I think I had the rear end of a chicken before. It wasn't very clean.... to say the least
  5. I actually suggested the first idea on RSOF when the PvP worlds came out, though in a different way. I don't really know what to say about the articles though, the first one I agreed to some extent, but the conclusion is pretty hazy. I don't quite get how the points made led to conclusion that "The RuneScape economy is like a stack of cards on quicksand" or whatever the quote is. Hmm, I'll read it more thoroughly later.
  6. Dark Bow and Korasi says hi. I think the EE is inferior to SGS in certain circumstances, but EEE > SgS in most situations.
  7. I'm pretty sure he has gotten the month ban. Why else would he be posting on 'Slur' and 'year'. Hmm. I think Korasi will be nerfed though, it's a bit too strong, perhaps Melee Protection prayer would work against it in PvP?
  8. Let's not forget pretending to be a girl. And then pretending to be a guy. On Topic; Sling sucks. How can you nerf something that has never been good?
  9. Rune Knives > Hand Cannon > Karil's Xbow > Chaotic Xbow > Rune Xbow > Msb > Bronze Darts > Fists > Sling
  10. I farted near the wall. 28hp
  11. No there isn't. Just because someone made the God up, doesn't mean it would definitely not exist. One of the annoying things in RuneScape; When you use a new comp, and everything takes forever to load :|
  12. The Magic Longbow (s) is overlooked. Tbh. It is THE ranged weapon for long-range snipin'
  13. Your speed: 117 wpm Time: 0:25 Accuracy: 99.2%
  14. Because it's hard to fix it without breaking something else, and since only super-high-end items are affected, the problem is mostly self-contained and doesn't have to be a high priority for developers. You'd be surprised at how the market works. I forget how exactly, but the high end partyhats affects the confidence of almost every other item, through indirect means. I don't have any 'proof' for this yet, but I'll find some later. Damn, nearly time to go to the bed.
  15. By saving those miners, you're saving their health. You're overthinking this. Guestimate - It must have cost at least what, 5 million pounds+? That money could have been used to save many patient's lives. Chile or whatever the country it is, isn't very rich.
  16. I remember some quote from SuperSize Me going something along the lines of "Scientists have tried to find a Nugget in a chicken. There just isn't any"
  17. I really don't want to know what goes into making that... o_O http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mechanically_separated_meat Some of this stuff goes on your dollar menu burgers. Enjoy
  18. I typed 135wpm on a college computer the other day, and 138 a few months back. I think if I get the same quote again, I might do 130+ again
  19. Twss. But seriously, RuneScape addiction doesn't exist.
  20. For the character, not the person. But that's just being fallacious
  21. You must know very little about the RuneScape economy. If the junk most partyhat traders have got is going to crash to 1/100 of what they were, it would mean they would lose almost every gp of "street" they paid. Normal, manipulated junk sells at between 33%-60% of original price. Obviously people are going to panic about losing nearly a bil worth of their banks.
  22. By definiton, life means the condition that distinguishes organisms from inorganic objects and dead organisms, being manifested by growth through metabolism, reproduction, and the power of adaptation to environment through changes originating internally. "Not having a life" doesn't quite make sense. To live, or to exist, would mean you'd have a "life". Prove me wrong.
  23. Yep, quite simple physics. It's stupid that some people think it's not deteriorating in the body, because it does. It just doesn't get mouldy in the air because there isn't enough moisture content in the damn thing.
  24. I believe this video is related. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wmac-INoXg
