Hmmm, Piety in f2p anyone? Hitting 27's/28's and smiting in f2p is funnnn. Also, Ba smuggling glitch, poh glitches, penguins, turkey instant respawn and many others that I saved and lost cause my damned laptop broke -.-.

For your level, I'd suggest cockroaches, as the others said there are lots better ways than cockroaches but you have too low melee stats for better methods such as waterfiends. Maybe try black demons? Or train slayer if you like variety, though you may not get as many charms as you would if you killed something better. Also, ice giants/ice warriors are decent for gold charms.

Where did I suggest it be removed? I love the skill, why would I want it taken out? That being said, as pureprayer said, it wouldn't have that big of an impact. SS just means your strength drops 5 and your attack drops 19, and bandos boots work just as well. Besides, they could just as easily assign the drops to another monster -.- Well... I suppose that could happen.... but are you really going to use the SS against dragons? It's two handed, which means no antishield..... you're going to get burnt, badly.

Hmmm, Compfreak, tell me this, if Slayer sucks so bad, and it was completely removed, all rewards from slayer would be removed also.... where would you get your whips, dark bows, slayer helmets, dragon boots + more? Obviously not pvp, since it's going to all be removed anyways, what can replace the whip? I agree that relying on slayer drops is not the best way to earn money, but without them RuneScape will not be the same RuneScape, perhaps everyone would be wielding dragon scimitars in combat instead of whips. I consider slayer a tool, something RuneScape needs, but not (always) liked. Feel free to correct me, I like being disproved ;) . (maybe I phrased it wrong, my main point are the slayer drops being so useful in combat that without slayer runescape will just not be the same)

All/most monsters should be like waterfiends and the corporeal beast IMO, being very strong to most combat styles and weak to one specific combat style. If poison were made f2p, the stab weapons would be more used, but right now, they suck.

This thread needs a compfreak response. Why not spend a few hours training your hunter up and do the quest defender of varrock? The time saved for gaining your xp would be MORE than getting the requirements for defender of varrock, piety and salve amulet (e). I am too lazy for calculations myself and too tired also, so long, narbs. Also, Dharoking Zombie (monkey's) is not a good idea, it's a very slow weapon with a lower damage per minute than a whip.

I've gotten 100k xp per hour at armoured zombies 'afking' it.

Hmmmm, so carefully thought out I cannot think of something to argue about this thread. I hate slayer too, 99 slayer is obviously a great achievement but I prefer getting my xp by 'semi afking' it. One thing about slayer that I *really* hate, the inability to choose your own monster to kill, and the amount. The xp rates for slayer are pretty variable, say, if you went to duradel and got 5 mithril dragon tasks in a row (very damned unlikely, but with true randomness, it's possible), you would be getting very very low xp per hour. So I kinda disagree with your 'average xp per hour rates'. For those who wants to have a high total, slayer xp is worth it's weight in gold (stashes =p), so, to sum it up, TRAIN SLAYER IF YOU ENJOY IT OTHERWISE DON'T DO IT![/caps] *Eagerly awaits a compfreak response ;) *

Use an ss dude, or a zspear.... it DOES make a difference......
